Hey you guys, I used to live in MN and have a close friend that works on Acuras there. His name is Dan Swenson and he has a shop called Alexanders Imported Autos, tell him I sent you and he will take care of you. My name is Scott Menzel tell him I sent you for a deal on whatever you need.

Do you think he would do a UR Pulley install for me? Do you have a phone number for the shop?

Hey Matt. This is kinda what i'll be working with.

And with a few mods (except the one im working with will be grey)

Ehh, it will probably stay stock aside from 50% tint, HIDs, and some LEDs. Not gonna screw around with it too much, it is a winter beater after all haha. Late 90s FWD luxy/sporty sedans FTW

Im gonna end up modding this thing, just you watch. I cant go wrong though. Its only a 4k car!!

Razzi, I think you are about 50 years too young to have ever said 'dickens'.

Unless of course, you are talking about Dickens Cider, then it's ok.

Best Performance Radiator Fluid

Hey guys. I just received my new Griffin radiator; check it out here: https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/xlr8-custom-aluminum-radiators-368175/. Since I have to drain my radiator fluid to install it, I want to put in the best radiator fluid for performance (since I got a performance radiator). What do you guys recommend?

Also, my car is still in the shop for another week or so. When I get it back we should have a meet!

My college isnt like 40k a year, its only 12k, so i wont be paying loans for like 20 years

And the cars im looking at are 4k so its not like im taking on another large payment like the G35 was.

Incorrect: radiator fluid

Correct: coolant

Now that we got that covered, there's not really a 'performance' coolant out there. If you are racing your car, then you are restricted from using anything but water a mixed with a product called 'water wetter', traditional anti-freeze is essentially soap and makes a track slipperier than if you had lubed it. Just grab Peak, or use the Honda stuff.

i went barhopping for the first time last night, all i can say. awesome.

it was definitely different than the club environment. most of the people were older than me for one thing, lotta mid and late 20s vs early 20s in the clubs. and almost no asians in sight. which was awesome, cause white girls are so much more outgoing and fun to drink with

onto car related news. i have none

Sorry haven't been on in a while. Thanks. It's on H&R sports still. Ride is a little stiff but waay better than when I bought the car with dead suspension

Do you have tinted rears? I think I saw you one day on Uni. Actually I ended up right behind you before you took a left before the 35E bridge. I'm not sure where all your damage was but it still looked pretty good.

Us CR and Blaine guys should meet up. The Coon Rapids American Legion has a little classic car show every other Tuesday 5-8 PM. This Tuesday 7/21/09 they are having the show so I'll be there around 5:30. They have food too burgers, fries and pop but get there when I do if you want your food in any resonable amount of time as the last time I went with my dad we got there about 6 and waited over 45 minutes for two burgers and fries. The Legion is on the corner of Crooked Lake Blvd and Northdale Blvd. Oh and BTW it is free but if you want to eat it is cash only and about $6-7 for a burger, fries and pop. Hope to see you there.

Phantom - where you from? I actually live within walking distance of the legion. I'm right off 114th (right where the crooked lake library is)

Lusid - I'm horrible with directions. North of main and hanson... that over by the oaks of shannadoah and the recycling center/compost site? I'm guessing so but I'm not sure.

As for getting together - I'm all about it. Even if we all just went up to BW3's some afternoon for some wings or something.

It's nice to have some guys up in the NW area of the cities. Then if we want to get together on a weekend - we can meet up at noon, have some food, and get on with our day without having to set aside an entire afternoon (which a lot of times doesn't work well for me)

So Phantom... I'll see you on Tuesday at the legion then. (silver SSM with the cleared headlights - saw me the last time over at Takata's)

A few years ago they tried to change the name due to the racial slur use of "coon". I think they even tried to do a poll to see what people would want to change the name to I wanted to change it to Isengard, Minas Tirith or Hobbiton granted I was watching a lot of LOTR at the time.
Glow I am behind CR high school. I could walk to the car show too.

Wasn't someone working on that? Or did that fall by the wayside? I'd like to see another big meet planned, but it's also nice that we can just get together with 2-3 people for lunch sometimes too. Makes it a little easier to plan rather than asking 20 people what everyone is doing in 3 monthes.

Nope, D-Day is lookin' to be 7/27. I wanted to enter White Heat into Car Craft Nationals '09 but I sent my headlights and fog lights to Advanced Automotive Concepts for a re-style, unaware that the show was this weekend!

And WTF is up with the show going to 6PM the latest!? Why can't the show hours be like the Back to the 50's car show and go 'til 10PM!!! Now I can't even go to the show cuz I work 'til 6PM everyday this weekend
