I might consider coming down for this. I'll be taking the wife and daughter to bush gardens for halloween and this would make for a fun event too. My four year old daughter will appreciate some of the nice cars too. (more so than the wife will for sure) I probably won't have time to give her a good wash/wax but I might still be able to make it to represent the TL family. I was a patient at CHKD since I was born so I'm def in for paying it forward. Hope to see some of the board members there

 

I've dynoed a few times. Before I got my headers coated, I was at 237 whp. So I doubt the coating did anything for performance, but I did it mostly for looks. Now I am contemplating a VAFC. I don't know if it's worth it or not.

Sounds good...I'll see if I can get in here to post more frequently. Anyone getting together in the next couple weeks? We should try to plan something a 3 or 4 weeks out so we can get some people together and hang out.

Not sure about which days yet. Probably just the day of the car show, depending also on the job situation and what days I am working, what shift I work, etc. I would like to go all three days, but we will see. Would not mind doing the cruise also. I have a job interview on the 10th of October with Northrup Grumman Shipyard here in Bad News. I hope they give me some good news.

Yea, I'd probably just go the day of the car show as well. The cruise would be nice but we'll see when it gets closer.

Anybody planning on attending the Mid Atlantic Mega Meet or the Skyline Dr. meet?

 

I will def. not be making either one. If I remember right, they are both on Saturday and I will be working. Can't afford to take any time off from work right now.

 

I have not been up here in awhile. Where are these car shows?

 

The Mid Atlantic Mega Meet is tomorrow, not sure where though. But the Skyline Dr meet in on Sunday, Oct 28th. Skyline Dr is the road that runs through Shenandoah (sp?) Valley. I helped organize and went to the one last year and it was a blast but it was a lot of driving. I would like to go again this year but I may have a party to go to Saturday night and wouldn't be up for the drive on Sunday. If I don't have a party, I may end up going up there Saturday night with my girl and staying the night.

I would like to see as many TL's out there as possible from AZ, just to represent. If someone wins, all the better. This thing is big. Massive amount of cars. They also have a cruise but I doubt I will make that. May soon be working a new job and don't know what schedule I will have yet.

Anyone up for getting together on Oct 13th? I'll have the day to myself since my girl is going shopping with some of her friends...so i figured if some people wanted to get together, that would be cool. I'd even be cool if people wanted to meet up at my place and chill, maybe BBQ (weather permitting of course). I am pretty sure her plans are set in stone, so let me know what you guys think. By the way, I live in the Kempsville Area off Centerville Tpke.

 

Sounds good. Maybe breakfast somewhere as this starts at 9 and goes to 4. I live close to the park (about 15 minutes away) and will try to think of a place not too far away. IHOP, Waffle House, etc if that is good for you guys. Have to find out also what the latest time is for arriving at the show (I will be registering prior to that day).

 

Yes, I can do that. It has to be early cuz of work. I usually start at 4. Unless my interview goes well at the shipyard and they have me working early that day. I'll keep you posted.

 

BTW, when I registered for the VA Fall Classic Car Show, I did put Acurazine as the name of the car club if you want to do the same. If you are not sure what car show I am talking about, look up higher on this page.

Also, I'd like to make it to the VA Fall Classic but as I mentioned, I may have something going on that weekend. I just realized that is the same weekend as the Skyline Dr Mega Meet. I'd rather go to this than the Skyline Dr meet just because it's to far of a drive for one day.

 

I really need to place these events on my wall calendar because I am bad with remembering. I drove up to Jersey on the spur of the moment Saturday. I know next weekend, I am going to see my babies in SC. So, I should be free to do whatever after that.

http://www.vafallclassic.org/ Closer, and a lot less driving too. Only $20 bucks to enter, and you can do it online. You will spend more than that in gas just going to the meet, then the skyline drive, then back home, let alone if you spend the night up there.

BTW, you can go to the show AND the meet as the show is Saturday and the meet is Sunday.

Just a side note about the fall classic. If we have enough of us going to the car show, I want to get us all together and go to breakfast first before going. Perfect time for a photo op.

As far as I know, you can wait to register until the day you come if you want. Not sure though. I don't see a cutoff but if you wait till the day of, it will probably be more. $20.00 to pre-register.

BTW, they are expecting about 650 cars for this. There have been up to 500 cars in the past. Probably THE biggest car show event in Hampton Roads.

If we all go to breakfast together, we can arrive at the park together and then have a better chance of parking together.
