I've used Certi-fit to fix a few of my vehicles after accidents (when I was paying).
thanks for the Certi-fit idea but i want a fender that is already painted so i can just put it on. Oh yeah, John's is the only place that i have ever been to...no TL's ever though which sucks. but they have plenty of civics and accords, heh funny.

Hey guys, kind of new to the forums, but I was just wondering when you guys meet up, and just roll or whatever..
either way I am really interested to finally meet some people who know a lot about acuras, and don't just see them as "mommy sedans"..

Welcome aboard! We seem to be meeting up at Takata 18's place a lot lately to work on the cars, but we have also been known to just get together and BBQ in a park and then go for a spirited drive through the Alphabet roads in WI.

Hey! I just looked and I am running in 3rd in the MOWOG Championship, only a few points out of first. If I can get out there and pick up some more speed, I could possibly win this thing!! (it is out of 10 drivers in my class...)

Last weekend we put Thermobloks on Takatas and Nitro's cars and put an intake in Nitro's car, so it was quite the effort. So, yeah, you could say that we know a thing or two about the TL, but by no means are we experts. We are still learning as we go along, but it is fun as we go.

Does that mean that we might actually see you show up for a meet again?

Jorge will have to notify the soccer team that you are coming so they can get themselves ready for the next meet.

Good news, right now I have $1530 in the bank, the wheels I want are are 1470 with shipping and tires. So rims for the Ack are gonna be ordered soon and I also start construction on monday so cash is gonna be rolling into my bank account soon.
Yo Slepybear I'm glad you followed the link we are getting a list goin for people that would like a big meet going. We had one last year at the Buerkle Acura dealership with about 15 people and we are trying to get more people this year so get your name on the list if you want in. Its back a page or so on the thread.

Not to seem helpless, but some quick questions..
1. when is it?
2. does it cost money?
3. do we get to roll like thugs at some point?
4. if i buy some headers and a CAI would you guys help me install it?

And thanks for being welcoming guys, I am really happy I found something like this

1-3 - we are still working on it.

4 - sure, you buy the burgers and brats and we'll get them installed. It just takes an afternoon at the shop (Jorge's) and we're done. Headers will be a new one for us, we've installed just about everything else before.

I might just get a set of Thermobloks to install at the same time...

bleh, remember when i used to say "let's roll 20 deep" and everyone made fun of me

as for the installations, as josh mentioned, food makes the world go round. hell when we installed underst8's shocks/springs, we got nothing but cuts and frostbites and it was still a good day

little bit of wtf, we're now the 7th busiest thread behind only stupid cali and texas threads

On another note, if anyone knows someone looking for a car, my brother is selling his M Coupe for a pretty damn good deal because his girlfriend is having a baby. The car is super nice and is in great shape. He keeps it stored in his heated warehouse for the winter and only really drives it when it is nice out. Here is a link to the CL posting for those of you that know someone that might be interested.

http://stlouis.craigslist.org/car/719856113.html

The car has an inline 3.2L six that churns out 240HP and 236 lb ft of torque. This car gets up and moves!

I propose the 29th at DCTC.

Razzi, have you ever heard of 'razzing' someone? It basically means to give them shit about something. So, by picking a screen name of Razzi, you set yourself up...

my favorite line: "God no, it smells like, like a used diaper... filled with... Indian food"

So I hope I'm not the only one - but what/where the hell is DCTC?

As for a meet - I actually propose another idea. If you guys are - I'm down for two meets. I guess maybe it wouldn't be considered 2 actual meets, but if you guys are down for hanging out on Friday the 27th - it's another Friday Night Destruction, and the special event is the school bus figure 8's.

It's pretty sad - the mods have already carried over to the truck. I'm looking for a good price on getting a Westin Bull bar for the front of it.

Do you gys think the black, or the chrome? My truck is a dark grey - probably some kind of charcoal color.

Black:

Chrome:

My Truck (stock photo):

Here is a photo almost like my truck without the all the goddy chrome, but it has the bull bar installed already. Not sure i like it in this picture:

DCTC= Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount. I almost went there to be a stone Mason. For the bar give me a photo of your truck right now. I want to see how much chrome is already on it.

Just finished up the Novice school, and the front tires on the TL are toast. I mean completely done. The rears are still looking good, but the fronts are completely hosed. It was a good time, I learned a lot and had like the 4th fastest time or something at the time I left. The only problem is that I only improved about 1.5 seconds from the first run of the day, and then I wasn't very consistent at all. I did manage to be about a second faster than each of the instructors that tried out the TL, so that is a good sign.

I picked up a full set of the stock tires off an 05 TL for $40, so I have some tires to mount up that actually have tread on them. I want to try and rotate the tires I have first though because the rears actually look good compared to the fronts. Maybe I will be able to sell my rears when I take them off? Prolly not much more than what I paid for the take-offs.

There actually isn't much chrome except for the front/rear bumpers, the grill (which the top half is covered by a painted bug deflector), and the side steps.

I just don't know if this has enough black on it to be adding black components. Although - I have been looking at these tails...

Can't say I know much about the headers - the 3G headers seem to be a whole different beast ($800 vs $100).

As for the CAI - depends on the money your looking to spend. You can always go with a cheap ebay tube - but make sure you buy a reputable filter. Otherwise I have the K&N typhoon kit and have no complaints. Takata has a Weapons Racing short ram kit (not sure if it's named or not).

From what we have experienced, I think your money is best spent getting a CIA vs a short ram. But each car is it's own - so you'll have to make that decision.

So does that mean you're gonna ditch us all the time still? Or can you hook us all up with some sort of secret blue light special on some craftsman tools?

For the CAI, I have CompTech and I put up higher HP numbers than anyone else, save Glow with his 2004. I even beat out Jorge in his 2004. Realistically all it comes down to is how loud you want it because they all have similar HP gains.

As for the headers, I personally am fond of the DC Sports headers because they are not super-expensive, but they are not uber-cheap either. The SS Autochromes create a resonance that is supposedly annoying, but I dont know anyone that has them so I cannot verify this. The DCs are about $350 and the SS are $100. Most people go with the Autochrome and their justification is that if something goes wrong, they can buy another set an still be ahead, but that does not factor in the time it takes to install them. I would only do the install once if it were me.
