I never had an issue with my Nexus S, but my brothers GNex had severe burn in.

 

If my old phone had apps saved to the old SD card, how does it work when it goes to a new phone? Do they get wiped out from the card when they go to a new phone? Do I have to use Windows explorer to delete the files?

 

My Galaxy Nexus never had any issues with burn in screens.

 

I'm in no way downloading Lollipop right now.

 

I went to look at phones and ended up crossing over to the light side and walked out with an iphone 6 plus. I liked the Note 4 but they didn't have one to sell in stock and the iphone plan through Sprint was $10 per month cheaper. That pushed me over the edge. No regrets so far. The build quality and features of this phone are amazing. I'm in love with the finger print scanner, I always hated having to type in a 4 digit code to unlock my EVO 4G. I never took advantage of all the flexibility the Android platform offered over iOS so there probably won't be much for me to miss.

1) imagine on windows if you installed apps to an external hard disk, then moved the hard disk to a new machine. It's basically the same thing.
2) No.
3) Yes, or you can use an android file explorer to remove them.

Some phones act weird if you format the external SDcard via a card reader in windows. In those cases, you need to format the sdcard on the phone itself.
(backup/restoring data through windows works fine).

I try to keep my own files on 'obvious' external directories:
misc_docs
misc_music

so it's easy to find/backup those directories as needed.

Yeah my pics are either in DCIM or Pics and the Music is in a folder I created. The rest will be deleted.

 

Single biggest thing I hate about using my iPad after using an Android for so long.

There's some bugs to work out, but so far so good. I much prefer Moto's implementation of active notifications. L changed the way some apps work, so there was that initial adjustment period.

Installing the Nexus 5 images on my phone. First boot is taking forever! It must be the ART conversion process...

 

Damn Lolli looks great. That Material design is sexy af and I love the tabbed Gmail and notification screen. God I hope Sammy doesn't kill too many of the upgrades. FYI, Google Keyboard app already has the Material Keyboard as an option but personally I hate the spacing.



Note 4 has a fast charger too but most are seeing a full charge in 90 mins. Personally I let it charge normally since I usually only charge overnight.

Great shots. It's fucking close. I notice with my personal experience the same as this guy with the Note 4's strengths.

 

I actually do want a new keyboard on the 4, I keep hitting . instead of space.
And I can't wait for lollipop the Material Design is very nice, simple and pleasant.

 

The new material keyboard is nice. I love it. Space is a bit small but with more use, I can get used to it.

 

I've tried liking the Sammy keyboard on the 4 and my old 2. The numbers already there and holding down the button to get a symbol are great options but the swipe prediction and having a correct word was nowhere near as accurate as the Google one.

 

So many sites are putting up "links coming soon" under Nexus 4 Lollipop OTA Zip file posts just to get clicks.
