I found out that Jimmy Raye has been in the league for a loooooooooong time. And yet, he's incredibly out of touch.... when the Yahoo article about the offensive playcalling issues came out, they interviewed him and asked him what he thought about Yahoo's article. He said, "Who's Yahoo? I don't know him. Whoever Yahoo is, maybe he should come call the plays"

Seriously, Smith might just have 6 different offensive coordinators in 7 seasons. I don't think even Peyton Manning could do well under situations like this...

Lets see what happens from here but I think its too little too late.

And this doesn't exactly explain the defense not quite playing up to their potential either.

I wouldnt say the season is down the drain for them but they really need to pick it up. That division is still pretty weak so noones out until the end,

First of only two times this year I will actually be for your team. Hopefully it's still a game in the second half.

Justa random thought, but anyone think Kolb might be going to the Bills sometime soon? Trent Edwards just released.

It would be best for him if he did. He is pretty much done in Philly...unless Vick dies. (in a vicious dog attack.)

There is a God! Wouldn't have had the balls to fire my OC after saying that he would be there to stay for the season, but it was necessary. Like someone mentioned though.... the Chiefs even made our run defense look like a joke. As usual with the 49ers, I'm hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.

Maybe.... but the Bills owner ranks up there as among the worst in the NFL with the likes of Al Davis

Really don't know what the Eagles are gonna do. Vick is playing his ass off, doesn't look like he's gonna let go of the starting job for a while. They might ship Kolb off if they can get what they're looking for, otherwise I see them keeping him to see how it all plays out

Who the hell uses Twitter? So useless, just like Facebook.... I'd never use either of them, or post in the "What are you doing today" thread. Evar.

Sorry, but gotta root for the Packers Rodgers is a Cal product. I remember everyone wanted the 49ers to draft him, but whatever.... hindsight is 20/20. Should be a good game.

F-ck the Bears they suck ass, Rodgers will stomp all over them.

Cutler is my starting FF QB so I need him to put up some stats as I'm trailing my opponent by 20 points but I still hope the Bears lose.

Great game against the Texans. Roy Williams actually looks like he's worth a fraction of his contract.

Who else thought this was like a Southwest commercial? "Wanna get away..." LOL

The only thing preventing this from being a perfect NFL weekend is that the Dikings did not lose. Oh well, Bears won...Packers lost...2 outta 3 is not bad.

We can thank Peppers for scaring your O-line into half of them with false starts and holding penalties.

And Peppers also with the nice FG block.

the holding call before the fg block was bs. every other penalty was all on us. we gave the game to you, but a win is a win.

until next time....

^ Also gave the Bears the fumble that led to Gould's game-winner...?

Also gave the Bears Hester's TD return...?

If anything, the Bears almost gave the game away when they could not yet again convert on 4 and goal at the goal-line.

I thought it was. But, your team also got away with a few holds too on Peppers that were not called...so, win some lose some.

Overall, it was an entertaining, abeit sloppy game...I was impressed with Rodgers' overall. It kinda sickens (and amazes) me how GB can just churn out franchise QBs...two in 18ish years and yet, Chicago has gone through about a bazillion in that time-span.

the other plays were much worse. i think holding should not be called unless the defender is tackled. .02

it was a an entertaining game. rodgers played good, but how much can you do with NO running game? it was rather sickening how gruden kept sucking cutler's dick the whole game.

You kidding? He was sucking Rodgers' just as much...

But, you gotta give Cutler kudos for the beating he takes...it may explain his bone-headed throwing mistakes. Probably one too many hits thanks to that of an O-line they have.

Seriously.... YOU guys are whining about your QBs, your o-lines, and your teams' boneheaded mistakes? You have no idea how funny it is to read what you guys are saying, from a 49ers fan's perspective.

In all seriousness though, it was a close game and quite entertaining to watch. Doesn't matter whose fault it is, Packers owned themselves with the penalties.

and IMO the defender doesn't need to be tackled for it to be holding.... in that case teams should just find the fattest fuck they can, plop him down on the o-line, and make him bear hug everyone who comes at him.... just don't tackle anyone

My point is that holding is called too much and it always seems to be when it counts the most. I've been saying this for years....it can be called on every play. Either don't call it or call it. Ya, it really is that simple.

QB coach Mike Johnson will take over as OC. Hope he does well.

My cable went out around 9:30ish and stayed out until just after ten. I missed the blocked FG and the TD self-destruct.

The Packers special teams play was most entertaining all game. They have a good coaching staff and a solid team, except special teams ends up looking more like special olympics.

The penalties have been a hallmark of theirs since last season. If they want to win the whole thing, they need to get that under control.

Funny how that thread died and ragging on twitter stopped after I pointed out the perspective.

What's up with the Packers running game? Were they behind or just ineffective?

Well, it just stinks for you because your team got called for those a bazillion times...Chicago got caught once with Olin's hold, I recall.

And I suppose that's the difference between your team's 3 sacks on Cutler vs. Chicago's zero on Rodgers...Your O-line are all cheats and hold for dear life.
