Nice looking car Parth...I agree with Lee, the grill on the newer Audi's is sweet looking. Hopefully you'll be able to make it out to a meet soon.

dub.fresh...is that an online forum? I did a search and the only thing that I can find is this

I was kinda surprised to see that kinda stuff about a car forum...of course there are always haters, but who has the time to do all that crap. I personally love Audis, not a huge fan of VWs but they are good cars. I just don't like the body style of most of them. Hopefully I'll get to see your ride at the car show though.

Hey guys.. just a quick tech question..
As most of you have seen I have an 07 TL type-s. I just started noticing a loud "growl" between 1500-2000 RPM and then another loud increase in noise when she hits vtech. On one hand it sounds kinda cool.. but on the other hand it concerns me because I didn't do anything to the car to cause it. Has anyone else ever noticed this? I could understand it if I had a CAI but I don't.. That's what is baffling me.

Had a cool conversation with ya today Parth. It was good seein' you again and takin' a look at your new ride. Ridin' LOW!

But before that I saw 2 3rd gen TL's and their owners. Told them about the site. One was super interested, the other not so enthusiastic but kinda. Hopefully we will have 2 more members on here soon!

Well the one thing that I figured out is the 235's have a more lower profile than 245's or wider. I like the low profile tires better than a thicker one.

Hmmm not sure what it could be, doesnt sound like anything bad though? I say you just get it checked out if it happens all the time at the dealer

But doesn't the 245's make for a better/comfortable ride?

Yeah, the more sidewall, usually the more comfortable the ride.

Yes, Jeff is right also. I just don't like the way it looks on the Legends. This is after comparing pics of both 235's and 245's. It might be different for you though. To each is own.

I agree, less sidewall usually looks better. Well to a certain extent anyway. It all depends on the tire wheel combo. I have to much sidewall for my liking right now, but I got all season tires and wasn't to concerned about it b/c I was hoping to get wheels this year. And if everything works out ok with Evader, that may actually happen.

Man that sucks. Id ask if they can reimburse you at least a little for some of your trouble too.

If you have seen Steve's (OneWickedTypeS)wife's car, you will know what it looks like. It seems to give a more muscular look with more sidewall sticking out from the rim.

That's true, but Steve have the 18x8.5 Aspec wheels. So 245's are good for those. IMO, 235's look better on 18x8 wheels.

How do you wash them? I know it was suggested not to use any wheel cleaner on them. Just plain old soap and water. I do know this guy that painted my stock wheels. Don't know if he does aftermarket wheels though. Give him a call at 553-8765 Davis Detailing.

Yeah, you are right. It is hard to tell what it will look like on one rim compared to another. For me, I prefer the more muscular look but sometimes even one tire company's tires don't fit the same as another ones tires. With a rim that is not as wide, it will probably look the way Steve's does.

It can be hit or miss with that part of the equation too. Maybe you can have them mount one tire on it and let you look at it to make sure that is the look you are looking for. That way you can maybe change your mind before they get all of them done if you don't like the way it looks. Just a thought.

Ok le me know what you guys think. I am gonna get the Private Netz and i am thinking of going with the 40 offset instead of the 30. I know the 30 looks more aggressive but do you guys think that 40 will look that bad or stick out that much? I am going with the 19" and want to do 245 that is why i think that 40 will work better but i have been told that if i do 30 then 235 will do just fine and not rub.
