my screen protector finally came in
although i messed up one. got some dust on the static side.
i think they said i could just rinse it off with water. but since it came with 2 pairs each for the front and back i just used the other one.
anyways the bumper fits fine over it, so i think i am set.

it feels fine. obviously not as smooth as rubbing your finger on the glass. but its not like those other films that give it a rubbery feel and make swiping harder to do.
the few things that i noticed that sux about it, is that it picks up smudges now.
also when then screen is turned off and you look at it in some off angles, you kind of see this rainbow effect on the film. doesnt really show up when the screen is on thou

Of course the naked glass beats any protector in terms of feel, but I'd compare the difference as sliding your fingers across a clean car versus a newly waxed clean car. Abit more resistance with the IS.
Why did you hate the IS? I put in on my Captivate and it looks good except for 4 microbubbles that I hope fade away. The back applications had no orange peel effects, but the screen is an orange tilted in the sun.

and the one for my iphone 4 had an orange peel to it.
it protects the shit out of a phone, but it feels terrible in comparison.
Anti-glare > bare glass > Invisishield in terms of touch comfort.
though i still have the back cover on b/c its the least noticeable of all shields..
i think its just you. i have one on my original iphone and it still feels rubbery as shit.
right after i got the 3GS i took off the film on the screen because i hated it so much.

The man who made the iPhone 4 is out
But for the sake of iPhone owners, I hope this dismissal is based on some personal reason like banging the secretary and not due to the magical device.

Two years after fighting in court to hire him, Apple has let IBM's Mark Papermaster go
Mark Papermaster. Photo: Apple Inc.
It was one of the most contentious hires Apple (AAPL) ever made.
In November 2008, Steve Jobs hired Mark Papermaster, IBM's (IBM) top microprocessor executive, to replace Tony Fadell as head of the iPod and iPhone division. IBM promptly filed a complaint in federal court to prevent Papermaster from leaving, arguing that he possessed highly confidential IBM trade secrets. The dispute -- which made headlines for weeks -- wasn't settled until the following January in a deal that required Papermaster to wait until the following April to join Apple.
Sixteen months later, Papermaster is out, replaced as head of the iPhone division by the man who originally recruited him, Bob Mansfield.
The news was reported by the New York Times and confirmed by Steve Dowling, head of Apple PR.
Papermaster, Dowling told the Times, "is leaving the company and Bob Mansfield, senior vice president of Macintosh hardware engineering, is assuming his responsibilities."
Papermaster's sudden departure immediately set off speculation that it was somehow related to the iPhone 4's widely publicized antenna problems. Given that he was the head of the division that produced the phone, it's a conclusion that's hard to avoid.

The Ford Sync stuff streams via bluetooth. My friend has an escape and an iPhone and he does it all the time. I was in his car with my iPad and streamed from my ipad to his car stereo, it was pretty cool. But he can't skip tracks or FF or REW. I think he can do the voice commands with it though.
