I hate to say it but some of the best years for me as a hockey fan was the Pens rebuild from 2000 to 2005ish. At the end of every year seeing the kids come up from the AHL and play their hearts out and watch the draft picks mature etc.. See what rentaplayers were traded away for what prospects. Just sayin!!

Chicago went through it, LA went through it etc all good stuff and what must happen in today's NHL. To see what not to do each year see the Toronto Maple Leafs....

These Canadian sport networks change their websites, dedicated the entire day on TV and radio to this, bring in every possible person who may know what a puck is to discuss trades and all they have to discuss Phillpe Paradis and a washed up goalie wanting to retire at season's end.
