pasta salad? Are women coming or is that for you Josh?

I definitely need to wash my car - birds apparently mistook it for an outhouse this past week

+2 at not getting out of my yard too much. Is there anything near there that I can GPS and then go across the street? I know - I'm a lame ass, but you don't want me to be late do ya?

I'll bring some bocce ball too. We'll have to see what the weather is like, so lets kind of finalize any plans maybe wednesday or thursday.

If you bring one, then women are coming. I was running out of ideas when it came to figuring out what everyone would bring, so I threw that out there. If you want to replace that with steak or some other manly thing, I'm down.

I just found out that Boom Island Park is all pay parking, so I am going to scope out some new places. There are a LOT of spaces on the west bank of the river that we could use and have free parking. I'll get back to you on a location in the next couple of days, but it is going to be on the riverfront, and it is going to have free parking.

there's a buttload of free parks in saint paul. Phalen is real nice, huge lake with grills, those things canopy things to protect from sun, volleyball nets, a swim beach and enormous parking lots

I'm up for anything as long as it is free.

Girls sunning themselves on the grass in front of the river would be a bonus too

I'm guessing you have never been to the riverside park on the westbank then Dan, it's not what I would refer to as 'sunny' and I doubt we would find girls sunning themselves...

But, we should have plenty of room for our cars and such and a nice backdrop too. Across the river is the bluffs that the U is built upon.

I'm still planning on the park south of 94 on the west river road, I'll bring a GPS unit so that I can provide coordinates to everyone.

Those plans for the kegger that were supposedly last Saturday actually were for this upcoming Saturday. I can make it if we get together fairly early, but I was thinking that I would have to bail at like 2 or 3.

Maybe I might miss out on this one

We'll see though - still got time.

Are you talking about Riverside Park, Mississippi Park, or Minnehaha Park? They are all south of 94 on W River Pkwy looking at Google Maps.

Jorge I am going to try and find a kryptonite-tipped, nuclear powered drill to install my pedal set if we can find power there. If I can't acquire said device, you may have to bring your drill and we can go to Ace and I will replace whatever bits break...

I gotz a drill if anyone needs it. Have 2 charged batteries too. It was my present to myself after my break-in at the homestead. Good ol' 18V XRP kit.

Yea - so if anyone is goign to be there earlier, I'm down for meeting them at noon. Or I can meet up at someone's house earlier and we can clean cars or play some vids or whatnot - let me know the plan and I'll be sure to be there.

I keep forgetting, thus, I have to keep reminding myself. Thought I would double check with you all too. Anyone thought more about heading down to raceway park this Friday? I was thinking that we can either roll out there seperately and bring a group - but that idea seemed odd as we park in a field, and there really wouldn't be anyone to represent to. Otherwise we can maybe mapquest a centrally located area and do a park and ride type thing, and carpool (since gas is freakin crazy now).

Let me know - on all mentioned things

It's a racetrack just across the street from valleyfair. It's a circle/figure 8 track. Generally they have all kinds of races, including some nascar points races. This Friday though, is their friday night destruction that has crazy stuff like figure 8 races and such where you're going to see quite a few cars wreck.

I don't know about you guys, but that's the main reason to watch races..lol. Why not just cut out the roundy-round crap and let 'em have it?

I can pretty much guarantee that it's a good time if you're interested in cars / races at all. I love going to the monster trucks, and the races at the fair - so this fits right in.

So....who's in with me?

I think the OZ's all the way. But I heard that because of the oil situation, and that thing that happened somewhere else - that type S rims are only worth like $100 with tires. And if you had to ship them somewhere other than local - that would be a pain in the ass. I'd be willing to help you out though

So you still down for Friday Dan? Or do I have to buy a goldfish to bring with me?

(I forget... is Jerry Mcguire one of the movies that Razzi somehow missed?)

What a crappy day today. Only good thing out of the day (bet I'm the only one that can say this.. probably ever too) is that I picked up 130 CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives from work.

Anyone need a disc drive? lmao. I got sata and ide. (Yes.... I did get to bring them all home, I was not just transporting them for the man)

It looks like I might be able to make it to the big get together on Friday night. I am also available on Saturday night after the BBQ 'cause the wife is going out dancin' with the girls.

So, are we going to take Razzi to Sheiks or what? Or should we start him of slow and go the Deuce?

lol so many thoughts

1st. get the wheels and pass the type-s onto us
2nd. i havent seen a couple of movies. by couple i mean several hundred
3rd. i could use a few dvd rom drives
4th. i'm not into watching girls tease. it's all or nothing
but i am down for just about any meet.

btw, about them subs and amp i mentioned earlier, does anyone know for sure how to work this thing? what wire gauge, hookups and stuff, but most importantly can i adjust the bass remotely?

I am definitely going to try but I can't promise anything with the way work has been going lately. I am going to try and work late tomorrow night and go in early on Friday so I can get my fair share of destruction in. If not, I have a fish you can buy.

Oh, and how fast is the CD write speed on those drives? I have a 52x dedicated CD burner now but it's on the way out.

Backes fight is sick, I wouldn't want to mess this that crazy fucker. Kinda funny it took me watching like 4 vids named Backes fight or something like that to get to the finnish one lol.

Depends on your amp and how you run it. If the amp has a knob to adjust the bass remotely, then you can do it. I know Phoenix Gold has this capability, and some of the Alpine V12s from back in the day, but I would have to look at your amp and subs.

For wire, I would run 4 guage from your battery to the fuse block in the trunk and to the amp. I would connect the line converter to the sub line that is back there and just leave the factory one unplugged. Find a ground (or make one) in the trunk and you are golden.

^^^ What josh said. I know rockford amps have the remote basslink too.

As for the speed - I'm assuming it's the standard 52x burner since it's also a DVD-ROM. These are actually OEM HP burners, so I'm not even sure of the brand. Anyone that wants one, let me know and I can hook you up. Let me know sata or ide though. I've got like 120 sata's, and probably no more than 10 ide - so sata would be preferred if you have both.

So - sounds like here's the weekend schedule:

Friday - going to be heading down to raceway park. Anyone that wants to ride together, let me know. Otherwise we'll just call each other when we get there. Races start at 7:30 - I'd get there early though (6:30-7:00 to be there)

Saturday - Meeting at the secret location at noon, and installing pedals (?). I'll bring the drill if we need and some bits, bocce ball, and maybe some foodstuffs (sounds like not many going - may just go out or grab some subway or something?)

Ken - are you going to tackle the system yourself? I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say your gonna need help by the questions your asking. Let us know if the help will be from us, or your "other friends" lol

That about sum everything up? So who all thinks they might be going on friday and saturday? If there's only gonna be 2 of us on Saturday - we might as well just grab some grub and hang out somewhere. Dunno if I want to go on a picnic with another dude..lol

I say we make Dan bring the chips and leave the pasta salad for his cats.
