Either way, it's a one year deal. No need to lose sleep over it. Edmonton isn't even thinking playoffs, the way you are. They have a long way to go before then. Although the blue line has improved, it still sucks. There's no way they can make it to the playoffs with the current line up.

And again, being a side line coach or GM, with absolutely nothing on the line, it's easy to call out what they should do.

Well, I think Calgary will probably contend for a WC spot. Habs should be okay...I like their additions. The Sens are talented and if they can play well with Boucher's system...they could also contend for a WC spot.

Peggers, Oilers, Leaves will improve...but, not make playoffs IMO. So, that would leave the Riots to finish last. I don't see any other team doing as poorly as them? Maybe the Canes?
