I think its sad that when you see the people that are supposed to 'protect and serve' you, you get scared and hope you arent doing anything wrong.

Seems like our society has shifted a bit..
Damn, I plan on going with 35% on the front windows and 20% on the side and rear windows. I have a pretty bright interior, so I think I can get away with a darker tint like this.

I feel the same way around cops; I immediately hit the brakes and turn down the boom boom when I see them and hope they don't get me for anything.

Same here, sometimes I roll down my windows and look like a fool waiting at the light with the cops next to me. I had 35% on my old civic for over 4 years with no problems. My TL I bought last summer and tinted it right away at 30%....no ticket yet either. Just a warning from an unmarked car that pulled me over on 35E from forest lake one late night for doing 90mph in an 80mph. I thought I was the only car on the road that night!

Get that prescription!! I have one from my neurologist. I have been pulled over like at least 5 times, for tint. Never got a tic. Never will! I got "The Scrip"!

I know the speed limit here in Minn. is only 70. Never have I seen 80 mph. Did you mess up in your numbers? I think so......

I dunno, it's 35E going to and coming back from Forest Lake. I don't travel on that road too often but whenever I do 70mph there, everyone is passing me. I'll have to recheck my ticket.

I've traveled that road far too many times to not know that it is 70MPH. I'll guarantee it!

I should probably mention that I had 20% all the way around on my old car without ever being stopped, but it had a light tan interior. I only have 35% on my car now and am thinking it's gonna go darker this summer. I want 5% on the rear windshield and probably going with 20% on all the windows, and a 5% eyebrow across the top of the front windshield.

I'll reckon it is. My ticket was around $250. The guy was trailing me from afar watching me do 80mph most of the way and clocked me doing 90mph for about 5 seconds lol. Then he sped up like a mofo down the freeway and passes me. Thought it was just some guy in a beige v8 impala til the lights started flashing.

How did your neurologist give you a script for it? That seems weird.

I have never heard of this before. You mean if you go to your doctor, he can write a note saying that you need dark tinted windows since your eyes are very sensitive to light?

It would have to be a medical condition such as skin or headaces due to light sencitivity. Ask Spirit he got his throught a neurologist.

lol - get those fancy transitions lenses.... i think that's what they're called.

EDIT - or you could get those really cool plastic shade things for 'em. like the ones you get when your 65 years old & just wear over your prescription glasses.

just say something like the light driving home every night from work gives you migraines, and you've tried sunglasses but they seem distracting or they don't block it the whole time, and you heard tint can be got by prescription, and you want to try it.. i don't know what kind of a doctor would do it, but a neurologist would be about the best

What do you mean the STi is "done"? Did you crash it or something?

From what I understand, he was going straight thru an intersection, and cars next to him were sitting still waiting for an opening to make left turns. A ladyin coming towards him was going to make a left across his lane, but couldnt see past the cars waiting to Josh's left...

A normal person would creep forward and see if its clear, but apparently she just went, right into Josh.

I dont know if the bags went off or not, but it was a hard enough hit that they were feeling a bit achy after so they are at the hospital getting checked out. I should be picking him and Erin up soon. Hopefully the doc says they are A-ok and just sore.

Suprised Josh has been facebookin' it up but hasn't said anything on here yet. So much for his "you'll-never-see-me-on-facebook-ever" attitude...lol

Sounds like everyone is A-OK though. Now the million dollar question is: Since you have driven the Scoob for a couple of months - Is this the car you will be returning to (if it's totalled), or would you try your luck at something else? Probably not totalled.... but somebody's not giving us much info.

That's exactly what happened to me a few years ago, when my hip was shattered & my sciatic nerve was crushed. Was in physical therapy for over a year, learning to walk again. Got hit head on by a lady driving a full size pick up - she turned left in front of me in an intersection - I was going about 50. Good thing it was my winter beater. Hope he's doing alright.
