Who else is still going to the Mega Meet on Sunday?

I was also up that way twice this week and really don't feel like making that drive again.

 

so when is the next meet? I mean other than tomorrow. Can't go, have training on the new sony 4K T.V. tomorrow morning and work 1-close.

Atlantic Autosports on Virginia Beach Blvd did mine. Pretty damn good and fast as hell. Typical prices. Mine was $188 with the windshield strip. Speaking of which, lost that damn strip yesterday because I got my freakin' windshield replaced. The chip repair pretty much failed. Sucks but at least it is fresh OEM glass. Next person that shoots my car with a bb gun is getting a bb up the bunghole.

Man that's messed up about the stripping. Xtreme charged me $200 even to strip the old and put on the new. I guess it's not bad, for the price.

 

How long did it take Xtreme to do your tint?

Since they had to take off the old one, it took 2 hours.

Don't know if I will still have it; I've got a few calls on it so far, but only a couple of guys that were very interested. We could still do a shoot and cruise in my new ride...

 

Man, I'm torn between 35% and 50% all the way around. Since my rear window is still tinted, it makes the other windows look dark. I'm thinking that if I get 50% it will look darker than 50% but still legal.

 

^^I got 35% all around and it's dark enough for me, especially at night. You could also get away with 35% on the sides and leave the rear alone if it's not too dark. Just make sure they match the new tint with the back. That way if you don't like it, they can do the back to match the new tint.

 

Weather has been so crappy lately.. been trying to go for a cruise.

 

Will be going Saturday as long as weather holds out. You should join us. Some of us are also meeting up early to hit the Sumospeed event.

 

I may or may not have the FR-S for the meet Saturday. I've got a "slight" issue with it at the moment, heading to the dealer tomorrow morning

I suspect a faulty head gasket or bad casting. Its smoking at higher rpms and burning coolant. I'm still in warranty, I hope they don't try screwing me over though. I'm sitting at the dealer right now, so I'll find out in a few hours.

 

Yeah man. They shouldn't screw with you much. Not like you have a turbo install or anything crazy. Hope all goes well.

 

Yeah they should say anything. Hopefully it gets fix soon, and don't have to wait for parts or anything like that.

 

They tried saying that my car was previously boosted

And then they said that it was heavily modded

Then tried saying that a lot of the bolts in the engine bay have been touched

BTW, they are holding the car. They opened up a Techline (basically for their techs to talk directly with the engineers) to find out whats going on. They said they plan on doing a compression test, but wanted me to confirm that I want them to do it. They said its going to take a while due to the placement of the spark plug holes. So Im back home waiting for a phone call.

 

This does beg one to question. Why buy a smoking FRS when ya coulda bought a Z?! pshhhh! hahaha!!! Sorry. I'm lonely.

And don't blow up your car on the way. I might cry a little. haha. And we're keeping the other part of the meet at the normal time since I didn't get any input on the earlier suggestion.

 

If it blows, the dealer has a record of it so know they shouldve fixed it before.
