They want to make it a kit and sell it.......so I'm thinking an order for my supercharger might be on hold for a couple months
Yes I have Been following this thread for a while now. I think it is great but I also think to drop $10,000 in to your car is insane. For that get a new car.

Been a long time member and just stopping by to say HELLO!

My commute is from Champlin to Maplewood, so if you see a STOCK npb rolling on 10, 694, and 610 + (here's the kicker) Korean. Yep that's me!

My question for Lusid, is? How are you coping with the one lane on hwy 10? I have taken other routes. Good to hear from you again.....

I should rephrase! I travel, 610, hit 10 momentarily then 35, then 694. I avoid the deathly HWY 10 construction!

True, that is a lot of money, but keep in mind that it's R&D money basically. If they get this thing working and sell it as a kit they have a potential to make some serious money! Especially if they can make apply towards the older/newer TLs and the Type-S guys! I think that it might be money well spent.

I understand what you are saying. That only works if you have 10K to drop on a car. Most of us that have these cars do not have that kind of money to blow. If we did we would probably be driving somthing else.

+1 Jorge, if I had an additional $10K to blow on a car, I might have picked up a Cayman S or something instead of the scoobs.

Not to dis on the TL or anything 'cause I really dig them, but putting on a turbo is like pimping out a neon. If that's what you want in the end, why not just put that money into purchasing a better base car?

Totally agree with you and Jorge. Sometimes it's fun to mess with cars though Gotta have something to do in your spare time.....besides wouldn't you be bored buying a car that you can't mess with or make your own? I know I would be

Haha, I'd love to see a car manufacturer produce a car that is perfect in everyone's eyes!! That would be an amazing feat! Somebody always has to have something to complain about though....

alright, we'll do either phalen lake, i was driving around there, really nice smooth roads with some nice twists for 25-35 cruising, especially within a pretty busy area for people to gawk at. got a LOT of parking, volleyball nets, grill, a beach if anyone wants, i dont know why. maybe if you wanna fish too, i dunno.

or that west river thing josh mentioned. i'll look into that.

Weekend of July 10th, or 17th or 24th. like i said, i'd prefer it on a friday but wherever the schedule allows we'll take that date

also, send me an email guys....razzikh@gmail.com so i can add you to my mailing list for mass updates without checking the forums. i wont spam you, just important updates and reminders

There's 'fettling' and then there's adding in 1/3 (or more) of the car's value in aftermarket bits. One makes some sense, the other, none.

Neither make financial sense, but if you want financial sense, don't buy a car.

I am not sure why you would want to make monster power with a TL. You'd need slicks for day to day driving.

From every single TL i have driven, you get massive wheel spin when giving it the grocheries.

Now make the thing 400-450whp and holy shit. You wouldnt be able to drive it.

I have seen RWD G35s with turbos, and they can barelly put the power down. Still lots of wheel spin though. I cant imagine all that being put down to the front wheels. Dont think i'd want to. Would not be driveable.

On another note though, i am leaving monday for california!

Ford figured out how to make the Focus RS handle really well with 305HP and FWD.

If you turbo'd or twin turbo'd a tl, it would be making more than 305hp lol

They only have something like 260-ish at the crank stock, 40HP is a pretty realistic number for a turbo kit, which might put it at 250HP at the wheels, which wouldn't be too terribly bad.

Although, with the TL transmission sucking as it does, I wouldn't want to put that much power through it. Then you'd have to put an LSD on it so that you could actually put it to the ground.

Yeah.....pretty sure I can't argue with any of that. Why can't cars be like houses?!?! Well houses in our previous economic times anyways

Since we have 142 pages of WTFBBQOMG topics, where do you guys get your cars fixed? Do you guys have any private guys that does your car work? Or an independent shop?

Tint recommendations?

Are you talking body shops for fixing a car? As for tint, I'm sticking with Sun Control. We had this discussion a couple weeks back on here and some said they liked Ziebarts, but I had bad experiences with them on my old car and will never go back.

I took my Scoob to Dark Dan's in Owatonna, and yes, the price was worth the drive.
