The guy didn't bite on the 'give me your best offer' thing, so I shot him an offer, we'll see if it is meant to be. The wife approved them if I could get them for a certain amount, so if I show up on Saturday with the stockies on, it was no deal.

By the way, the shop is open tomorrow, right?

Make up your mind - and post some pics. We will be the judge of the shittiness around here.

What power did you tap into for the fogs? I'm guessing you're using a constant 12 volt connection. Swap to something switched, or goto radio shack and invest 0.25 in a switch. Can't be riding all gangsta with fogs on 24/7.

lmao.. I just figured this out after reading through the posts again. I was thinking like autocross, street drags, or perhaps some kind of racing car club or something.

I was reading a post (in the RL forum) about a TL that died, and it came to light that the tank was full of diesel instead of gas...

I have found the quote of the day I think...

"I'm hesitant to post this because I don't want to start a flame war, but vincethe1 has repeatedly shown himself to not be the sharpest crayon in the box. I'm not terribly surprised by anything I'm reading here."

Talk about calling someone out.... I laughed my ass off when I read that.

Edit: Oh - and I saw some douchebag today in a civic hatchback with acura emblems on it. Not to mention the black matte spraypaint job too.

Here's a great website you might all (esp. razzi) be interested in. The company is based in MN so you might be able to avoid shipping charges.

I dunno whats wrong with me. I've tried to search and I can't actually locate any TL parts. I find them when searching, then when I click on the part - it brings me to a page that doesn't have the part on it anymore.

Not to mention they show 3 parts on each page, and there are umpteen million pages to sort through.

Bastards. Pam can keep her parts

Edit : Nevermind - I need to click the part name itself, not the "center console" link.

So waddup, where is the meetings at? I read some where a couple pages ago maybe Phalen Lake, then there's Buerkle acura. My TL is still plain ol stock but I would love to get some ideas from you guys about how to really pimp my ride lol....but yeah let me know wassup. Tonight Phalen sounds nice. I wouldnt mind meeting there since I might be down there anyways. Any one down? I will be driving a Black 2nd Gen TL-S stock.

BTW the other day I was coming home from Arbor Lakes in Maple Groove on 94/694 and saw a 2nd Gen Blue TL Type-S going about 80-90mph and I was going to try and catch up but thought about my kid in the back seat so I said forget it but I just wanted to see if that was one of you guys or not. It had tinted windows also and it ended up going 649 instead of 94. I think it was like Wednesday or something.

What up smokin welcome to the club of acura owners in Minnesota. The Blue TL might've been asujosh, he's the only one with a blue TL. Where do you live the you were by Arbor Lakes. My sister lives over there and im always over there.
The Buerkle meet we haven't decided yet, probably mid July is when it will happen.
Also I just PM'd Spiritman about the Buerkle meet to see what's goin on.

A lot of cool peeps up in here and thats why I am just wondering where the meetings are at so we can just kick it. I would hate to make my ride a ricer which I know I probably wont but still just incase lol I would like to get some ideas from you guys since you guys know more about my car than I do.

The meet at lake phalon I believe is an idea for when Dan is back in town later this month, not tonight.

As for the Saturday meet (tomorrow) - I haven't seen that there is an actual meet, but Josh keeps talking about going over to Jorge's place. Not sure if that is turning out to be a meet, or if it will be to oogle over his soon-to-be 18's

Sunday is autocross - see previous post for address.

I've finally run out of money... In the past month I've gotten 3 insurance checks, and the wifey's commission check. I paid all the bills today, and it saddens me to know that I don't have any auxilary checks randomly arriving in the mail any longer. Now I actually have to wait 2 more weeks to get paid again. I cry foul - where is my mortgage relief dub-ya? (since that is where all my money seems to go)

Autocross is a style of racing. Instead of a race of speed - like drag racing, it's a race of control. Basically they find a large parking lot, set up a bunch of cones, and you have to complete the course without mowing them all down.

Consider it like a cone-race in a video game I guess? And it's one driver at a time, so your racing against the clock instead of other drivers.

And yes - DCTC (Dakota County Technical College - Josh told me) is where the next one is at. The previous autox event was at Valleyfair.

Me and Josh are racing in this event called Autocross thats just in a parking lot filled with cones. It was actually in the paper not too long ago. But the rest of the guys that aren't racing are just coming to watch and hang out. And yes thats the address to Dakota County Technical College, where its being held. So your invited to just come watch and hang out and see some sweet cars.

me and my friend who is like some sort of sound and electricity genius(like he just won an award for being the best in minnesota in high school) spliced some wires, and hooked it in through the fuse box.
i need the driving lights, day time, or brights to be on, and then the fogs will come on..
the reason they are always on is because the button is stuck, possibly forever...
and i meant that they look like shit because they are aiming different directions, they look sweet because of everything else..

and some pics..
i haven't sanded down the goop we used to seal them in there, so thats the other reason they look shitty, both of the reasons will be fixed soon enough

Wheels are a no go, the dude decided to pay $300 and ship them to Japan (where they came from) instead of selling them to me. What a dumbass.

Anyway, I am heading over to Jorge's in the afternoon to work on Matt's (another Autocrosser) sweet, sweet, S2000. He needs to put on a new sway bar, and we are going to do it there.

Glow, I have to say, I cracked up when I read your description if Autocross, it is a pretty good one too. To clarify, each cone you hit is worth 2 seconds on your lap time, and there is a championship and event classification. No money, but bragging rights. Right now I am 3rd in my class, but something like 146th in the overall classification. DCTC (Dakota County Technical College) is where the sunday event will be, laps start at 10, and will probably start again at 1, so get there around 12 if you want to be sure to see Blackura and my laps. Also, it would be handy so you could go get us lunch

One of the autocrossers has a bumper sticker or something that says, "drag racing is for fast cars, autcrossing is for fast drivers"

It's pretty fun, you learn your limits, you learn your cars limits, and you get to shred some tires! What could be more fun?

Try using the thing on the front page that says 'search by car' or something like that.

Yup, premium sucks the big one.

Oh yeah and I almost had a heart attack because I thought the CL got stolen tonight. I was chilling outside my buddy's condo having a cig (my car was parked in his lot) when a black, debaged, lowered CL-S flew by. I freaked and immediately ran to see if my car was gone but it was there thank god. Now I have to track that guy down and chill with him!

For the pulley you will have to get someone to do that, we do not have the tools required. Jorge knows a guy that did the pulleys on my car and his for $50 each.

The headers we can totally help you out with, you just have to schedule a time for everyone to meet up at the shop to do the work.

So I reotated the tires, put the new chrome/amber bulbs in, but now I'm looking at the tails.

I have them both off the carand in the garage. I'm kind of pissed because the tail that was leaking has an obvious water line inside the lense. It's about 1/2 inch up the bottom of the light - so it's all cloudy now.

So - I figured I could perhaps "rinse" the light out with some distilled water I have around. That way I can clean the inside of the lights without just depositing more hard water.

Only thing I need to do now is make sure I get all of the water out. There are still a few little droplets inside from when I poured the water out. I'll let it sit out in the sun for a bit and hope that helps. Otherwise maybe I'll bake it? Or just set it on my dehumidifier for the night.

Then - off to home depot to get some sealant. Oh - and it doesn't look like the light itself leaks - it probably was just leaking through the LED seal. I can see where it pinched in a spot that was not original.

So unfortunately, the ack is out of commission for the weekend probably.
