On the Note 3, its even easier to tether....there is a loophole in the design....so all you do is install a wifi toggle widget....
hit the widget and on screen you get a message saying "Dial 611 if you want to tether"...instead of hitting OK, press the home button....the wifi tether is on...
you can configure it using the notification bar....you dont even have to be rooted to do that LOL....
Consumers wanting to get their phones unlocked will no longer have to venture into sketchy alleys or behind hidden doors to do so. The Federal Communications Commission and the Wireless Association recently announced five major U.S. carriers have agreed to allow the unlocking of certain phones and tablets, according to Jenny Paul, Marc Martin and Marty Stern on K&L Gates’ TMT Law Watch Blog.
Verizon Wireless, AT&T Mobility, Sprint Corp., T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular have all committed to unlocking eligible devices at a customer’s request, say the authors. Former policies of banning the unlocking of devices have been heavily criticized, including by the Copyright Office of the Library of Congress, note Paul, Martin and Stern.
Devices may not be unlocked (and thus used on a competitor’s network) once a contract term has ended or, if prepaid, one year after the initial activation. The carriers have also agreed to notify customers when they are eligible to have the device unlocked. The new policies are expected to take effect within a year.

after spending a week with The Moto X, I decided to give it up.
In the end, I couldnt give up the larger screen size of the Nexus 5 despite the cool features of the Moto X.
it'll be given to my brother as a christmas gift

The resolution is a big deal. But I feel like 4.7" is bordering "too big" for me.
I put the order in already, so this is also me convincing myself I did the right thing
I don't think I experiment with rooting enough to take advantage of a Nexus phone anyway...

I just like that its small in the hand.
I was in norcal over the weekend for a trip and my cousin has a 5s. My god that camera is amazing at night. I was pretty jealous of it. The Moto X was pretty shitty in comparison. So much so I had her pull her phone out for every pic we took of our families at night lol. I didnt wanna use mine.
I will say though during the day, the Moto X was good. I'll post some shots I took later.
I was running a custom rom on my Note 1 and I was able to tether of it for free...I have the unlimited data plan so I had no worries...

I hope your brother dislikes your resale color scheme and no engraving
Not sure where to post this but the Yeezus album is free on the Play Store:

So I finally tried out Avia Player's Chromecast function and its working great! It can stream movies/shows from another app that's better than the other one I recommended on here a few months ago. I'm able to stream HD movies/shows from my Android devices straight to the Chromecast all without a hitch. So happy right now.
I haven't tried it out for local files yet but I hear its not completely compatible with all file formats. Not a big deal for me because I don't plan on storing local movies on my devices. Just streaming it off the other app onto the Chromecast.

For the streaming app, I'm not sure if I can post it since again, it is straight up warez. Its so much better than the other ones I hinted to in the past because the links actually work. Compile a PM list and I can upload it somewhere if you guys want it. Oh and no root needed for any of these.

I am loving the latest updated to Business Calendar.
They added a holo agenda widget (finally!) and it works as a lock screen widget too. So much better looking than their old one. Phone screens now actually look cohesive.

I'm going to mammoth next week as well, hoping there is an HDTV there.
Well in the meantime you can still use the app to watch on your devices until then. Really getting a lot of use out of my Chromecast and my girlfriend is using it a lot as well.
