Looks like the total was $43.08. We can just call it $40 seeing it was pretty good of me to even remember that. I guess when I only go to meets every so often, I tend to remember them.

Speaking of - what are we doing about food? We just gonna send a couple guys to the store once we all get there and decide from there, or are we all going to be in charge of bringing something?

I' all for donating like $5 a head, and just sending someone to the store for what we need. Then, we dont have to worry about bringing food for 40 when 10 show or vice versa. More people = more money = more food.

I vote we pool money once everyone shows up. I don't want to be waiting for Razzi to show up with the charcoal again.

I was thinking you were looking for a real laptop - depending on what specs your looking for, I might be able to get you some old raggedy laptop that runs windows for like $30 - may not support Vista, but if you don't mind windows 2000 I got a deal for you

I need something that can process video input from multiple cameras and also pull in data from the acquisition system. It will need as many USB ports as it can get and a good monitor. It will also have to run XP SP3.

OK... so I guess you are looking for a real laptop..lol I figured it was something along the lines of a "tuner" laptop that only needed to run a java program and do some basic functions. I will check into that and let you know what can be done. If you have anything specific in mind, or want me to compare your price vs my price - let me know the specifics.

Nobody that's on here that I know of. There was 1 other guy from CR, but I can't remember who it was. But the 3G's are pretty scarce in the twin cities as far as people that want to hang out are concerned.

I may ask for a volunteer to help me double check the underside of my car. When I pull into my parking ramp at work, and i am boxed in by a brick wall with window donw - I can hear a rattling noise.

It almost sounds like something could either be dragging (which I'm sure is not the case), maybe I have a loose heatshield somewhere that vibrates a little at idle, or I have a wheel bearing starting to go and I can hear it grinding at low speeds.

But, I haven't really looked into it much, so tomorrow might be a good day to take 5 minutes and check everything out. Maybe I can get a couple guys to crouch down by the wheels while I roll 10 feet or so and see if we can hear the bearings.

Most likely a heat shield. If it was a wheel bearing, you would really hear it when you hit the brakes, like you were grinding two pieces of metal together.

Just pull the cats and you won't have a problem any longer.

I'll think about it.... Hey - anyone think I can get away with debadging a 5 year old car? Since it light colored I think I won't have any problems with ghosting of the letters. Been thinking about doing it for a while. Maybe that will be my Meet Mod (anyone know anything about this? I don't want to just grab a screwdriver and pry them off...lol Hope Jorge has some floss or something)

Oh.. and I lost the bolt that hold my air filter bracket to the car. Well, actually it lost itself with no assistance from me. Hopefully T has a big bucket of bolts or something I can go through. Not sure what size/thread otherwise I'd just check with Ace hardware or something.

I'll bet it was spiritman! His TL is mighty done up if you fellas haven't seen it. I met him a couple years back at the Buerkle meet we had.

That's what I was thinking man! With the exception of an original knick on the car I think mine is pretty much spotless!

By the way, was that you following me after F&F last Friday?

If it was a bright red 08 STi, then that was me. I haven't seen another one in that color in Mpls yet (but I am a weekend driver), and I have been told a few times by people that they haven't seen it in that color yet.

Dude, your clearcoat has a UV filter in it, there shouldn't be very much fade at all from the sun.

Getting off in 10 minutes, and I think the next few hours will be spent getting the hoses ready for summer, and cleaning my mirrors (as well as the rest of the car)

They practically fall off i you use a hair dryer on them for a few min, no prying involved. Floss works very well with a little heat... just grab some on the way up incase Jorge doesnt have any. Mint works best

Yeah, I was parked right next to spiritman and Takata was next to me! I was the guy with the TL Parking only sign, if you remember that?? And the gimpy girlfriend who just had foot surgery.

Plus I need to correct you....Spiritmans car IS the shizzzzz! Not was, unless something happened that I don't know about..........

Glow, I just picked up an HP EEE PC that I found for super-cheap. I should have it for next weekend and will be able to start building my data acquisition system for the Scoob.

Cool - It'll be interesting to see what all a data PC does. Never heard of one.

As for the meet - tomorrow @ noon is correct.

And my car is officially just an "A" now. No Acura TL. BTW - checked the house and all I had was mint. Worked well...lol Didnt even need to use a heat gun, just sawed through everything. I can still see it a little, but I think it's because I havent cleaned my car yet, so I have areas that have never seen dirt before, surrounded by areas that still have salt buildup on them.

See y'all tomorrow.

if i went with the modas, i would paint them black, and maybe do a green line around the edge like the red line they do on a lot of rims.. i might do the green line on either of the rims, but either way they will be black

If your looking for black rims, I would just buy the black rims. No sense in buying a set of brand new rims just to spray paint them. What you might be able to get away with though if it's possible is keeping the Modas the way they are, but anodize the hex bolts green (if they are removable and not cast for looks)

That way you'd save about a hundred bucks, and could tecnically change the accent color for the rims at any given time. Otherwise - again - if your dead set on black, it's well worth the extra hundred bucks to have it factory done, vs. you having to prep the rims, not to mention primer and paint would be more than $140 anyways. If you check around, I'd bet you could find something with the green already in it.

OK.. so yea. You got black, silver/chrome, red and gold. This is the closest I could fine without suggesting you buy some $4500 donk rims.
