Sounds good, I just got a call that I my headers will be getting shipped back to me today. I just got them ceramic coated by Moore Power and it only cost $120 and they had it done in 4 days. Not bad and way cheaper than Jet-Hot. We'll see the quality when the come back. I'm not expecting much power from it but it should keep the engine bay a little cooler, and they'll look a lot better. I'll be having my timing belt and water pump done over Labor Day weekend while I am up in CT. So maybe the weekend after Labor Day if everyone wants to get together I can see if I can keep up with you. I'd be surprised if I can to be honest, but it's worth a shot. Is yours a MT or AT?

I am supposed to be leaving around the 16th of Sep. but I am still trying to find something here. I have some phone calls to make to the other jobs.

Yeah, it is unaccompanied. I will probably be living in a 8-10 man tent, at least for a time until a smaller room becomes available.

Concerning a meet, at least for us locals, I think that we should do what Navy TL mentioned. meet up at a resteraunt, maybe some drinks.

 

I'll be back in town next friday if anyone is interested in getting together. I'm hoping to get some nice shots of my ride near the oceanfront. I know it's prolly a bad weekend because of the holiday but if anyone is up for a quick meet and greet or whatever let me know

I did not try to find out anything for tonight because I know that NOPI is this weekend and figured a lot of the regulars would be there. I know of one car club that is there for sure and the other point of contact I have, his club I don't think is going out to the hot spots any more, at least not right now.

I will definitely try to find out some info early for next weekend. There has been a few people on AZ that said they will be in town or at least available to do something then. I will give you a call as soon as I hear something.

 

i seen a car club at mount trashmore gathering up. i didnt stop though to see what was going on. also i went out to that seven scion car show and bass off at the convention center in the beach yesterday and nothing was going on there. no tl but everything else. there is a car/ truck show on sept 1 at the knuckleheads on witchduck road, and another bass off/ carshow at circuit city in janaf on the 29th of sept. thats all i heard about lately.

 

So lets get together and hang. Seems like we have afew that want to do something but we just cant get anything together haha.

 

i am avail until next tues. except sunday, i just think we should get together somewhere this weekend either at a restaurant or at one of the car get togethers, going to the car get together can also give us some ideas for mods that no one has thought of yet. just my 2 cents

the bass pro one last night was pretty nice, some nice old school muscle cars, and older, i swear some of those cars had open exhaust systems. i got there around 8:30 and left around 9:45, the next time i will be able to go to a get together wont be until late october.

Hey guys, I am going to try to set up a meet for us locals next Sunday. Let me know if you are interested. Every Sunday on Route 17 in York County, at the Heritage Square Shopping Center, a bunch of older muscle cars gather. All I am going to try to do is find a decent restaurant for us to eat at there, or close by, then we can also check out the cars. This will be for Sunday, Sep. 16th. I will let you know what time in my next post.

I think I'll be around for the CHKD car show, but I won't enter my car I don't think. I wouldn't mind cruising up there and checking it out though. I think we really need to do some searching and find all the people in the Hampton Roads area and get a list together. I wanted to do that at the last meet that we had, but I forgot all about it.
As for the AZ sticker, you're probably better off getting them made somewhere for yourself. I've seen a couple people post saying you're not allowed to do that b/c they sell them on the site, but as you can see from this link,( https://acurazine.com/gear/ ) not much of anything has been sold on the site for quite sometime.

 

BTW, I'm up for something this weekend. I am probably going to go Dyno my car since I finally put my headers on last weekend after having them ceramic coated. The place is having a dyno day, $60 gets 3 pullls with A/F, cash only though. What say you all meet up at Bass Pro like about 8 or 9 pm this Saturday, then when I get off of work, I will join you and we can hang out at McFaddens or the club next door or something. Any suggestions on this? Maybe "ACURAZINE" or "AZ" on a piece of paper on the dash? And when you say "attract others to the movement", do you mean getting others to join the website? Or just telling everyone already on AZ in the local area to come on out?


Does everyone want to come out to Bass Pro Sat. night? Then go to the club or McFaddens? Or a restaurant?

 

I think we can do both, let everyone on AZ know we are trying to organize something, but also get more Acura owners in the area to join. I've seen quite few around so I think we can get more people to show.

I'll have to find out about Sat night. There doesn't seem to be much interest, although I would rather do that than what my gf has been talking about doing. Apparently we may go to Red Star in Town Center to meet up with some friends. We'll see I guess.

Ok Pearl. Did you get the message about putting either AZ or Acurazine on a piece of paper and putting it on the dash? If you know anyone not a member of AZ but they have an Acura, tell them to come on out as well.

BTW, I got in contact with 2 other local AZer's that did not know about this link. They will be there tonight as well. Look for a white 07 TL-S and a grey 2000 TL. And possibly another friend of mine who has a 04 TL.

 

The only thing with the piece of paper is that where would you place it and who would see it? Anyone know why they stopped doing the stickers for the windows? I think those stickers on the side windows will be more visible.

 

Hey guys, I won't be able to make it out again tonight. Maybe if we can get something going like a week in advance I might be able to make it out. I've been pretty lately, but I'd really like to be able to make it out. I did go dyno my car this morning. Decent turnout, but I was the only import. I pulled 241.8 HP. Not bad, I was hoping to make over 240, and pulled that off by the skin of my teeth. If anyone is interested, I am sure the owner would do a dyno day for us. We would just have to make it worth while.

 

Was this the first time you dyno'ed the car? If not what did you pull before?
