I don't know about handling. It's two tons but with pzeros and bilstein 3 way adjustable suspension and traction control (race, sport, street), it must be able to handle.

Here's Jays Garage with the Challenger Hellcat. He lays rubber going 45 / 50 mph.

that's fucking awesome! The gauges are really cool, I love that manufacturers are implementing things like that now.

That is exactly what i will do. Maybe even 295 in the front. with that much power and torque, i will feel the car will snap at any sec.

The E60 M5, with 500hp, came with 255 up front and 285 in the rear so those measurements don't sound too far off, actually.

With 650 lb/ft of torque there's a point where extra tire width will only result in diminishing returns. The tire compound and traction control system are very important.

Are you fucking high Costco.. what width on a street tire would result in diminishing returns in the 700/700 club? 600mm?

haha

We are talking about 700/700 lb of Supercharged torque, Not NA torque at 6000 RPM.

not putting 305 on a 200hp civic.

Well then i guess cars like the LaFerrari with 345s, the zo6 with 335s all could do better with smaller tires then???

Also regarding tires, there's a point where if the tire is TOO wide, and say an owner puts slicks on it, you'll start breaking stuff on the drivetrain such as the driveshaft or axles or other rotational parts such as that, due to too much traction. And I think it's safe to say Dodge didn't want to equip the car with the potential for that to happen, off the showroom floor. If the owner chooses to get wider wheels and tires, well any damage done after that no longer rests on Dodge.

i am very curious about the 11.0 1/4 time with those "skinny" 275 in the rear.

Wouldn't they be just doing burnout for the first 1/8 mile on the track?

I'd guess the traction control is doing a very good job.

so that means, with better tires and TC off, it could be in the mid 10s.

When does the M235i go on sale? The only 2-series I see locally are 228i models.

$41k for a M-Sport 228i with a pretty good amount of kit isn't bad at all. It's comparable to what Audi would probably charge for an A3 Sportback S-Line.

Actually, that's pretty true. I've seen a couple of M235i's on the road, but I understand that they are really in demand and the dealers can't keep them on the lots.

Saw one in Burnaby, BC earlier this week. Looks fantastic. And of course, it was white.
