plus, if you're a beginner, they pair you with other novices on the track as well. Cant pass each other, etc.
so, its not like you're going balls to the walls on your very first run.

you can even have instructors sit with you. they'll yell out commands and you learn your car around a track.

Was either out way too late or up way too early. Probably to drive like an asshole. Hit wet pavement, lost control, busted up his brand new McLaren.
I drive a Subata.

Learning how to drive at the track in a s2k is not any easier nor harder to do than in a Mustang.

Depreciation. I don't talk about it for a car. Every car pretty much depreciate in some way and you gotta pay to play.

Saw it. Don't care. Rich people don't equate to being smart?

That's the thing. There's no clear right way to do it. We are not racing anyone at the track. haha

ATS-V is supposedly in the 3.6s 0-60 range.. If the metrics on the vid are right, I think that's about right. Fucking 100 mph in 8 seconds.. that's near GT-R range. Shit.

Hellcat, GT350, ATS-V... ugh. Going to start street pharmacology and open an urban hammer brokerage firm.. Anybody know a good method to cooking blue crystal?

The times your citing would put it dead on the heels of the Z06 (3.2/7.2) with 200Hp/Tq less & 150lbs. more. I don't see GM letting it get quite that close.

Cadillac claims it can do 0-60 in 4 seconds, & I assume 100 in likely 10 or so which is right on par with its competitors

ATS V-Series | Cadillac
I disagree on the Z06 sentiments.. I mean look at the Z28. If they had that mentality, the Z28 wouldn't be as badass as it is and that's their own brand. The CTS/ATS-V reaches for the other demographic as well.. the guys that need to haul around customers/kids/hookers. Tough to get 3 hos in a vette. Plus there's another twin turbo v6 that weighs 700 lbs more than the z06 and puts lengths on it from a dig.

Plus the numbers I quoted are just observational from the vid, mid 3's is just speculative. Unless they manipulated the playback, it's definitely in the 3's and 8's region. The vid is from Cadillac. Sure it's heavier and less power, but there's another turbo v6 with 700 lbs on the z06 that whips it from a dig.. not apples to apples.. but it's if they learned anything from their competitors, the extra weight might help.

Here's a snippet of the last email I received from COTA regarding track rental:
Exclusive Track Rentals include:
idk if there's a limit to the number of cars / drivers with the track rental, but for $55k.. better be a few clubs chipping in.
Exclusive Track Rentals include:
- Use of full Grand Prix Circuit driven by Formula 1 and MotoGP drivers
- Full day access to Pits, Paddock, 10 Garages, 1 Team Building Classroom, 1 Paddock Club Loft
- VIP extras
- Catered breakfast and lunch
- Full-day private track experience: $55,000

I did a conservative capture on the vid and I returned a 3.7s 0-60 and 8.7s 0-100.

wow at the ATS-V!! :holler:
Also yeah come to think of it more, pretty sure you can't just prance over to a F1 track and do laps for any reasonable amount of money. Those would be the smaller mostly unknown tracks.

you mean to tell me if you had a free GT350 and Free class/track time to learn the car, you wouldnt do it?
auto manufactures do provide special track day packages that let you have fun with the car.

Actually, no. The only car I've crashed is a 1997 Honda and I didn't even total it.
