And let's be honest. The Rangers will put the spank on the Oilers on Thursday.

Let's be honest... FB is full of eejits all over the place, for every category imaginable. Don't act like those few Oilers fans are some kind anomaly.

And this is also why I don't use FB. Why are you still using it?

Oilers were solid in the month of October, but I think part of it has to do with at least some luck.

They haven't had a single goal in the last 6 power plays, stemmed across 2 entire games. You can't be a winning team if you can't capitalize on a man advantage like that.

However.. Edmonton did outplay Toronto big time last night. The shot clock was like 46-28, or something. At least they walked away with a point at the end of it. They outplayed Ottawa the previous game also, but once again weren't able to get a single point on net. Sigh...

Well, given the fast start, if they play .500 the rest of the way, or close to that, the season is a huge success and I can finally stop worrying about my second biggest fear (next to Trump being Prez): Oilers getting another lottery pick.

Agreed

I'm not, I comment on the NHL on NBC's posts. When I say that it's a small sample after 6 or 7 games and that the Oilers can't keep up that pace all season, I get crucified by idiots who are already planning the parade...

NHL on NBC is also the same who posted that after 1 game in the NHL, Auston Matthews was on track to score 250 goals this season

Well if he doesn't score 4 goals every night, he is pretty much a waste of time and money. He didn't get a single goal last night. Might as well write him off.

Oh, and McJesus has played 56 career NHL games, but he's an equal scorer to Crosby

Exactly!

Sports fans, in general, seem to be out to lunch with reality. Not all. But many. Anywhere there is a chance for people to post opinions on teams I avoid... except here... AZ seems level headed, for the most part.

To be fair, Kadri made it his goal to stop McDavid in anyway possible. And he did just that. He didn't stop. And he added in 2 goals to put the icing on the cake!

Craig Anderson granted leave of absence from Senators to spend time with wife Nicholle

The Senators’ top goaltender wasn’t on the ice Thursday morning at the Canadian Tire Centre and there’s no timetable for him to come back because he’s with his wife Nicholle, who is undergoing further testing after being diagnosed with cancer last week.

The 35-year-old Anderson, who returned to the team Sunday in Edmonton and recorded two straight wins, will be given as much time as he needs while doctors determine what’s next for Nicholle.

“If we look at our situation now, we don’t know when (Anderson) will be back,” said Boucher before the Senators faced the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night.

That’s why the Senators decided to get Mike Condon in a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins Wednesday and start him against Vancouver . They’re already without goaltender Andrew Hammond, who is sidelined with a groin injury, and didn’t want to put pressure on callup Chris Driedger.

Best wishes to Nicholle and the Anderson family.

Our starting goalie has been with the team 24 hours.

Go Sens.

Ouch...but, it was with Montoya in net. I would suspect if Price was around, the game would've been much closer. From what I read, their recent victory over Vancouver was an illusion because the Habs generally got outplayed.
