You need to read the article yourself, then figure out that most of what he "actually" said was said with respect, about how damn good Brady really is.

We did beat your Bears once already this season...a repeat isn't too far fetched.

Well, Galvatron...It all depends if the Bears go full-retard and hand the game to your Seahawks.

If they call for 15 step drops and 95% pass plays with no run...well, we don't even need to play the game. Your team gets to advance.

You trying to tell me you couldn't come up with at least 23 other kickers in this league who could've produced like Akers if thrown onto a team with Vick, Jackson, Maclin & McCoy? C'mon now. They've still got him because Andy Reid has always been a "loyalty" guy, which is fine, as long as it's warranted. Akers' leg strength has been declining for a couple of years now but his experience has made up for it. His percentage has stayed high because they haven't been letting him try anything too long. But if 35 yards is now too long... sayonara.
You can't compare other teams to the Pats when it comes to being able to "plug someone else in." Belichick has proven over and over again that he is a master of it like no one else. Remember who was kicking field goals and extra points for the Pats before Gostkowski. Look at what he's gotten out of Woodhead who was a Jets cast off.

Well, with Cutler as the QB...it's not hard to go full-retard

It's going to be a cold weather game...it should be a run heavy game. Problem is...we can't run for jack squat other than a lucky run by Lynch (and some seriously poor tackling by the Aints)

As much as I think Cutler is not all that great, I believe most of the problems with Chicago is the -ish O-line.

Add that to some boneheaded play-calling coming from the sidelines and you've got yourself the problems with Chicago's offense...The WR corp is not that great either.

Put it this way: If Cutler had the decades Brady had, he would not have so many haters. Brady could read War and Peace back in the pocket and maybe a opposing DE will brush past him at around page 624.

You think you guys have a crappy O-line? I think we've led the league the past couple of years in terms of different O-line starting combos.

Ever since Numskell Ruskell used the wrong tag on Steve Hutchinson...our O-line has gone to hell. Add to the fact that Walter Jones was hurt the last couple of years and then finally retired before this season...well you have nothing to complain about on your O-line.

May the best -line win this Sunday

He's far from the only example, though. I've seen it happen with Garrett Hartley and John Carney (and back again) on the Saints, Jason Hansen & Dave Rayner on the Lions, Matt Prater & Steve Hauschka on the Broncos, Gostkowski & Graham on the Pats... and that's just this season! (Yes I remember a lot of useless crap from playing fantasy football...) Unless a kicker just plain sucks, you can plug him into a high-scoring offense (or the Lions) and he'll pretty much match the production of the last guy. I guess that's why kickers usually seem to get replaced due to injury rather than performance.

Exactly. If you had Akers you probably had great kicking points (you probably drafted him too high though ). But then he blows it in the playoffs. At least he didn't cost fantasy players money, just people betting.

This is precisely why I never draft a kicker until the last round. The ONE TIME I drafted one sooner than that (yes, it was Akers), he put up a goose-egg for me in Week 1 and was subsequently waived. Just draft a random K in the final round and then drop him for whoever has the most points the next week. Repeat until you have the best available kicker. Or look for a mid-season injury replacement for one of the current top scorers. This strategy has landed me guys like Shayne Graham this past season, along with Garrett Hartley, Neil Rackers and Robbie Gould when the Saints, Cardinals and Bears had their respective Superbowl seasons.

Hmmm... I guess that means the Pats are SB-bound this year. Not too much of a shocker there.

I thought it was funny when the Colts cut Vanderjagt that one year when he choked in the playoffs and signed Vinatieri

Gotta say I usually do the same thing in FF too. Learned my lesson early on, I think one season I picked up Neil Rackers like you did, he sometimes made the difference for me and in the next draft I picked him up semi-early (think it was 2nd or 3rd to last round?) and he failed to meet expectations

Think it was even before the Cardinals SB season though

And that worked out pretty well for them, didn't it? Hmmm... I wonder when Vinatieri's contract is up. Maybe the Iggles can snag him and give Mr. Chokemeister the boot.

Yea there was a couple of them. I forget their names besides seattle dale. I don't think i've seen him since the loss. Reminds me a lot like New Orleans fans. Never heard from a Saints fan before their recent success. Same with the Jaguars. All those guys haven't been around since they've sucked.

Makes me give those 49er fans credit. Even though they completely suck(and annoying ) they are still real fans.

Believe it or not I tend to draft defenses late too since most of the time they are interchangable. There are always defenses that under/overperform. Sometimes I'll rotate based on matchups

i think there are a few better options possibly available such as Kyle Orton and Kevin Kolb if Philly doesnt give him what he wants

I really don't think Kolb is going anywhere next year. Vick was already at a strip club the other night so it's not like he's staying away from places that could be trouble. I've heard about Orton, Hasselback, Vince Young, Flynn, McNabb, and that's it off the top of my head.
