yup

It seems that they just don't produce a lot of them. The result is ridiculous lease program and little to no discount from MSRP.

It is still reasonably priced (by BMW's standard) since almost every performance oriented option is standard.

I built one and it was under $50k.

Quite a few M235i in the N Houston area, seen at least 3-4 in the last month or so. White, blue & black. Looks great in all 3.

They don't offer the M235i in that duckshart green color, right?

Yeah, still will never appreciate that color. And will forever refer to it as "duckshart green".

Although, if they painted the Poopdick or a Pagani in that color, I'll still give my nuts and 2343626 moved posts for one.

just FYI

For additional $5000

You can request BMW during order process to paint your car (any new BMW) to ANY color you want from BMW factory.

a guy on m3 forum paid $5,000 for the Estoril Blue that is standard on F3X M sport but not on M3, not even an Individual Option.

Color is nice.... if i had to pay $5,000. I will make sure it is a color that no one else has ... especially on the cheaper 3 series.

That dude spent almost $9k upgrading to the carbon ceramic brakes; I'm thinking $5k to get the color he wanted didn't bother him much.

$5k is not a lot to spend on paint on a higher end car. Good paint + the labor ain't cheap.

Plus BMW owns the problem if the paint starts having problems.

I too would have gone with something else but nice car. The purple from the E36 M3 might have been interesting.

every time i say i want a car, and i think i can afford it. About a week later i then realize I won't be able to, till loans are done. Then a week after that I'm just like screw it. Then the next week I'm like seriously though I won't be able too.

I need my loans to just wipe out!!

I won't be, but i wanna be able to afford more than civics too in my life. Also most cars I want are germans, and I dont want a used german car with more than 50k miles haha, so I'll be buying new or with little miles, and that aint cheap!

What are your guys thoughts on a '15 Optima?

My fiancée wants one as her next car to replace her boat 06 Avalon with only 70k. She doesn't want the turbo or a higher optioned SX, she said she would be perfectly happy with a 2.4 (non turbo) EX (mid level)model.

I sat in one yesterday, dealer didn't offer a test drive, and it was nicer than what pictures suggest. The pano roof was nice.

Anyone know of someone with higher mileage on these cars and how it's holding up?

My buddy has an '11 Sonata that he drives the shit out of, and it's had zero issues, so I figured the Kia would hold up the same.

She initially wanted a Fusion SE, but I almost talked the Accord EX-L on her

I feel like a GTI would be better for speeddemon. Torque is better for a daily driver, I feel. If you track the car, then undoubtedly the 86 will be better. The car really came alive when I took it to a couple of autocrosses and track days.

I'm going to test drive a WRX when they start having them on lots instead of saving them to sell with silly markups. There is a small part of my that undoubtedly wishes my BRZ had another 20-30 hp and lb/ft of torque, but then I forget all about that when I hit a twisty canyon road

The whole point of Optima is the looks in the higher trim and the overall package it offers.
She might as well get something else if the optima she wants look like every other base model rentals from Enterprise.

she can get the base model TLX.

you are only 23...

you will be able to afford what you wanted in several years assuming you invested wisely with your student loan.

That's what I told her. She doesn't want to spend over 30k though. But her car is paid for, and she would want to put down more money in top. I told her why not increase the budget if you want to put down close to 15k?

She just wants low payments is all. She's never had a car payment in her life

Agreed SX or nothing. Coworker has a '14 SXL really nice car.
My boss has a '12 SX Sorento, somewhere around 35k on it. Not a problem & he just moved from Houston to Atlanta. Great truck.
If you could get the SX with a 6MT, I'd be sold.

I was just over at the Volvo forums. Folks are getting 37-38mpg on the highway in a V60 with the Drive-E turbo-4. That's pretty damn good from a gas engine. I can only imagine what the diesel would get.

Obviously, when people are on the beans all the time or in rush hour, it's much lower (mid-20s). But I have been able to get my car from 25.5 average to over 29 just by changing my driving style a little bit when I don't have the urge to thrash it. Though any time I go into DC, that kills it

I surprised myself by getting 29.4MPG on my previous tank last night after filling up. And I haven't been driving easy.

Don't even bother. 70k on an Avalon is just getting broken in. A base or even mid model Kia would be a downgrade. What's her reason for wanting a new car anyway?

I don't know how that's possible. Unless there's something wrong with my car or I'm using some other tune setting than you
