Sorry guys, just got back from a date. Eric call me when you decide to drop by DTP. I will roll out there with you. Just to see what's up.

Jeff made a good point about the dynos. I will probably run over to Keenan's soon to see what I'm pulling now. I might as well wait until after my next oil change.

tl2slow - are you still in town? If so let's meet up with Eric to see what you're talking about with your car. Sorry to hear about that. Maybe another shop can straighten everything out. You got so much invested, it would be a shame to let it go now. Besides I want to know how your clutch is doing.

lol! Us single guys got to do that every now and again.

5%?! Hell no I wouldn't dyno! Your engine is not at 100%. I never go below 40%. I'm at 60% right now and almost changed it before the dyno.

Welcome...
There are some members in the area that know of quite a few good shops. I can't really help, i try to do most of the work myself, but I am sure some of the other members will chime in when the check this thread. Keep your eyes open for meets and check this thread frequently. We try to do local meets every once in a while.

Thanks man, may not do any meets until I acctually get the car, (which has to wait til uncle sam gives me my 8g's for buying a house. So next spring it's on. I would actually love to do most if not all the work myself, but have no clue. Maybe when i get the care i can meet up with some of the locals for TL Building 101!!

Welcome aboard the AZ VA train!!! lol! I know a couple of good shops; also let me know of any advice on DIY performance upgrades.

Good luck in finding a MT around here. I've seen a few on autotrader, but out of the area about a few hours. Very rare! But I don't blame you for holding out. They are well worth the wait IMO!

Adrian- I changed my oil today haha MY first on this car since I bought it 4 years ago. My neighbor gave me some ramps and I was all excited to do it myself. Then I ran into the lowered car big ramp issue.

Now 8 years ago it wouldnt have been a issue with my integra that car was so light I just put bricks down and rolled on the bricks and then the ramp. Now the TL significantly heavier car I was a bit nervous. I sat there and thought about it for 10 mins no lie and then the sun came out and i said fuck it.

Well no probs at all the baby went up easy and I may have gotten a slight scuff on the bottom bumper but I thought o well Im going to put a lip eventually. Only issue was my tires were .5 inches too big but i didnt scrape my rims.

So im ready for dyno now

Mike- When I passed you the other day I realized that you still have my glasses :duh: You can see how dependent i am on those things. Im off this weekend so If its cool or your home id like to swing by.

Just an FYI, I talked to Frank at DTP and he said that the Dyno he has has a correction factor that produces Dyno Jet like numbers. He had a mustang pull 300 on his dyno and 301 on a dynajet the next day.

Yo..do you (or anyone else in the va area) have any problems with having the test pipe for inspections. Do they pay attention to that?

You're braver than I am. I'm too scared to mess up my body kit. I'm going to need it soon though; I'm at 50% now.

Ain't that a bitch! Wish we know that sooner or I would have been there. Oh well, if he available this weekend or next? If you guys are down, we can try again.

BTW, Jeff I saw your wife driving your car. I thought she would want the newer vehicle.

I don't have that problem with the place I go to in Norfolk. They only check for safety items. pm me if you need the info.

Once in a while we switch cars if there is something I need her car for or if I'm gonna wash it. BTW, my car should be easily spotted now, I changed my license plate to SNWMAN...they are Texas plates though. Not sure if I really like the plate. It looks really plain to me, maybe next year I'll switch to VA.

As for the Dyno, I'll see what they have available. I don't mind goind to Keenan's place, but we will be waiting quite a while it seems. I don't know when the next time they are going to do a Dyno Day is going to be, but I'll email DTP and ask and let you guys know.

^^Alright we'll let it slide this time.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend any event the end of May, beginning of June. We're getting married on May 23rd and our honeymoon to the Bahamas is the first week in June. Hope you guys have fun though...and take lots of pics. Who knows, maybe I can stop by the Memorial Day Car show if I get permission.

What kind of suspension you're getting? I got the top hat that Tein coilovers offered.
