Man that sux especially since you were being passed. He got you for speeding I am guessing? Or he was just trying to get a closer look and thought that by giving you a ticket he was justified for pulling you.

The owner's name is Craig, he's a really good guy and won't screw with you. The only thing that sucks is they aren't open that late and they aren't open on the weekends. I couldn't ask for better service though. Let them know I sent you, not that you'll get a discount, but I have a pretty good relationship with them, so they'll probably be a little more friendly than usual. My name is Jeff Snow, btw.

Exactly.. I think he just needed an excuse, and of course having to choose between me and a beat up old truck wasn't much of a decision. He didn't even try to hide it. Oh well.. At least it wasn't reckless. It guess it could have been much worse. Besides, As I said before.. F^%k HIM! Karma can be a real b!tch.. and his day will come.

BTW.. Any of you guys interested in getting together for a quick meet before memorial day to install either a fujita or AEM CAI on my 07 TL Type S? (unless you guys have other recommendations) I don't have a garage or tools, so we would also need a freindly location conducive to getting the work done. I was also considering swapping the pulleys as well. Do any of you guys have any experience with this? I will be happy to provide lunch!

If you guys suggest any other perfomance mods, I have a pretty open mind. These just seem to give you the best bang for your buck.
Thanks.
Michael

Last thing.. Can you all send me your favorite pic of you and your car for Team acurazineVA's official team website? Include some basic info about yourself.
Any and all help will be much appreciated. Send all info to TaglishTees at Cox.net and put AcurazineVA in the subject line.

Also, I suggest getting an ATLP Jpipe, supposed to get some decent gains for ~$400.

And AcurazineVA website!? Sweet!!

Thanks Faiz..
The site will be up soon.. hopefully before the Memorial Day Meet. I let the cat out of the bag at the Spring Meet, but this is the first I have mentioned it on the boards.. It will be a nice site to suit our needs, and also help us to easily refer local enthusiasts to the acurazine site to register.
Any idea on the install cost on the Jpipe? This may be a stupid question, but I was also wondering if the impact is different on the typeS. Doesn't it already have a modified exhaust?

It's slightly free flowing with a little more free flowing cats (I think its like 600 cells for base and 400 cells for TLS) but the JPipe makes a good 10/11 horse power and torque increase on both the base and TLS.
The JPipe can be bought for 400 but install is ussually a DIY, we can all meet up and help you install. I was supposed to help Steve but he never called me! haha

Yeah, I think that is why I have been pulled twice in the last 3 years, because of the car, not what I was doing (got a ticket for speeding back in 2005). Did not have any mods done yet but a lot of people like the color. I was doing 80 in a 65 when I got the ticket but so was everyone else down the road ahead of me. The second time I got pulled was after modding and with tint. Got pulled for the tint but no ticket.

Navy, I think they look similar to the RonJon Legends that Lee (Malicious) and Adrian (totalacuratl)have, just not the same color, and the spokes are not slanted. I think that they will look real good. Going with the 18's? What color rims are you thinking about?

Below is an ASM with RJ's like Malicious has if that gives you any idea.

Has anyone seen the new '09 TSX and if so, what do you think?
IMO, as long as you don't look in its face, it looks good. But that grill!! Nasty.
Still has the same power rating though.

FIRST OFF I GOT THE J-PIPE INSTALLED TODAY, LET ME SAY IT KICKED MY ASS. FIRST I CHEWED ONE OF THE BOLTS OFF THE CAT, SO I HAD TO CONTEND WITH THAT RETHREADING IT NOT TO BAD.
THEN THE NUTS HODING THE J-PIPE ON REALLY DID NOT WANT TO COME OFF, THANKS GOD MY DAD HAD A LIL AIR COMPRESSOR WITH AN IMPACT GUN. THEN THE PIPE I HAD TO DO SOME SLIGHT MODIFICATION TO (IE A BIG ASS HAMMER) TO GET A PINCH MORE CLEARANCE AROUND THE OIL PAN. BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY I REALLY LIKE IT I FEEL AN IMPRESSIVE IMPROVEMENT WITH THE POWER BAND. IM NO EXPERT, BUT WITH THE INTAKE AND THROTTLE BODY SPACER I FELT THE POWER BAND WAS MISSING SOMTHING, NOT ANY MORE. ME LIKY. FAIZ I THOUGHT U WERE OUT OF TOWN GOING TO THE MARYLAND MEET. DAMN THAT LOOKED HOT . ANY QUESTIONS HIT ME UP..........

I haven't seen it yet, but I was just talking to my buddy Chris at Acura about it the other day.. apparently it has been a real hit so far. He said there is a significant increase in the torque which people like but in the end, the overall HP is the same. He was supposed to send me some pics b/c he said the pics on the acura site don't do it justice. I still didn't get them yet but I will post them if he sends them.

Okay.. I am definitely sold!
Anyone interested in a "mod meet" on the 17th or 18th to help me get my car ready for Memorial Day? I should be able to get the ATLP Jpipe and CAI by then.
I just don't have the tools, a place to do the work.. (or to be completely honest.. any mechanical skills whatsoever!) I will be happy to buy lunch though!
Is there any performance difference between the Fujita and the AEM CAI? If I am going to do this.. I want do this right.

BTW.. my stock typeS wheels and tires are officially on the market. (no room for storage.) I am letting them go for $750 for the set.. If anyone is interested PM me.

Wicked...did you have a breaker bar? I've always worked on base and luckily I have access to almost every tool imaginable there, including impact wrenches! Mike, you don't have base sticker by any chance do you?

Damm those do look good on an ASM LOL. Those RonJons look better than the Enkei. If the Netz came in that kinda finish i would be all over it. I don't like the grey, not a fan of black wheels on a silver car and not sure if the silver is too much on a silver car. I just need to make up my freaking mind haha, might still go with the Nets though . LOL, damm i hate picking wheels. So many to choose from and don't wanna make the mistake and get the wrong ones.

No but my father in law is retired Navy and I have driven him onto the base before. I can't really remember the logistics. I think he just had to show his ID at the gate. That was a long time ago though. Do you think we can get my car on base now?

Are there "performance" shops around here that do this kind of work and actually KNOW what they are doing with our acuras?

I would probably be able to get your car on base, but we wouldn't be able to go to the hobby shop (that's what the place is called). The only thing that I can think, not sure if this is to much work though, is if you fill out this form that says I can operate your vehicle on base and have it notorized, I could probably pull it off by saying that there seemed to be something wrong with you car and I had to try to figure out what is was. I don't know how high off the ground the car would need to be to get the J-pipe in either. Don't know if it's something we could do in a driveway. I have a decent amount of mechanical knowledge (installed headers, full exhaust, lowering springs and pulleys on car) so I think we could get it done.
As for performance shops, the place that I bring my car to when I get it dynoed is called DTP racing. They're in Chesapeake not to far from Priority Acura. I am sure they can do it. Real nice guys there too.

Did Mine In The Driveway, Had A 4 Ton Craftsman Jack Got About 20 Inchs Of Lift, Clearence, Then Used Jack Stands. So A Driveway Application Is Very Feasible. But I Would Highly Suggest Air Tools... But Im Game If He Wants To Try It...

Yeah, I know how you feel. I went through the same deal when I picked mine out. I am happy I got the ones that I did. Not everyone on AZ is happy with them but I get compliments all the time from my local friends AND people I don't know. Anyway, good luck. I hope I did not stir up any new indecisions by showing you those.

BTW, I went to the 3rd gen photo gallery and into one of the stickies to find them if you wanted to look over there for ideas. I just clicked on the ASM link.

Like Doc said. I looked at over a hundred pics before making up my mind about the Legends. I didn't think I was ever going to get wheels let alone choosing one. Just make sure you do the necessary research about the specs and experiences of the wheels you want before buying.

Wow! I don't know much about those wheels, but that sounds like a steal! Especially for 19's, but don't like that drive your decision Derrick.

Thanks Jeff.. I actually called DTP today and they werent interested in doing performance mods on any Acuras, but they gave me the name of a shop in Portsmouth called "Millenium". The guy at Millenium was nice and the prices seemed pretty fair for labor. The only thing I didn't like was that he was supposed to call me back today about whether or not he was able to get the parts and I didn't hear back from him. I don't mind getting the parts myself, but this just put up a little flag regarding customer service/professionalism. He should have called me one way or another. We'll see how it goes. Who knows.. I am actually considering going all the way and throwing those TeinSS on there with the EFDC too!

BTW.. Dave.. I never did thank you for calling me this weekend and helping out with the flyers.. I really appreciate it!

Watch out for them Mike! Don't quote me, but I use to hear no-so-good things about Millenium. As a matter of fact, I thought they closed down a while back. I got a guy name Mike at Sport and Imports in Chesapeake off of Capastello. He installed my pulley, CAI, wheels & tires, and Intake manifold spacer. He actually a BMW shop, but he does all kinds of cars. I've been dealing with him for over a year with no problems. Let me know if you want his number.

Also there is another guy off of Battlefield that I go to for dynos. His name is Keenan at All Aspect Racing. He only charges $55 for 3 pulls. I can give you his number as well.

Much appreciated Adrian.. Like I said Millenium already sent up 1 red flag and I would much rather take my business to someone referred and trusted by our azine community. Please send me both numbers ASAP. I assume that I should just start getting all of the parts myself since he is a BMW shop? Is that what you did?
