SLOC Signal Line Output Converter. Not all Bose is the same, some have the amp per speakers, and some don't. When It comes down to it, if you don't know what you are doing, take it to an Audio shop, it's not the first time that they have done a Bose setup!

 

Is that 5500 with all of your amps or just one amp, if one amp...what brand amp, is that continous or peak. Is that bridged or normal. If it is bridged what ohm load. What is the RMS rating of the amp and @ what Voltage. What kinda power supply are you running in your car! Just Curious!

That's B.Coop's setup not mine. I'm not much into installing systems anymore. I used to do it as a hobby when i was younger, but I've kinda gotten tired of having no trunk space. And I can hear the music perfectly fine, no need to have it turned up to hear it down the street.

 

I agree. In my old car I had 3 tv's, killer system, dreamcast, other stuff and went through 3 alternators. In my accord I just have a 1600 watt audiobahn amp and 2 12" audiobahn subs with a 1.2 farrad cap. I also have a kill switch just in case i dont want any bass and a bass remote to the amp. Getting too old for this stuff BUT I do crank it up when i need to or want to hear and feel my music. But gotta love that extra thump in your trunk. They can hear me before they see me.

hopefully i will be able ot do the same here soon with a system. i have a indash touch and navi from pioneer( alot of yall already know that). im bout ot get a alpine type s 10", alpine 4 channel for teh doors and a mono-block for the woffer. in the system i had b4 i was blowin doors off people who had 3 times the power of mine but i had it set up with some help so

 

I thought the CL and TL's came with HID's stock? Your lights might be pointing up but they should be blinding people. I have some on my accord and dont get anybody flashing but my driver side HID keeps going out when it gets really cold like today. I gotta look at it.

 

THEY DO COME STOCK...THE PROBLEM IS THEY R NOT AS BRIGHT...THEY WILL TURN YELLOW-ISH AFTER A WHILE AND THEY REALLY DONT LIGHT UP THE ROAD...THE ONES HAVE NOW R A HIGHER TEMP SO THEY LIGHT UP THE WHOLE ROAD WITH A BLUE LIGHT....THEY R REAL BRIGHT THAT'S Y PPL FLASH ME....I CAN TELL DER NOT HIGH CUZ WEN MY HIGH BEAMS R ON U CAN TELL DA DIFF....I MADE SURE THEY DONT BLIND PPL CUZ I WAS RIDING BEHIND MY BOY AND PUT OUR CARS FACING EACH OTHA & HE SED IT LOOKS NORMAL

I have an update to give for my occupation, per the question a few months back about what we all do. No more pizza delivery.

I now have a new job as a Facility Worker (basically a general laborer) for a company called Kinder Morgan. They store and transfer coal and cement, located along I-664 close to the Monitor Merrimac.

HAHA, talking about these sound systems...not to be ragging on anyone, but I remember when I was installing sound and pulling up to the lights drowning everyone out with the bass. I thought that It was so funny, I use to love to piss people off and watch them look around as if it was an earthquake.
Now that I am older I find myself pulling up to the lights cutting the music down and then cranking it when I pull away. Or even in my complex, it is pretty much off when I pull in! HAHA, how things change when you get older. Next thing you know I am going to be wear stupid looking outfits and socks up to my knees with penny loafers.

 

lol penny loafers, somethin im not gonna be looiing forward to in the coming years btu i know i have soometime before then lol. im not old or anythin but i have deffinalty grown out of teh loud bass at lights and now am into more sound quaitly then anythin. im still pricing my stereo for the 2G but i think ima go with one alpine type s ten inch with some kinda liek 300 watt alpine 2 channel for it. then a 250 watt 4 channel for the doors.

 

I feel ya...I do the same thing when I pull up to the lights. I cringe when I hear somebody pull up to the light banging...ESPECIALLY when it is something that has alot of foul language to it. I also found that I am a little sensitive to music with foul language so I buy (if I buy at all) my CD's at Wally world or clean off of I-tunes.

 

MaliciousRC HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT INSTALLING YOUR INTAKE? I KNOW THERES DIFFERENT METHODS, IM GONNA TRY TO DO IT WITH OUT TAKING THE BUMPER OFF WHEN I DO MINE...

 

I dont think that will be possible because of the filter...................Actually, it might be but I dont think you would have the clearance to tighten the clamp on the filter (if you need to)

 

I didnt take off my bumper...all I did was jack up the front drivers side and take that tire off. Then I took out all of the acura air box crap and installed it. The hardest part was taking out all of the air box crap, after that the intake took 20-30 mins. You also have to remove the palstic housing that is above your tire. Pretty easy...Send me an email address, I have pics!

I forgot about doing it that way...that is how I removed my factory airbox

 

i took off my bumper as well when removed my air box. i may be puttin some mufflers on here soon as well. want more tone but i dont want the whole exhaust yet u kno? lol

 

Ballin sounds like a plan.

 

You could always go the cheap route, keep your mufflers and remove the resonator or mid muffler or both. I removed my resonator, gives it just a bit of sound coming out of the exhaust. Don't know for sure but I think that it probably sounds real good when I get on it. I read on here in another post that removing the mid muffler may be a little loud for a TL but if you are thinking about putting after market mufflers on, it will probably be the same or similar result.

 

I removed my premuffler and it gave it a little noise but I wanted more so I also removed my resonator and it sounds better. Didnt want to put new mufflers on. So I went the cheap route. Not too big on performance, mainly style.

 

ya taht is a good point dave, i looked in ottaht as well but i have to find a shop taht woill cut both completely out or i'll ask my other pops to do it. eitehr way she will get more tone to her lol

Any muffler shop will do it. I got mine done at the local Big Al's Muffler. Cost me I think 20 bucks to get the resonator cut out and a new piece of pipe put in.

I am curious about the next meet as well.
