the game is more addicting then crack, cause you have 700 types of crack to tryout.
what exactly is the a-spec points? is it the more you have a race dependent on what car u race with. i got 8-19 points for sinday cup with the tsx but when i went to the FF races i was getting about 115 points per race.

please adjust, per Zapata's recommendations.
I'm trying to get golds in all the license tests.. some of them are not too bad, but some of them are.
I have the most trouble with the slow ass cars. The fast cars, there is more room to make up time because, well, they're fast. But with the slow ass cars, gold and silver is sometimes the difference between crossing the finish line at 85 vs. 84 mph... kinda insane.

Fuck that, I do well enough to get bronze and move on. Usually you can get liscense cars somewhere else......

Well, that's probably the difference between you finishing it this year and me finishing it in 2007...

I'm neurotic...MUST GET ALL GOLDS! DAMMIT!
just a reminder about the physics engine of GT4. As you know, when you hit the brakes, your car dives much more than it used to in GT3, especially for stock showroom vehicles. Some people (here and at other forums) seem to not like this - they think they should have kept the physics model the same as GT3, say they prefer some other arcadey racing game, etc. Well guess what - THIS IS HOW REAL CARS DRIVE. This game is just a little too realistic for some people.
yea I love how the cars get twitchy at high speed... so awesome. It makes you feel like you're really driving that fast.

Although I will buy it, I have doubts Forza can come close to this...I have been wrong lots before tho...

on the M and the N (I posted previously on this)Shooting down those narrow turns, I would have been fine on GT3, but with the new engine, I got into an accident that would have without a doubt killed me in real life, and utterly destoryed the car. I never had that happen in GT3

yep, this game is very humbling. You must absolutely brake in the brake zone and hit the apex etc., otherwise will loose.

btw there are a few things i don't like about the game. has anyone noticed no N(eutral) when playing manual. when with 2 player replay can the screen be combined into one screen focusing on the leader. it saves too much and cannot reload the game if bought a wrong car. and the biggest thing is that you cannot spin out when cornering with a high hp car like u used to in gt3. (aka floor it in the middle of a turn)
Another thing I've noticed when playing this game...
I can't play this game if I'm tired... One lapse of concentration, and my teg and I are flying off to the side...
And I'm sure it's the same way with real racing... one split second of "hmm, I wonder if I should order pizza tonight" last night got me from first to last in a race last night. And if it was real life, I would have been six feet under.

I haven't checked any of the 2 player replay options yet, I will let you know if I find anything out.
If you turn off TCS and ASM (mainly TCS) - you will be able to spin out a high-hp car in the middle of a turn. Although, I'm not sure why, not being able to spin out in a turn would be a problem...

i don't think i would've been 6 feet under, but definantly not racing for a few months.....

I just picked up the MADCATZ universal component cable (6055) last night. It hooks up to both a ps2 and an xbox, $10 at best buy. Don't know if its any good but shit, for $10 I'll try it.

ClutchPerformer doesn't have the game yet....
Bring the PS with you?
For gt1 and 2 i used auto for the most part, but for gt3 it was manual all the way. Another thing is in GT4 cars like the mercedes that come with autos in real life, shift differently than a car with a manual. Its called auto logic, which tends to make an auto act and shift differently than a manual. The autos in GT4 tend to do more gear hunting, especially when you modify the tranny and start messing with the gearing. This game is the best i fucking love it. That is all, must play.

Although, I guess I don't think about it anymore. For one of the International-B license tests it was a Mercedes SL500 @ a few curves of the 'Ring, and I was playing manual. I didn't even think twice about the real car not having manual.

I think I'm gonna wait until the price drops a little... Plus I'm having way too much fun with FFXI right now. If I got GT4 now, there's no way I'd ever finish my thesis!
