^Tell me about it. My car is in desperate need of a wash but I don't have time during the week, and it's been raining all weekend. I may give it a quick wash tomorrow even though it's gonna rain again. I just need to get all the dirt off of it.

One nice thing about my job right now, we normally get off early on Fridays. And starting May 1, we should be working summer hours, which will be 8-2. I can't complain about that!

Hey guys.. I need a favor. We need to start getting more flyers out for the Memorial Day Car Show. If you can, just print up 5-10 of the flyers and find local places that will allow you to post them. (work, school, stores, restuarants, dealerships, etc.) We would like to not only maximize the number of hot cars that are being entered, but we also want to increase crowd attendance. Please help us show support for these men and women who risked their lives and fought so hard for our country, but were rewarded with so little. At $4 per visitor / $15 per competitor with food being included, this is one hell of a deal. Please help us support this great cause by helping to spread the word. Also, if you belong to any other car enthusiast forums or clubs, please share the info there as well. You can access the flyer by following the instructions in my signature below. If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Michael

I've told some people at work about it, but I'll print out some flyers and post them at work and see if they will let me post it at the post office on base. I'll put some on cars that have been modded as well, maybe they will want to come too.

Awesome Jeff!!! I really appreciate it.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with the cause, here is a brief video that sums up the sad story of these brave veterans who fought and sacrificed for our freedom and then were denied the benefits which were promised to them.
The video runs 9-10 minutes, if you have the time, watch it.

BTW.. My baby's got her new shoes and she's all laced up!!!
Here are the first pics with the new RJ devotion t3s!

The TPMS is going to be a PITA though.. I thought at first that the warning was just going to show on the dash instument panel.. tonight it kept popping up on the nav screen on my way home. Looks like I am going to have to get those straps afterall and have them installed.

diamond - Is there a reason why you didn't switch the tmps over to your new RJ's? I did this when I bought my RJ wheels and they had no problem removing them from the stock wheels and installing them on the new shoes.

I believe you can might be able disable the tmps warning in the navigation system... I think you just have to go into the diagnostics screen.

COPS are OUT

I got my 4th tint ticket on my accord. I got pulled over in Newport News this morning on 64. I am going to take the front tint off and get lighter tint. Im just so fed up with the police right now. They see a nice car with big rims and dark tinted windows and immediately assume "bad guy." So to VA state troopers.

Since the devotion t3's are 3 piece wheels the TPMS sensors can't be directly transferred and installed the same way. You need to get "straps" which then have to be modified to fit properly. If I can disable the warnings on the nav screen it won't be a big deal, but if I can't, I will have to go with the straps.

Doh! to me. I didn't realize they were 3 piece. Lemme go out and check to see if you can actually disable the tmps system and i'll let you know

ok so you can't actually disable the tmps system through the navi diagnostics menu.. you can only change the automatic calibration settings. don't think this will help you but you can give it a try if you want. Just hold down Menu/Guide + Info + Cancel all at once and you will enter the diag screen.

If you really want the easiest solution just remove the TMPS fuse and this will disable all the navi warnings/pop ups but you'll still be stuck with the tmps warning in the dash.

I went with the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions 235/35/19. They had some great reviews and so far they have performed great. I got them through Firestone in Kemps River shopping center. BTW.. ballin' is right.. I think the netz are hotter than the privat reserves.

Evader.. thanks for looking into the TPMS for me. I am going to try pulling the fuse and see how that goes.

Ballin, what size did you have? I am thinking i should go with 19" since i think the lip on 18" will make them look smaller.

I'm going to be selling my RJ's in the next month. They are 18's Satin Silver Inspyres wrapped in Falken rubber. I actually have 5 wheels and tires. There is some curbage and I'm not good at estimating tread wear etc. but I will post some pictures in the next few days. It would be great to sell them to someone in the virginia beach area and I would be happy to bring my jack and help with the swap. I'm not looking to really make a profit off them just want to help out a fellow TLer in the Hampton Roads area. I'm pick up a set of 19's from another member and just don't have the room to store these. I love the RJ's so much that i've decided to go with the the same wheel but moving up 19" and with the Liquid Graphite finish. I'm thinking $600 for all 5 wheels and tires as the starting price but if you want to make an offer then let me know.

Mods - Since i'm not going to sell these for another month bc i'm waiting for the other az members wheels to come in. Please don't remove this post. I just want to get a feeler for anyone interested in the local area.

Again, I'll get some pictures up soon!

I had 19x8 all around. If I were to do it all over again I would go with 19x8 +30 front with 235/35 and 19x9.5 rear with 245/35. If you don't want staggered, 19x8 +30 235/35 will be perfect. 18's wouldnt look bad but they'd def be more practical and less likely to bend from potholes and such.

Hell yeah I'm interested. Let me know when you're ready and I'll take a look at them and see if that's what I am looking for.

Yeah i think i would go with the 19x8 all around. Need to see what +30 looks like to see if i like that or not.
I think i have narrowed down my choices between the Nets,HP Evo and TSW Snettertons.
Ballin, where did you get your Netz from if i ma ask?
