What would be the best handset offering for Verizon in the Droid RazrM size category right now? I don't want a giant phone but may need a new one if I happen to throw mine at a wall in frustration.

If you are just getting a phone based on size alone and nothing else...
DROID MINI is just about the exact same size, or if you can do with just a teeny tiny bit larger, the Moto X.

Thanks, was spying the moto x. When I got the RazrM, it was kind of in the middle of it's life cycle and is now (1 year into service) REALLY slow and laggy at times...

Looking to possibly get something a little fresher in it's life cycle.

The factory reset didn't do anything?

Have not had a chance to yet. need to make detailed notes about what I have installed, where icons are, etc first. Just too busy right now to take the 30 minutes to document everything so I can get it all back to normal after the reset. If it was simply a personal phone I would have done it, but i use it a lot for work so I need to get it back to it's current app/widget config so I can see all my junk...

You say that, yet you don't preach it

Yea, screenshots FTW.
And then switch to something like Novalauncher which you can save/restore your widgets. Restoring widgets was the biggest nightmare for me whenever I flashed a new rom, and NOVA has made that 100x easier.

Awesome, thanks. using Apex launcher so I will see if it has the feature, too.

I am running darthstalker for t-mobile note 3. I like it a lot. It uses the aroma installer so you can update without always having to start clean.

Is anybody still having issues with mms messages after using hangouts? I made sure the APN settings were configured a la google and t-mobile, but my mms only go through once or twice after a reboot.

I disabled the MMS and Hangouts being together... I rather keep them separately

I'm doing great! Nice to see old faces around. Or usernames.

NetEditor was another one... every once in a while an OG will pop up after a hiatus and it's the most excited I'll be on AZ all day

I tried that too. It does the same as I explained from either hangouts or the messaging app for mms now. Annoying. Sometimes it works, most times it does not and I end up emailing the pic. Even texting a link to a couple people doesn't work.

Would you guys be willing to buy a Nokia built phone that ran a forked version of Android that will not have any access to Google (Play) services at all, but instead promote Nokia's own ecosystem and possibly WP's?

Works well for me too, but I had to disconnect my phone number from iMessage, which does not happen automatically. Kind of a big hassle, as messages to my phone number would go to my Mac and iPad and not my phone.

I love active notifications... but i put my work email on my phone, and now i'm required to have an 8!!! Yes 8! Digit pin code... so stupid lol

Anyway i set the 8 and i put it so my phone doesnt lock till after 10 mintues the screen is off. So after that 10 minutes i can which app the notification is from but i cant see the message. Kinda annoyed haha, contemplating taking my email off, but i shouldnt.

Yeah....I narrowed it to an issue with my data connection when on Edge network. It works fine when I am connected to LTE or 3G....just super finicky when on EDGE. I have to toggle my wifi and mess around to get it to work.

Probably something related to darthstalker.

I couldn't even settle for a Amazon-ized tablet (Fire HDX). I would have to say no.

But this is just off of pure guessing. I have never used a Windows Phone in detail, though from what I hear it's lacking in many aspects as far as apps. I imagine Nokia would be gimped as well.

It has already begun........ encountered 2 Apple fanbois who say they can't wait for the iphone 6 because it will be the size of the GS4.

Remember when they all said that giant phones were useless and that their iphone 4, then iphone 5s were the perfect sizes?

i wonder what steve jobs would have said

I remember in the reveal for the 5, he showed that 4" is the perfect size cause your thumb can reach all corners of the screen easily and that apple wouldnt go bigger...
I mean sure it was a good reason, but just goes to show how intelligent they are at marketing haha.

It's not GS4 size per the rumors. Supposedly the iPhone 6 is only going up to 4.8"

He actually rolled over in his grave a few times already. The iPad Mini was especially hard on his decomposing body.
Jobs vetoed all size changes. He was non-negotiable about them.

that is just shy of the S4...S4, if I remember right has a 5" screen

but am sure the apple fans are going to be like "but its not as big as the S4, its 0.28763453476457 inch smaller"
