Damn dude! You don't have enough phones?

Or you could just ask speedemon90, since he did it yesterday.
Pro tips: Be signed into the Moto site before the sale starts, and get there as soon as it starts. Yesterday's sale ended after 10 minutes.
Also, 4.4.1 is out now guys.

Go to the Motorola.com the time the deal starts. On the front page there will be a button that says reserve yours now or something like that. If its not there refresh.
Do not go into the motomaker. Your checkout will not show the price. You need to click the reserve your promo code thing and enter in your name, email, and phone number. Then in a couple hours you'll get info how to purchase it with $150 off.
So theres no rush in ordering it, but there is one in reserving it. It went out in like 5-10 minutes on wednesday.
So with the updated camera of the N5, would you choose the Moto X or N5??
Also whats the point of the google wallet card?? Anyone? Why would I want another debit card for a debit card I already have. I'll then have two debit cards that take money from the same bank. I'm confused with google's move here...

One card to rule them all, the google wallet card.

Pinky: "Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?"
The Brain: "The same thing we do every night, Pinky—try to take over the world!"

but the execution of the idea didnt work out as planned and we just got a watered down version of google wallet card

Millions of Android users 'deceived' by flashlight app that shares location with advertisers
http://www.theverge.com/2013/12/6/51...ata-settlement
An Android developer has agreed to settle charges with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over a free flashlight app that has been "deceiving" users. Brightest Flashlight Free, available in the Google Play store, has been downloaded over 50 million times, but a complaint from the FTC reveals that the seemingly innocent app transmits “precise location” data to third-party advertisers alongside a unique device identifier. The FTC says an option to prevent the location sharing “deceived consumers” as the data was automatically shared before users could disable it.
“When consumers are given a real, informed choice, they can decide for themselves whether the benefit of a service is worth the information they must share to use it,” says Jessica Rich, director of the FTC’s bureau of consumer protection. “But this flashlight app left them in the dark about how their information was going to be used.” The FTC’s settlement forces GoldenShores Technologies, the app developer, to provide more control over the location sharing and not misrepresent how the data is being used and shared. GoldenShores Technologies must also delete all the data it previously collected as part of the FTC settlement.

I mainly got it because it was freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Free stuff are always better.
I never activated mine. It just looks cool.
i feel that way towards most google products.
they'll release something half assed; and then move on from it.
"oh, we tried!"
but never fully bother to fix the kinks.
some products however are winners.

You can link multiple bank accounts to it, or even put money in it via credit card if you want. If the latter, then I don't know why you would use the Google Wallet card to begin with unless you are paying usage fees for your current debitcard(s) already and/or don't like credit cards.

Ohh yea I'm moving up to sacramento... so lets have our android/azine meet before I go up lol
Yea I see, but most places dont have fees, I dunno. I use CC for points. I mean why not. I still am learning to budget myself and not spend money that I don't have.
I will after i'm done with school haha
Yea. I was going for their LA office, but they seemed fit that I'd be better off in sac with my experiences. Once I get the experience I'll probalby move back within the company in a couple years or look for a new job down here.

To those of you NOT on a Nexus device, when you use the navigation (the free one from Google), is the voice robotic sounding? I'm loving the Note 3 so far but I'm noticing that certain minor better things are kept within Nexus devices. With my Nexus 4, the voice on the navigation was more of a real voice. It's a good thing that I don't need to use it often

- In the Samsung App Store -> Utilities (Free) you will see "Samsung TTS HD US English" an update providing a significantly improved text-to-speech engine from stock (84MB)
- In Google Play Store - "Google Text-to-Speech" - you can install the Google text-to-speech engine!!!! (10MB)
- In Google Play Store - "Ivona Text-to-Speech" - you can install the Ivona
text-to-speech engine (there are a number of voices you can download about 148MB each)
Settings -> Controls -> Language and Input -> Text-to-speech options
and choose the engine you prefer to use.

I love my Note 3 too!
when I get the moto x, i'll play with it for a week and see which device i like better, the N5 or the MotoX.
plus, with no insurance on these off contract phones, its nice to have a back up, just in case.
Short version: They felt the N10 didn't get as much attention as it should have last year being released at the same time as the N4, in addition to the online store woes of a multiple product release at the same time. Additionally, since LG is making 2 Nexus products this year, they want to give LG as much space as possible to make both products a success, again learning from last year's mess. Finally, since 4.4 got rushed a bit to meet the Halloween/KK tie-in deadline, it would've just added more problems to the current jumble.
tl;dr: It's not ready yet.

There wasn't a huge crowd that rushed to the Nexus 10. I mean sales have picked up recently, but that is only due to third party resellers selling them at huge discounts. Overall, still not a huge seller.
I was actually hoping LG made a Nexus version of their LG GPad 8.3 since that thing was just a beauty and a beast, inside and out. Though, it will be interesting to see how a new Nexus 10 will look like since it will be based off the GPad 8.3. Some sources are even saying that it will be a Nexus 8.3, which would be a better reason for why they didn't release it so close to the Nexus 7.

I'm at $8 now.
