Count me in. BTW, found out yesterday from some inside sources that Bass Pro has 2 shows on Saturdays. the second one starts around 1030 ish after the others have gone home. Perfect for me as I work till about 1030 - 11 ish every saturday night, if there is interest in that. Otherwise Sundays is best.

Wish I would have seen the ad up top sooner, but I had to work all day Saturday anyway.

I can call the 2 Badazz TL's about it too if we can get together.

 

Cool, this weekend I am at a FAM Reunion so anytime after is cool...Hell, we can meet up and grab some food or something!

 

Damn! I wish I knew about that Kings Daughters Car Show. I would have gone to it...I'm actually talking on this forum today because of them. It would have been great to see some gorgeous cars and help out a great cause at the same time.

 

When do we want to meet up? What time? Just let me know. If it is easier, I can PM my cell #. It would be cool to have like 6-8 TL's show up at Bass Pro if that is what you are talking about, especially if we can show at the same time. From what I heard, the cops in Hampton don't chase us off unless you are horsing around too much.

 

Sounds good to me...someone make a date after working hours or something on the weekend and lets do it.

 

Shall we do it say this Saturday, July 14, or next Sat., July 21, at the Bass Pro Shop in Hampton at about 11:00 p.m.? Is that too late? As I stated before, I get off from the pizza shop at about 10-1030.

BTW, they are calling for rain on Saturday. We will have to keep an eye on it. I am quite sure noone else will be there if it is raining.

I don't think I will be going but just thought that I would share it. It is not Acura specific, but set up by jayunsplanet and his club.

I will keep you all posted about that meet spot at Basss Pro. I checked it out real late Saturday night (about 1:00 a.m.) just to see if there was anyone there and all that was left was a group of mustangs with their owners. It seems to me that there will probably be more cars there earlier in the evening like at 1030 as I said before. I will be talking to my aquaintances about it some more just to make sure.

BTW, there is a club next door as well called Saddle Ridge. It may be country oriented going by the name (I have heard it advertised on the radio but it has been a while) and also McFaddens next to that so we will have something else to do as well if you all care to. Joe's Crab Shack is there also as well as another restaurant, all still open I think. It is a very happening spot as there were about 300 cars in the parking lots (the owners were at McFaddens and Saddle Ridge I assume).

Damn...been a while since I checked this thread. Any news on this yet? I'm up for getting together as long as things are going well with school. This semester has been a royal PITA (yes, I go year round). Hopefully next one won't be so bad.

 

All I know is Malicious linked this show to this thread so I imagine that he is interested in it but I have no idea who else is. Maybe Navy TL is because he wants to get together also. Were you thinking about entering this or just showing up to look at the other entries? Let me know by phone or on here. Obviously I would only be able to make it on Sunday since I work on Saturdays.

 

Went to the car show at the Bass shop last night. Didnt stay too long but had some nice turner cars there.

I showed up around 1030, was on my ways home from a Tides game.

I have a little more inside info on these "meets" at Bass Pro. They are not always there. Sometimes they are at the Wal-Mart on 17, sometimes at Home Depot in Newport News. I did not know that it would be at Bass Pro from my source until about Friday, maybe Saturday. He told me that they don't say the place until about that time every weekend.

Why that is I don't know but that is what he told me. I know that someone else told me that since the Hampton police do not mess with anyone, it usually takes place at Bass Pro. I am telling you (everyone in Hampton Roads) this because if we want to get together impromptu like this, we may not know until the day before where it is happening.

All my sources are local tuner guys that I know who like to hang out there, so they are pretty reliable. Maybe soon we local AZ'ers can get together at one of these with a little more participation. We just don't have enough people on here that check this thread enough I guess.

If we do get enough interest to get a bunch of us together at one of these, it may be easier if we do it by phone contact to give the place, as it isn't given in a timely manner. Just an idea.

Even if we just want to get together by ourselves, we need to put the word out somehow for everyone to keep checking this thread.

 

Well the number of views for this thread keep going up so somebody must be reading it haha.
And i agree we do need to come up with a way to keep in touch with each other. Even if we get 5 or so cars together i think we can still have a good time hanging out.

 

I do have the phone numbers to 2 others from AZ so maybe if it is even impromptu we can still get a nice turnout. That is if I am still here. I am running low on time and money. Still looking for a job. May have to go overseas with a civilian contractor real soon so that I can pay the bills. Looking like my only choice. I will be back in a year or so if I have to.

 

Hey, i'm down to meet up again. Just got back behind the wheel after an operation to repair a couple of quad tendons in my right leg. So, let me know.

 

I will try to keep you posted if I hear anything about Bass pro or otherwise again. Check back tomorrow night if interested.
