Exactly why I didn't finish GT3.

btw.. in GT4 prologue whenever you won a car it would play like a video of like your pit crew and stuff congratulating you with your new car.. wonder why they didnt keep that in GT4
no doubt that sucked at first, until we found a way around it - all you did was, save the game right before the last race of the series - you were already in 1st place - go to the final race and quit out of it - if you don't get the prize car you want, reload the game, and repeat the process until you get the car you want.

yea but even that was still a pain in the ass cause.. sometimes id take forever to get it to randomly pick that car you wanted.. and you couldnt do that for endurance races

Exactly. I needed an F1 car and I would waste time on the Endurance race for a fucking POS.

Its a little better than GT3 though in the sense that you get three cars for getting all gold, vs. just one in GT3.

And I haven't even attempted S yet

I want the Jay Leno Tank car though. Imagine taking that around Nuremberg

ya, I would love to take the Tank car around Nordberg too, still haven't won that yet...

in other news, I tried the first 12 Driving Missions last night... aside from the ones with the slow ass cars, this was quite fun!!! Especially challenging was the 3-lap race @ Laguna in the Ford GT LM racecar... I think it's mission 10 or 11. You have to pass 5 cars within 3 laps... basically you have to run near-perfect laps to do it... try it out.

I stopped after the Laguna race, but there are like 10 more 3-lap races like it after that!!! there is definitely some work to do in this game... I got to 24.9% complete...

i finally have some money to spend on a decent car (125k). im wondering what i should get. maybe a car to use for the special condition events, some kinda of rally car, since i could use it for a lot of races, or should i get something for the professional races? or something else? i still havent even finished the beginning ones :/ only did about 3 sections of it

You don't need to buy a rally car, you can win it(Toyota RSC Rally Car) in the 2nd race of special condition hall. 125k is good for a NSX-R and few mods, it should be good enough to win most of the beginner races.

This game screws up my nighttime schedule all the time now...

Plus, it hurts my eyes after driving 10 races at 100+MPH...

holy cow... I've never seen my eyes as bloodshot as when I woke up today. Stayed like that even after I'd got to work. Coworkers asking me if I'd been doing drugs.... I said, pretty much. Seriously though, I had about 5-6 hours of sleep per night over the weekend, so I think just the amount of concentration this game takes and constant focus on the TV caused my eyes to get like that?? dunno... but damn.

Except the slight HP decrease, I don't see any differences. I have a 99 R34 V-Spec and it runs pretty damn smooth. (Yes I cheated. I took it to run the 90s challenge in Japanese Hall, since the 99 model was the first year for R34...)

Well, only to normal spec. If you take a new car to have an oil change, hp will increase up to 5%. Used cars don't have the extra 5% increase of hp, thats the only difference I found so far.

Oh man Zap, you almost killed me! I was just taking a chug of water when I scrolled to your pic of the Benz.

BTW - The SCE marketing peeps need to get better editors. IMO, you guys have posted some images that are much better looking than some of the official pre-release screen caps.

when buying a used car or after having a car for a long time, when you go to the performance shop right next to the weight reductions is an option that lets you s=traighten out the car, increase the ridgitity, but at a cost of $50K.....

btw, FORZA will blow chunks compared to this game. I'm sorry, GT4 graphics owns!!!!

Anyone else see that they fixed the "sense of speed" in GT4?? In GT3, no matter what low end car you raced, it seemed SLOW in cockpit view. I mean, going 100mph seem like you were going 45mph at best. But now, I use a bone stock Integra type R going 90mph, it's FAASSST!!!

The racing tracks are awesome!!! (the music sucks)
