The Porsche is more than I want to spend, and they want about exactly book value for it, so it's not a deal. Given my affinity for good deals, they are going to have to come WAY down before I am willing to jump on it.

<rant>So, this is something I don't understand about today's society. Anytime anything happens to someone, they set up a fund and expect everyone to bail them out. WTF is that? When did this become 'in vogue' enough that it is advertised on news stations and shit? Since when is it not your responsibility to take care of your damn self and prepare for a 'rainy day'? </rant>

Sorry Janek, I must be in a shitty mood today...

Lol Josh, It was a joke referring to slappys supercharger fund.

I am probably the last person that is going to take a handout.

I wasn't really aiming that at you, and I did get the reference to Slappy's SC fund, but that did trigger it.

on a side note some fucking seniors were driving around throwing water balloons after school today.. i thought it was funny and ok to hit kids walking.. then i was sitting there talking with some friends in my car, windows down and sun roof down.. then they rolled up and hit my car with like 6 or 7 balloons.. inside and out. the interior was soaked(seats, radio, ipod, GPS, cell phone all soaked), and the others also got the outside really good, like they probably dented my door.
i'm livid and don't know what i'm going to do to them.

Like I said to Janek, I wasn't targeting you guys at all, I know that you were joking.

I was more talking about the guy that wrecks his car and then sets up a fund so that people can donate to him and 'help' him get his car fixed when he should have had insurance in the first damn place.

Damn seniors. I remember when I was a highschool freshman, me and some friends were walking home on the last day of school when the seniors were going around doing that. They chucked some water balloons at us and we caught them and threw them back. They stopped and got their super soakers and water buckets out of the trunk and we had to ditch them on foot, pretty fun lol. Crazy. I can see something dangerous happening to those kids if they hit some crazy guy having a bad day.

that would be me.. i was having a bad day, and they hit my car which i had just detailed on sat.. inside and out, which the got both of, ruining it.. they got all the seats in the car. radio, dash.. everything. i ran after them and almost keyed the kids car while he was driving, but good thinking kept me from that..

I forget his real name but Gunnar252? was that you I saw today in Blaine behind me turning onto 65 and then turning onto Cloverleaf? I was hoping you were gonna follow me to my house because when I turned my house was right there.

Anytime I've had someone follow me to my house, an argument ensued about how I drive like an asshole because I passed someone doing 15 in a 45 on the shoulder.

Now... for the rest of the story.

TL is going into the shop tomorrow. My navi just started rebooting itself over and over for the first 20-30 minutes the car is started. Not cool. Plus I think I'm gonna have them check for that mysterious noise I keep hearing when I pull into my garage at work. I keep telling myself it's a heat shield rattling - but my gut tells me it's a bearing. Oh well... rental car for me for a couple days. Hope I get a 4G type-S. Takata - Tell 'em I'm coming

Here's an odd question for you guys since I don't know all your cars that well. Who has the most performance mods (either power or handling) done to their car in MN? Technically I only have three done, but there are two more sitting in the garage and hopefully going on this weekend!

Anyone interested in helping me install my RSB or J-Pipe let me know....probably gonna be Sunday morning. Potential to hear a TL without any exhaust, cause I'll guarantee that I'm gonna start it after taking the old pipe out and before installing the new! The RSB isn't anything exciting like that though

Anyone know a shop that does custom work where I can get my headlight opened to have the housings blacked out? (Can't find any 2G TL A-spec lights for sale) Or if someone knows how to do it maybe it can be it can be a quick project during a future meet and I will provide the food and drink I read it's a 1-2 hour project but I don't trust myself to do it. This would be my last mod to the car.

Sadly, I don't have the room (parking or inside my place) to host a meet. I think I have all the tools except jack stands.....mine don't fit under the car since I dropped it. I have a solid jack, but would prefer putting jack stands under it while I'm doing the work, just to be on the safe side. A friend of mine actually might have access to a lift for me, so the location might be changing anyways. I'll keep you posted.
