Duh. He's clearly holding vigil over the unconscious Maple Leaf after yesterday's beating by Boston.

Shannananananban continues to be inept!!....At least he is consistent at being inept.

BRUINS' FERENCE SUSPENDED ONE GAME FOR HIT ON GRABOVSKI

BOSTON -- Boston Bruins defenceman Andrew Ference has received a one-game suspension for an illegal check to the head of Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski.

Ference went unpunished in the first period of Boston's 4-1 playoff win Wednesday night when he hit Grabovski in the head by the boards.

The NHL held a hearing with Ference earlier on Thursday and determined his actions warranted supplementary discipline.

Grabovski finished the game.

Asked about the hit after the game, Boston coach Claude Julien said he hadn't seen it and couldn't comment.

Toronto coach Randy Carlyle said it was part of the "physicality" of the playoffs.

"It's a game that's made to be physical," he said. "You're allowed to hit people.

"To judge if it was offside, a bad hit, or a belligerent hit, that's not for me to judge. That's for people in the league to make those determinations."
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0Aq5kTC2XpY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

So Ference has been suspended before (has a history)....gets one game.

Brown does the exact same thing (never been suspended before)...gets two games.

Ok, Shannnanananban, come clean and show us the monkey that throws that darts on the wall that picks the suspensions for you. Clearly this goes far beyond logic.

Well, here we go...Sid is back tonight against the Isles.

I expect the over/under for the Pens scoring to be at 19. Goodbye, Isles.

...but, NYI is a hungry and dangerous team. I know.

Yep, I knew when he skated with his normal line mates in practice yesterday and worked on the top pp unit that he definitely would be back tonight in front of the home crowd, I officially will have no voice tomorrow

So, Ack...when you finish enjoying the absolute destruction of the Isles tonight, can you please come back and post us your insight on just how "dangerous and hungry" the Isles are?

I'm really curious.

That's not how it works. Here's your complete explanation of NHL supplemental discipline.

GAMETIME!!!

Hope Hank is Hank today.

Paltry Fine

Andrew Ference has been fined the paltry amount allowed in the CBA as a result of his actions on Mikhail Grabovski. In reviewing this play, we also took into consideration that Andrew Ference plays for the Boston Bruins, who are mostly un-suspendable.

I've got no problem with the Ference suspension. I don't think it was intentional or done with the intent to injure, but he caught him in the head and that's a violation.

The Gryba hit though.... that's a different story. This is the first time where Shanny's explanation not only made no sense, but he flat out lied through his teeth. The head was not the principal point of contact, this was a North South hit. All injuries sustained by Eller were either the result of his neck snapping because of the devastating BODY CHECK delivered to him and/or the smashing his face off the ice.

Shanny is being torn up in the press over this one, hopefully this is his last season as Head Puppet of the NHL department of player safety.
