It's got 31,000 miles as well. Still pretty pristine.

That looks sketchy as hell that the first 3 owners were reported within' 4-5 months. Either this car has issues or Marshall Goldman had some luck selling it to a multiple guys who couldn't actually keep it.

The car looks like it just rolled off the factory line. Very clean.

I also definitely deliberately posted the picture of the shifter lol. There's no way an SMG one would go for that kind of money. I have never read a single good thing about that transmission.

It's very forumlaic and boring - like his videos.

But dude is certainly doing very well in leveraging his personality to expand his business/income-stream to outside of the Youtube-sphere. Makes sense as once you get that big on Youtube...you start to realize just how much Google eats into your income/profit.

All it shows to me is that in the 10+ years since I've first interacted with the guy, he still knows barely anything beyond reading a brochure & owner's manual.

If we pool all our money together and get a loan from BoostedJack, maybe we can afford it.

  • Full working gearbox
  • Radiators
  • Hoses
  • Pipelines
  • Electrical rear wing
  • Pedals
  • Brakes
  • Steering rack & pinion
  • Steering wheel (race)
  • Steering wheel (travel)
  • STR car cover
  • Seat Pierre Gasly
  • Seatbelts
  • Less engine, hydraulics, and ECU
https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/De...olling-chassis

I think it normally takes a few years to see a F1 this close to the current trim up for sale, let alone almost completely functional. Usually, these things are stripped underneath.

Hmmm, not a huge fan of the red, but the car is bone stock and only has 31,767 miles on the clock; were it not for saving up to buy a house next year, this would be under serious consideration for me.

I saw that car in person during its time in Cleveland. Showed up at a Cars and Coffee. All I can say is...poor car, it was made to be driven...only at 165 miles, it will never be. Looked amazing, though.

Damn.

So how much would something like that cost? Real life F1 car that's pretty close to recent spec.....$5million+ ? Way more?

Can't imagine the insane engineering/maintenance/parts/repair support needed. You'd need a whole team just to be able to track it regularly (computers, parts, tires, fluids, adjustments, etc.). I suspect most are bought for just collection/show-piece and not functional. Even with unlimited money, you'd need to know and have access to people and parts to get it running....which will take time probably....

It's hard to guess since F1s are traded off-market or advertised POA to protect their investment, so I'm going to attempt to go by the Ferrari SF1000 Show Car that sold last year for $1.5m. That car of course, is just a show piece with no mechanical bits or race history, but it is of Ferrari provenance, both drivers' signatures are on it, and it's a current era chassis to justify its high cost. Otherwise, you could typically pick up a Formula 1 body as an art piece for well under a million bucks, but they are usually 10-15+ years old as well.

This Toro Rosso is a chassis that is of the current era as well and where as it's not a Ferrari example like the SF1000, it does have almost all the working bits & race use to make up the value of the Italian's name plate to make it just as interesting a talking piece. I would wager a guess of $2.5-4 million only because at the end of the day, it's still an art piece that's missing the most important piece of it despite being nearly complete everywhere else. If it had its motor, I would suspect it to easily be $6-7+ million because it'd instantly be the closest you can get to seeing what current Formula 1 drivers are experiencing. But, from my understanding over the years, all the constructors store their cars for years to avoid other teams from dissecting them & I would imagine that's why this Toro Rosso doesn't have its motor.

The sad thing is getting this running would probably ruin its value. I would be certain you can't just plop a Judd V8/V10 in there to gate up to its current gearbox & other bits, so you'd probably have to commission the car's mechanics to be revised to make it work with a new engine. The car would likely become much easier & cheaper to operate, but you'd spend a fortune in doing so and would never make it back because it's not original.

OH man good point...I completely forgot it has no engine...yeah never mind...it's basically an art piece like you said....getting a working engine in there would ruin it...and very true on the protection for any reverse-engineering for modern era motors....yeah no amount of money is going to have a race team release their engine to the public while its still actively being competed or recently competed....

I will add that maybe in the longest of long shots, once the teams switch to the new era of cars after this season, whoever buys this could potentially invest the time & energy into seeing if Red Bull/AlphaTauri have any left over power units just sitting somewhere to purchase. You'd still need an ECU (since that's the 1 thing all teams are highly protective over & will never sell to the public), and a helluva team to get the car working, but it'd be as good as it gets. Could even see if RedBull/AT would be willing to do the job like Ferrari does. Devil's Advocate? The cost of running a motor Honda no longer supports would be risky outside of normal operation costs.

This of course, assuming Red Bull/AlphaTauri have found a completely new engine supplier since Honda is bowing out of the sport and/or the new engine is still something very close in design to the Honda RA motor (or current FIA regulations) meaning RedBull/AT would prefer to keep their current power units in house beyond their retirement.

Not only all that, I highly doubt a V8 or V10 would fit in the space where a 1.6l V6 used to live.

It's already been confirmed that RB is taking the Honda motor in house, so the chances of them selling units to the public is slim to none.

I still vote 5.7l iron block LS with twin turbskis.

Or - K20 swap. It does say Honda on the side

K20, or go CBR1000 bike motor.

YouTube channel I follow is doing similar, he bought an early 90s indy car & is putting a Busa engine in it, rather than the Infiniti V6 it had when he bought it. His plan is to make it a street legal F1 replica.

Chassis 196, delivered in May 2019. May have had to make room for a new toy; the previous owner does own a P1, Senna GTR, & Speedtail.

Yeah.....when you're that rich...even ultra special cars like that Senna probably gets boring after a year or 2....you're looking forward to your T.50 delivery and you just came back from a private event showing for the next Chiron successor....always something "better" on the horizon.

To us something like that we would cherish our entire lives....but for the uber rich these cars probably get boring pretty fast

Finished at $312,555.

Seller did well since his original listing was at $275,000. Was sitting at $155,555 for a few days as well.

Supercars with manual transmissions are getting rarer, which is why this 2008 Koenigsegg CCX is a notable find. First spotted by Road & Track, it's got the requisite three pedals, and is currently for sale through Cleveland dealership Marshall Goldman with a $1.2 million asking price.

One of just 29 CCXs built, this one currently shows 1,541 miles on the odometer. It's finished in Metallic Black, with carbon-fiber wheels and exposed carbon-fiber door sills. The interior is black leather and Alcantara, but with more carbon fiber mixed in for dashboard inserts, the steering wheel, and air vents. The two bucket seats are also made from carbon fiber.

The car's 6-speed manual transmission is bolted to a 4.7-liter supercharged V-8, which produces 806 hp and 676 lb-ft of torque. In true supercar fashion, the engine is mounted behind the driver and powers the rear wheels. Koenigsegg quotes 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of over 245 mph. The CCX also once held the lap record at the Top Gear Test Track, near the height of the show's popularity.

This CCX also sports carbon-ceramic brakes, a front-end lift system, rearview camera, tire-pressure monitoring system, and a fire extinguisher, according to the listing.

Koenigsegg never dwells on a particular model for long. The CCX was soon surpassed by CCX Edition and CCXR models, and then by a clean-sheet design in the form of the Agera. That car, in turn, has been replaced by the current trifecta of Koenigsegg supercars—the Regera, Jesko, and Gemera.

All three bring impressive technology to the table, such as the Jesko's Light Speed Transmission, or the Gemera's 3-cylinder FreeValve engine. But none offers a manual transmission.

The original Acura NSX remains one of Japan’s finest cars in history. In turn, Ice Cube is among the most successful rappers in the world. When you combine the two legends, you get the car that’s featured in the attached gallery below. And it’s currently up for grabs.

This is no ordinary NSX, obviously. First, it’s a one-off convertible - a full convertible, we’d say, and not just a targa of some sort. The modifications to the roof don't seem particularly professional, to say honestly, as there don’t seem to be any reinforcements to the vehicle’s construction to compensate for the compromised rigidity.

Aside from that, it’s definitely a sleek-looking machine, though we’d be happier with the factory wheels rather than this aftermarket set. The interior looks nice and clean, and this shouldn’t really come as a surprise given the relatively low mileage (45,575 miles). Most of the interior is stock, except for the aftermarket infotainment system with a touchscreen display integrated into the center console.

We don’t know the detailed history of the car, but we know Ice Cube bought it in 1992. We couldn’t find enough evidence to support the claim the rapper and actor commissioned the convertible transformation, though it was reportedly done by Newport Convertible Engineering. We are not here to judge, but in our honest opinion, the NSX looks better as a coupe.
It may not be the prettiest sports car available, but it’s relatively cheap for a first-gen NSX. It is currently listed by Classic Cars of Sarasota, which wants $39,500 for the car. This is probably not the final price and we bet if you show up with $38,000 you’ll be driving away in an NSX convertible.

Didn't look too bad, until seeing the abomination sticking out of the center console

With the way NSX values are going, hacking it up probably wasn't a good idea in hindsight, lol.

Hell no to that NSX. It’s being laughed to pieces in the NSX forums...because it had an automatic tranny.

I live 3 miles from the Cleveland division of Marshall Goldman and I recently met the founder. I need to get my butt over there and stare at, I mean drool on, I mean dream over that Koenigsegg.

Reeves Callaway is auctioning his iconic Sledgehammer. $425,000 with 10 days to go.

I think someone on the auction page has the right idea that Ken Lingenfelter will probably end up with it as he has the money & has other rare Callaways in his large collection.
