Wow, the 3rd period was UFC-esque.

Gotta love goalie fights. I guess Martin is a dead-man according to Gudbranson and the Nucks, huh? We'll see.

Woot... Oilers pulled off another W. This time against Detroit.

Yesterday, a W against the Islanders.

Next up... the Penguins on Tuesday

Impressive. Wins are wins.

Topsy-turvy season though. Did you look at the scoring leaders so far?

Wins are wins. But every game I watch, I seem to be nervous as hell. Still don't feel hugely confident with them. Injuries are starting to pile up. Let's see what happens by the end of November.

You're lucky McJesus' team has 9 players on the IR list right now. As such, I don't think the Oilers will keep up.

and that's big talk, coming from a team that is still currently behind

I'll just leave this here for you (hey, it's likely my last opportunity to be able to do so)

If the Pens are not ready for the Oilers' speed, they are gonna get a hurt real bad on the scoresheet. Otherwise, I expect a very entertaining game.

Hoping to catch parts of it tonight. Unfortunately, with the election coverage tonight, a chunk of my attention will be to my former country and hoping its citizens made the right choice.

I've said it a lot late, but I'm really not holding my breath for tonight's game. The Penguins are still the latest cup Champs with much of the team still intact (if I'm not mistaken).

The Pens who won the cup with their speed? I think they'll be ready

Relative to the lumbering Sharks? Yes. The Pens were not exactly playing the benchmarks for team-speed. That does NOT mean the Pens are slow because they ARE fast...just saying that Sharks are a slower team than Edmonton.

So, speed is relative, right? An RLX with upgraded tires will make a Pagani Zonda that blows the socks off of any other car seem slow, right?

Hawks are "fast". But, if they are playing another very fast team and are not ready for it, they get beat?

Nothing flawed about this logic, right?

And let's be honest... it's McJesus who's the fast one. Even his own team mates can't keep up with him

I have ever a feeling Crosby will be waiting for the opportune moment.. before laying a serious smack down on the [new] kid's ass!

McJesus is definitely fast, he was burning everyone out there, his teammates couldn't keep up on breakaways, and he was beating our d-men clean the whole game. Crosby didn't have as big a game as I expected but he did setup the 1 huge goal. But our depth proved to be too much for the Oils :gheywave: Either way it was a fun game to be at, and fun to see McJesus in person

Fucking oilers... Scored on themselves with under two minutes left

it it would've been nice to get that one point at least, but oh well.

Is that what happened? The Oil lost by pulling a Steve Smith (remember him?)...? OUCH.

I'm impressed they kept up with the Champs.

That they were, McJesus is quite an impressive passer and play-maker.

Reminds me of someone I've been watching for the last 11 years or so
