ARe you doing the F1 Champ? I noticed in your above post you mentioned the Sauber. I had to supervise the races and did myself the oval one. This car HAS to be on 4 or 3 for straights and 5 for straights when possible. In Laguna like a 1 at one of the last turns.

But yeah I was fortunate to get all firsts the first go around except for Infeneon. Make sure you leave Pass on too. There are some tracks though where 5 will hurt you and you have to go down to 3.

 

Yeah for now I don't care too much about getting all firsts, just enough so I win the championship and get the Sauber. I can always go back to the ones where I didn't win.

i didnt look though all the posts but did anyone have this problem with GT$...or any newer games for PS2?

i got my PS2 the day it came out though pre-order at EB games...over the years i would notice that it would trip out every once in a while on Madden games sometimes saying the QB got sacked for a safety while he was dropping back or that he ran 2393409584354yrd from scrimmage...it would also put occasional slashes across the screen...however...it was only Madden games ('02, '04, '05)...recently i borrowed a friends MGS3 played 5 min...then froze...happened multiple times...then i purchased GT4...again with the 5 min then freezing and screen is completely f-ed up...broke down a bought new PS2...is there anythign i can do to get a refund from sony for a defective machine/older driver? thanks

 

Yeah call Sony because they'll repair a defective PS2. I don't think you'll get reimbursed for the new one if you trashed the old one but it doesn't hurt to try. Go to www.gamefaqs.com under the PS2 Hardware FAQ. I can't link you because the site doesn't allow direct links.

 

thanks...i actually bought this thing at best buy for 20 bucks to be able to trade my new ps2 in for a ps3 when it comes (or for store credit for the buying price) whenever i want...so that works

Do our PSP's have analog joystick and buttons like the PS2? I say drop the GT4 mobile project if it doesn't.

 

1 analog stick, digital buttons. This is a reason I am in no hurry to play GT4 on PSP. I played Race Driver for PSP for a little while and while it was enjoyable, I didn't find myself addicted to it, mainly because of the control - while decent, it's not perfect and its frustrating at times.
