yeah, two 8 hour legs (staying at a best western in Dunkirk, NY tomorrow night). Not too worried about the cops/speeding - I set cruise control at 75 and just chilled on the way to Chicago and it was all good so that is the plan going forward. Now I just need a ho to provide road head from here to RI...anyone know a slut?

Yeah, but you would have to drive 5.5 hours south to STL to pick her up. When you were done you could always leave her on the side of the road though, she always seems to find her way home...

No hi-tech for me. I was gonna have Boardley put in in for me probably. I talked to him about it. But - no supercharger for me anyways, so it's not an issue anymore.

Without going back and looking at the post - LS1 or I could probably find someone that would do it for ya. Going to be much cheaper than taking it to a shop - and these guys all do their own work (on Mustangs and Camero/Firebird/Trans-am)

Luke - when is Brian selling his camero? He had mentioned that he was getting rid of it.

I'll have to get my truck all washed up and waxed, and I'll post a couple pics on here. I know it's no Acura - but it gets the job done (and it was an addition, not a trade..lol)

I do have to say 1 thing though - the sound system puts my TL to shame - even with the factory sub in it. Those people at Infinity have something going on.

those IS's were hot for sure, you guys should definitely do a meet together.

Made it to NY in one piece with no tickets , with the one unfortunate incident of my car getting shot with a paintball gun on the highway (honestly...why?) and said paintball leaving a nice dent (pics later).

Jorge you had it closed in the beginning, you popped it like halfway through I think.

Made it to RI OK Chillen with my cats and playin Halo ahora. Going to spend most of the day tomorrow detailing the ack as she needs it badly, inside and out, after that drive and the cats being in the car. I also might try the dry ice technique to remove the paintball ding and others - how do you guys feel about that method?

Friday night I'm with the wife and a couple of her co-workers that we went on the cruise this winter with. I'll post some pics they took when I get them. Got some of me chillin with the sting rays in the Caymen Islands if I remember correctly.

Saturday - got the wedding (which is why I went golfing last weekend - bacholor)

Sunday I hope I'm free. Something tells me though that my pops is going to take advantage of me owning a truck cause he has a 10x16 shed to move.

So other than that - not much. Supposed to be pretty crappy anyhow, so if your thinking meet - maybe want to wait till next weekend?

What is this dry ice method that you speak of? Guess I've never heard of it.

Hmmm.. now you got me thinking if I could use it as paintless dent removal for the wifeys car.

Speaking of (you guys are gonna laugh at me) - while I was helping a buddy of mine move apartments (same building, just up 2 floors), Kelli cleaned my damn garage!! Like she swept it, put away all of my tools, and put most of the stuff from the basement that was in her side of the garage downstairs again.

Then she proceeds to tell me that she wants me to park the ack on her side (smaller garage), and park the truck in my side. I only have the 2 car, so that means that she's parking outside and I get both halves.

I don't know that I could have asked for more - let alone come home to that suprise.

Josh - keep us informed on the ice deal. I'm gonna google it and see if I can figure out what you're talking about.

Yea... you can slap me later. That one was just me being stupid. I even quoted Dan and forgot who posted about the ice in the same thread. In person, it was maybe sorta understandable by my drunkin stretch of the imagination to get your names mixed up. But online - there's no missing.

Everyone have their babies protected from the storms? I might try to get out of here early so I can get home before it hits, and not get stuck in rush hour

I haven't checked, but they are probably still all F'ed up anyways. Unless something has changed recently, the wifey doesn't know a screwdriver from a tire iron. I hardly doubt much is in a place I can find it - but it will be a lot closer when I have to look next time..lol

Maybe she opened all of the drawers and played the match game. "Oh look - there are more of these round things with the square hole on 1 end. Go play with your little buddies"

Oh well. Truck and car --> garage = Good --> I can sort it all out later

Did you already get the dents out? Our Ack's get real good gas mileage on long drives I just realized. I'm pretty sure my mpg doubled on the way to the casino last night.

Save it. The way things are going, you are going to need a loan to fill up the tank by the end of the year.

No shit. Anyone want to buy an '02 dodge?

So what's coming up soon that we can all get together for? After this weekend I'm home free from plans, and I'm itching to do something since the last couple of times I've missed out.

i'm so down on my car it's pissing me off. i probably have to change the front ball joints. either my rear cv joint or ball joint or shock is going out on me. makes this creaky sound when i go over a bump real slow. play GTA and pick up a hooker, get the car shaking and it sounds just like that.

oh and i went out yesterday and my car was leaking mystery liquid. checked all fluids and everything was up to spec. and how can i forget, my temperature gauge is now reading 25 degrees higher than what it should be. said it was 100 yesterday, my ass

been workin like a dog, might not even be able to sign up for summer courses cause of scheduling conflicts

Um, you don't have a CV joint in the back of the car... They are only on the drive shafts. I'm not 100% that you have ball joints back there either.

there are rear ball joints i believe.

So I bought the "As seen on TV" Ding King at an auto shop today and the thing actually works very well. It is time consuming, and does not do real well on anything dime-size or smaller, but good for anything bigger. I am going to try using dry ice on the smaller dings tomorrow and will let you all know how it goes.

umm razzi that mystery liquid sounds alot like the stuff I had dripping off my car that turned out to be me needing a new transmission. So check your tranny fluid, and if that ain't it I gots no clue.

Sorry bro, but you are incorrect. No ball joints anywhere on the back. As I thought, but did not have time to look last night, ball joints are for pieces that have to move up and down and also rotate, i.e. the front tires since they steer the vehicle.

Also, Razzi, what color was the fluid? What did it smell like? Did it have a sweet smell, or kind of a fishy smell? Red, green, black? If you look under the car, where is the drip coming from?

Could it be your blinker fluid? Did you remember to check that?

it was greenish in color, there wasnt a puddle of it so the tint was real light. dripping from near the middle of the engine bay. now that you mention it, it has been shifting kinda sloppily. imma take the car to my cousin's shop tomorrow. if it's tranny fluid imma go cry in a corner now.

and blinker fluid? what the hell is that

Oh snap - better check your blinker fluid then.

And I would also get that green tranny fluid checked out too... lol

Your best bet is to find a dry spot to park on, and crawl underneath. You should be able to do a little sleuthing and figure out where you have the leak.

If you can't figure it out, it may be a good time for the rest of us to give your car an ack attack and figure out why it's being a bitch to you.

Squeaking generally means suspension. The rear end of the car is pretty much plain cut - it's an axle, bearings, and suspension. With a few pieces holding it all together.

Might be time for an unplanned drop?

Green = coolant taste it and it should be VERY sweet.

Tranny fluid is typically red in color unless you never change it, but then again it stinks like a dead fish.

Check your hoses, your thermostat/water pump and your radiator to see if you can find the leak. And dont use one of those stupid stop-leak products, they clog up your radiator.

I doubt it is your teins as they are pretty reliable. creakyness could be bad bushings.

For the temperature gauge, check the sensor - it is behind the grill next to the passenger side headlight on the CL - hanging off of a tube, black rubbery shroud. Might need cleaning.

Someone has more money than they know what to do with. I should send him a note and ask if he would like to donate some to my car fund.

I especially like the dual hood scoops that don't actually scoop to anything.
