Me too. I try to catch up to them but the traffic is usually too much. I try to talk at redlights if I can. We need to at least come up with some kind of flier. I have been working on what to say in my head but did not put it on paper yet. That way I can at least put it on an Acura parked some where. Just trying to make sure it appeals to all Acura owners whether they like to mod or not.

 

I will bring my camera. I am not the best photographer but I can take them.

nope and i just went over the extended warrenty but i talked my local dealer here and he saidtehy may work with me if i tal ot teh district manager. and my boy kenny in the parts depo hasnt steered my wrong yet. i will have a final verdict monday

 

well here is some good news to post. i just got of the phone with my boy down there at my only local acura dealer and he quoted me with 300 off the total for $2,405.83 and i should be fixed by thursday. i got my loan approved through one of my bank's(USAA) for 2500 and im gonna talk to the service manger and c if they can help me out anymore. but ya i think i will be able to make it to the meet and to c my family for the holidays

 

Glad to hear that you should be able to make it for that weekend but sorry to hear that you have to shell out some bucks to get it done. With cars, it is all about money to keep em going. Just like women, can't live w/ 'em, can't live w/o 'em, and if you are going to keep 'em, more money, more money. Check to see if they can give you some kind of warranty with it.

Jeff, I was actually thinking about doing it on this side somewhere, then taking a cruise on the Colonial Parkway. I have been trying to think of some way to draw more interest this way by doing some kind of cruise. I want to drive it first though because I don't know how long it is, don't know the speed limits and I don't know how well patrolled it is by the cops. No chance I don't think of the kind of spirited driving they like to do on the Skyline Drive but it is more than just a meet. Not that yours was bad but it gives them more to look forward to.

There is plenty of meet spots over here as well that are not far from the interstate exits. There is the Newport News Park (can you say BBQ [I have to see about any fees]), the Patrick Henry mall, the Shopping center across from the mall where Best Buy is, & the Jefferson Commons shopping center. We even have the Kiln Creek Shopping Center on Victory Blvd. All of the shopping centers have restaurants of course so that we could have one real big lunch if that is what everyone wants to do (don't need any grills or picnic areas for that). Everything is easy to find and not far apart, unlike up in Manassas. 15-20 minutes and you are at the Colonial Parkway.

BTW, the DC area guys want to move their meet to the spring. I looked at that thread shortly after they had their meet at the end of Oct., and there is some interest in moving it. We may have to work around that, maybe push ours later a little bit. I will be thinking hard about it through the winter.
