Is the guy on the right laughing or crying in that pick?

Looks like he is crying.

Does he cry often?

Don't take the Islanders lightly. That's a young, hungry team.

Really amusing reading the back and forth in here today.

So, okay...the Wild, with arguably a better line-up on paper (i.e. Koivu, Parise, Suter, Brodin, and etc.) than the Isles, should be absolutely run over by the Hawks. Just because. Minny sucks. Heck, if Chicago takes it into OT, it's failboat. All games should be 12-0 for Chicago.

Meanwhile, the Isles, with JUST Tavares...well, wow...the Pens...with THAT stupidly stacked line-up of Malkin, Iggy, Morrow, Letang, Crosby (when he gets back soon), Neal, and etc...yeah, gotta be *in Waldorf/dom voice* be careful of NY...cuz, well, that DOMINATING Isles team are hungry.

Okay. Got it.

Ahhhh...the hockey thread: Where everyone secretly hopes the other's team fails miserably but just won't come out and say it.

I think you're reading too much into things. I never said a word about Minny, no idea what kind of team that is to be honest.

As for Pittsburgh, I'm actually quietly hoping hey win it all, (if the Leafs can't ) because I'm a Crosby fan. So ya...you're way off base.

Clearly.

I also understand that you may not understand that no other pro sport has more 8th round seeds defeat the top seed and/or give that top seed a run for the money in the opening round.

But, hey...maybe I'm complacent.

Go Nordiques!

Okay fine...not YOU per se...It's really more Waldorf here.

So, I get it. Isles = dangerous; Minny = sucks.

Therefore, Pens are ALLOWED to have close match-ups. Hawks, not so much...all wins must be by a 6+ goal buffer. No OT allowed.

This.

It's always "big" news when an 8th wins, or almost wins a tilt.
This is not anything new.

Plenty of times the underdog is written off, and then said underdog performs beyond expectations. Happens all the time in sports. Every coach knows this, every player knows this.

Dan Bylsma is no dummy, and I'm sure he is preaching to the Pens that they better step it up, and don't take the Isles for granted, because the Brooklyn has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

And Waldorf, maybe...just maybe...you were thinking I was SINGLING out your beloved goalie, Quik Sauce yesterday night and so, had to counterpunch by saying how Chicago stinks for allowing the North Stars to hang around until OT...

BUT, let me say this: It was NOT really about your beloved goalie...but, more my point that even name-brand goalies can failboat in the playoffs. Cool?

Okay.

Now, I promise to avoid "insulting" anymore Kings going forward.

I don't know why Yummy is bent about the Wild playing a very close hard fought game against his Hawks.

^ I'm not. You were the one in the previous page who was OMGing how Minny and Chicago went into OT.

Franky, I was not. I expected a 1-0, 2-1, or 3-2 game. Generally speaking, only the Cansucks give up TDs in the playoffs. Otherwise, all games are close.

Who said the Hawks stink? It's all about how great the Wild did.

You need to ease off a bit. It's only game one of the first round.
Hopefully you have a long way to go.

Well, the Hawks could barely beat a goalie who only played 3 games all year because he was sidelined with MS.

Oh, you get the tongue-in-cheek now?

If ANYTHING, it should be the Pens who are expected to plow through the competition this post-season.

That line-up?

Jokes aside, they are the favorites.

Stop, dom.....you know all GM's want a nobody in net, for they have been proven to win Stanley Cups galore over the years.

It was all part of the Wild North Stars plan!
They want a nobody to match the Hawks nobody.

Hawks only lost 7 games all year and won like 26 in a row or whatever it was. They are now the LeHawks

So was that billion dollars Minny spent in the off season on Parise and Suter worth it? Suter plays 28 minutes a game so I saw quite a bit of him last night but Parise? was he even playing?

Insanity is that Suter played for 40+ minutes yesterday.

Nope.

No pancakes, No Penner.

Now if the guy on the left was holding a stack of pancakes, then I would agree that the guy on the right was Penner.

...but I'm pretty sure the guy on the right is Parise, and the guy on the left is some sort of goon mafioso hit man.
