i like to know that i can race any race in the game though. even though I cant, still good to get it out of the way

 

phew.... just finished iA license 15 - the 190 Evo racecar @ the Ring... it took me about 7 starts to get it... I kept messing up within the first minute or two of the track... and then finally I got going off to a good start... and finished the lap... 9:06.... 4 sec off gold .. will have to try that again later, now its time to tackle half of Lemans (the fast half) with a Nissan group C racecar

 

Well, I finally got some money going, and I feel like I should treat myself to a car........but I don't know what to buy

I have around 500k to blow

 

well this just sucks.. i came down with the flu.. feel barely strong enough to do anything let alone play some GT4 damn i really wanted to spend all weekend playing GT4 and then on sunday goto D1GP.. hope i get better at least in time for D1GP

 

M5, SL65(forget about SLR, its overrated), NSX-R, DB9, R34 V-Spec II Nur, RS6, RGT etc. just to name a few...

 

well... just finished S-license... took me 2 hours to whip through it.. no golds a few silvers... the final test was a surprise to me, it wasn't what I was expecting...

 

I am on the last event of the S license. Just got back in and I hope to get it over with. I only tried the last event once, but it seems pretty easy. and i knor for sure i can get a gold on event 15. i raped lemans!!!!

 

Srika, do you use the steering wheel or the controller?

 

ehh.. well. I think my wheel doesn't work with GT4 (see above)... I haven't tried it though... just been using the controller for now... it sux cuz I have 2 wheels already... don't know if I feel like buying a third....

nice job on Lemans, I got silver too, was off by a few seconds... but it was kicking my ass for a bit, I kept fuxoring the chicanes @ the end.... got owned once when I went off the track at the final chicane.... ... damn the sense of speed and track texture @ Lemans is insane....

Does anyone know if it saves Track time records (best lap time) in simulation mode? The only place I can find it is in arcade mode....That would suck if it doen't save track records for sim mode...

i won all of the american races last night, now to finish offf the rest of beginner and pro. I think i have the cars to do so.

 

sorry for being a noob, but what is 1337? are u guys talking in some type of computer code? if u are does it me something like i'm cool, or something close to that?

anyway, i played last night and when going into the used car dealership it is tempting to buy a car, cause it is so cheap compared to the new ones. with the money saved you could double the hp in some cases.

here's a quick way to make cash...

10 minutes, 4 laps... $265,624...

1. Go to SPECIAL CONDITION EVENTS
2. Choose to race in the second games RALLY d' CAPRI - you can use the fastest car you have to get over with it quick.....
3. complete each of the 2 races - only catch is, if you hit any walls there is a 5 second penalty... not a big deal tho...
4. prize car is TOYOTA RSC RALLY RAID CAR '02 - (although you may want to keep one as its pretty nice.)
5. sell for $265,624
6. enter the event again, it will ask to clear previous records for that event. click yes, win car, repeat as needed.

Wow I can't believe I didn't know that! That makes things a lot easier. After winning the Z Concept LM Race car I haven't lost a match yet.

here's another one... do the Capri Rally 3 times. Buy a Mercedes SLR. Win the Mercedes Silver Arrow race. Get CLK-GTR.

Silver Arrow race doesn't take too long to do... sell next CLK-GTR for 800,000...

umm.. sorry but I kinda botched up the info on the Mercedes race... ... you win the Mercedes race, and you get a CLK DTM Touring Car, not the GTR. You take this car to the European Touring car race, and when you win that, you get the GTR. Still not a bad thing because you're progressing, just a minor mixup kthx. and, you can win the Mercedes race with an SL65 too, don't need to get the SLR - but it is nice to have.. you could probably win with E55 or SL55 too, it will just be harder and if you mess up you'll get smoked by the computer SLR...

I put an 800hp Mercedes SLR into the Professional Event Tuning Car championship. The very first race, I decided to put it in B-spec mode, do Fast and Overtake.......the fucking car got OWNED. ASBOLUTLEY FUCKING OWNED. This is the biggest bunch of bullshit I've ever seen, I watched it the whole time, never did it spin out or mess up...........

I haven't yet beaten it A-spec either, I wonder if I'll do any better........

800hp? Try 1200hp next time. you can't win those I-A/S licence races without group C cars.

Yes, I just found that out today...

After you got the 00' CLK Touring Car, mod it and then play the German Touring Championship in B-Spec mode. The prize car is CLK-GTR which is worth 800k. Plus the prize money you can finish the whole series(with 3x speed of course)and earn 880k in 20 mins.

 

So I guess you haven't got far into the game yet, how about a fully modded JGTC car? Like I said earlier SLR is highly overrated.

 

damn the CLK-GTR OWNS!!! took it for a drive @ the 'Ring... damn. I messed up a LOT and still ran a 6:30... haven't even modded it yet... it has 790hp stock, modded it goes over 1000hp... but damn this thing is a RUSH @ the Ring!!!

My SL65 just hit 940hp and absolutely owns any SLR. I am just waiting on my CLK-GTR is finished being optioned out.

I don't know about you guys but has your wife/gf gotten pissed off at you yet over spending too much time playing? My woman left the apt at around 8:30am when I just turned it on, came back over at 5:00pm for dinner and proceeded to not understand why I havent gotten out of the chair all day. I then sat her down and explained the SL65 I had built and how cool it was. 5 seconds later, alone again in the apt.
