I have no fucking clue. I don't even want to listen to anything the team does over the off season... because it likely won't be much. Sharelli already said he won't blow up the team. Just getting ourselves ready for another abysmal season, I guess. Maybe this time we'll only be 3 spots out of a playoff position.

I agree that the Preds are better than last year, time will tell. They made it in as an 8th seed last year and peaked when it counted. Will be interesting to see how far they go

I worry about the Pens goaltending and defence. Not worried that they can put up points. They lost some pieces I think were key last year in those two areas. Murry will need to be perfect the entire time.

Agreed, we def lost some defensive depth, not gonna argue that. It was a miracle that we kept the same team together for 2 years in a salary cap era. As Yummy and I know all too well, once you win the cup you lose valuable pieces to your team to free agency. I agree that their defensive depth isn't what it was last year, but they can still outscore just about anyone. Just hope that Murray can stay healthy given the Flyers propensity to always try and run our goalies in the head every time we play them

Back to back in the salary cap era is just amazing. Much respect to the organization for pulling that one off.
If I could pick the Stanley Cup Finals myself I really want to see Vegas vs Penguins or really Fleury vs Murray.

Bruce Boudreau was pissed when Winnipeg scored the GWG. He then subsequently pulled dubnyk out of net with over 2:30 minutes left. For a team that was already being outshot 2-1. No wonder Bruce boudreau never got anywhere in the playoffs, with any team
If he's pissed, what do you think of Philly's coach?

I never expected that out of the Flyers/Pens game. Was hoping for a game like the last one in the regular season that went to overtime. Hopefully Philly decides to show up for a game.

They had no answer for the Pens, they had 4 power plays and not a single shot on goal. The Pens definitely looked more like a playoff team than they had the last few weeks, it was good to see :gheywave:

I watched the first period, it was entertaining. They sure apply the theatrics in Vegas before the start of the game. I was lucky enough to see a game there in person so I knew about it, but they went WAY over the top for the playoffs lol
Well, round 1 is a tie: Marchand shows that he likes to lick other men and Kadri gets tossed for his horrid hit on Wingels.

Flyers showed up and are taking it to the Pens so far tonight. 4-1 with 5 minutes to go...if this holds, Flyers got what they set out to do regardless of the Game 1 blowout -- split.
Nice recovery by Philly.

An upgrade over Dominic Moore and more centre depth won't hurt since Matthews is going to be off for at least a month.
Still too many holes in the lineup to be considered a true contender though, their forwards are skilled but too fucking soft, and their D is downright awful. (29th ranked in shots allowed per game)
