I hope we have the QB issued solved for once. Also, I was very impressed with rookie Anthony Dixon's performance during this preseason, sure he has room to improve, but he is a good acquisition to our backfield. It's been a long time but I feel very optimistic about the Niners this season, we should make a pretty good run at taking our division, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Go Niners!! :woot:

Russian6MT 09-05-2010 10:41 AM

Jags traded Reggie "Cant Tackle" Nelson to the Bengals :woot:

I would have been happy with just a cut.

I do also. I regained my faith in Smith, whether its only temporary or not will be determined this upcoming season and in the seasons to come. I feel like he has a good heart at least, taking a huge paycut basically to stay on the team says a lot. And now that he has stability when it comes to his coaches and the supporting members on offense, I feel like for the first time he truly has the chance to shine.

I was wrong for doubting him and wanting to draft Jimmy Clausen.... I hope I stay wrong in that regard for once :wish:

How many W's for the Rams this season?

paz840 09-06-2010 08:40 AM

Darrelle Revis and the Jets agree to a 4-year, $46 million deal ($32M guaranteed)

...and, Matt Leinart is a Texan

4 MAYBE 5. I hope my Chiefs can get at least that too. Would LOVE if they went 8-8.

That's an absolute win for Revis. I'll explain more tomorrow if you're confused.

princelybug 09-06-2010 08:24 PM

No need to explain. I think he got a good deal. :dunno:

Serious question: Do any of you watch football on your computers?

I want to watch some games, but I KNOW for a fact that they won't be televised.

Is there any sites/programs that you use to watch full games live? It can be paid or unpaid.

Wow, you're pretty optimistic, huh? Let's hope Bradford brings some leadership to that team. My family had Rams season tickets my whole life up until they moved to St. Louis, so I'll always have a soft spot for the Lambs, but in the same regard, I like talking shit about them too.

Roger Goodell will come to your house and personally skullf*ck you if you do.

CocheseUGA 09-07-2010 08:04 AM

I did this for a few years, and I was pretty decent at it: predict each and every game at the start of the season, and see how it holds up to actual results. It's much harder than doing it week to week, because of the variables involved. This time, I'm doing both. I had about a 60% success rate with the whole season version, but I haven't done it in a couple of years.

So, my first week picks (spreads are not factored). Since this is the first week, obviously both ways are going to be the same.

Week 1 winners (season and week)
Miami
Baltimore
Cincy
Indy
Tennessee
Denver
San Diego
Dallas
G-men
Detroit (upset special)
Green Bay
Atlanta
New Orleans
Tampa Bay

Yumcha 09-07-2010 09:56 AM

My picks...

Minnesota at New Orleans
Miami at Buffalo
Detroit at Chicago
Oakland at Tennessee
Cincinnati at New England
Carolina at NY Giants
Atlanta at Pittsburgh
Cleveland at Tampa Bay
Denver at Jacksonville
Indianapolis at Houston
Arizona at St. Louis
Green Bay at Philadelphia
San Francisco at Seattle
Dallas at Washington
Baltimore at NY Jets
San Diego at Kansas City

I've already made a couple of changes, so I'll save it until I get the full season done. Gotta hurry up.

NFL network = Gold..

its $2 a month.. plays all games..
even if there are 2 untelevised games.. they'll pick the "popular" game and show the other later on.

of course... the saints are on T.V like 15 out of 16 games a year. but i bought NFL network JUST for that occasion last year.

Yumcha 09-07-2010 11:27 AM

Good to see most of us are in agreement that the Dikings will start Week 2 winless.

Yumcha 09-07-2010 11:51 AM

Titans may be getting back Haynesworth...

Ok. Which package will allow me to watch the game that I choose when I want to? Is it "Game Rewind"?

what you want is NFL Sunday ticket.

don't know how much it cost down there, but i pay $26/month for the 'sports pack' which includes the NFL Sunday ticket, NBA League pass , NHL center ice, MLB extra innings, NCAA basketball & football and Nascar. i watch a lot of sports, so to me it's worth it

I'm actually only interested in paying for football, since the teams I like in hockey, baseball, and basketball are always on tv.

I just dished out for Game Rewind on the NFL Network for the discounted price of $39.99 for this season.
