I hate to say it but some of the best years for me as a hockey fan was the Pens rebuild from 2000 to 2005ish. At the end of every year seeing the kids come up from the AHL and play their hearts out and watch the draft picks mature etc.. See what rentaplayers were traded away for what prospects. Just sayin!!
Chicago went through it, LA went through it etc all good stuff and what must happen in today's NHL. To see what not to do each year see the Toronto Maple Leafs....
