well, it is allegedly Vettel. no proof (thus far) that it was actually him.

some thoughts on the Vettel video - I think it makes sense

Sebastian Vettel probably didn't do 350 km/h on public road with Ferrari F12 Berlinetta [video]
Sebastian Vettel probably didn't do 350 km/h on public road with Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

A video with a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta tuned by PP-Performance doing 350 km/h on public roads in Abu Dhabi and possibly driven by Sebastian Vettel has emerged onto the web.

The video was recorded by German journalist Matthias Malmedie who posted the video on YouTube with the description “Ich liebe #Vettel ! Kaum ist er offiziell bei #Ferrari unter Vertrag, fährt er sich in Abu Dhabi den Frust von der Seele)) #f12”.

Our German isn't that great but he probably said "I love Vettel! As soon as he is officially under contract with Ferrari, he takes his frustration off his soul in Abu Dhabi."

The video showed up online only a few hours after Ferrari announced signing a three-year contract with Sebastian Vettel who is going to replace Fernando Alonso starting next season. Most likely Vettel wasn't behind the wheel as he is still under contract with Red Bull and in case he actually did 350 km/h on public roads, he's smart enough not to allow the video go public.

In addition, PP-Performance uploaded the same video on their Facebook account with the description: "a small exit with the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta tuned by PP-Performance" so it's likely a video recorded by one of the tuner's representatives.

Haha! Yeah, I would love to own one. I've been a huge fan of Mustang, which is a little weird since I'm one of those skinny Asians.

If I get to buy a Mustang, it'll only happen if I get to keep my BRZ.

Fun apples vs Fun oranges.

Oh you had a drag racing background?

Would never have guessed that right. Sorry.

Ferrari F12 is probably the Ferrari I'd buy today simply because of how ludicrous it is...and the way it sounds makes all my personal bits very excited. Though it makes me very sad that I'll probably never be able to own one.

The cars I like, I don't want to pay for and the money I want to spend is for cars I don't like.

Of course I have. When I was 17 and an idiot kid. I haven't been irresponsible on the road since then. And I sure as hell wasn't doing 350Km/h when I did it

Yeah, that's probably true. I just can't reconcile spending $40K on a car. If I did, there's some good options in that price range.

Once I get closer to $30k, I'm not at all excited about any of them.

And this is why the car gods are angry with you. You are unwilling to make the sacrifices necessary to obtain greatness.

It's hard when you start to care about all these "stuff" other than performance such as comfort, cargo volume, NVH, drivetrain choice, interior design, and whatnot.

A fun car that comes with decent amount of all those other stuff is not cheap these days.

I know you value those a lot in your buying decision. So, I don't know man. It will only get harder for you to upgrade if you are not willing to spend more than $40k.

I don't really care about the other stuff so I went with BRZ which is FUN to drive for DDing AND tracking.

LOL, I just thinking that this morning. "I wish I didn't care about what I drove. I'd sell the Focus and just drive this 2003 Accord until the airbag killed me"

Well, being the token gas-guzzling driver in here, it's still not cheap enough for my tastes.

Won't be happy until it costs me $34.50 to fill up the FX.

I drove an '87 Suburban with a 42gal tank when I was in high school. Can't imagine filling that up right now.

It actually costs me less than $34.50 to fill up my BRZ..

And my car averages around 24mpg even though I drive as if I'm Senna.

to generalize, cars now days have gone up about 10k in price within the last 10 years and it is only going to continue to do so.

a freaking fully loaded TLX cost $46k now and my CL-S was only in the low 30s back then with similar engine and everything else.

So sucks but you just need to accept the fact that cars are 10k more expensive than before and forget about how much they used to cost..... like gas....

Don't care if I have to stop twice as often to fill up...I'd still kick your ass from stoplight to stoplight.

I can afford stuff but I haven't had the best luck with my decisions lately so I'm hesitant to add about $15K in debt for another car that I regret buying.
