If that car was a 5MT, I would have bid on it (but strongly suspecting I would have been far out-bid in the end).

I really wanted one for my first car. Nothing special, but I still think it looks pretty good.

Yeah, the unpainted bumpers and not being Manuel are holding this back big time. Odd choice of vehicle to preserve.

I had a '93 SE before the TL that brought me here.
285k & was on engine #2, but it ran great. My dad bought it from a customer (he was working for a local Honda dealer [Svc Mgr]) for $100. A heavy cleaning & a new engine & I drove it for a couple years.

Damn, you just reminded me for some reason - my mom had a CB7 back in the day too. She sold it due to increasing maintenance costs but it was really solid otherwise. It was brown on brown

She really liked that car, and has been a Honda fan ever since. Drastic departure from a tragic chain of horribly problematic cars: turbo Volvo, forgettable '80s domestic throwaways...

I would def. recommend checking out the rest of ChromeCars' inventory. They've got a small collection of F&F cars alongside the 2 Bullitt icons.

No Reserve: 1986 Honda Prelude Si 2.0 5-Speed

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1986-honda-prelude-2/

This Prelude Si went to $9k, Not the original radio, and these wheels were Honda dealer accessories.

I bought the same model but in red right in fall of '85.
Great car, have alot of fun memories taking a bunch of road trips in it. Essentially a two seater, had amazing legroom.
Not that powerful but also light (~2300lb) so it was fun to toss around.

Stripes and wheels gotta go on that E30 but the interior and ITBs

Simple and clean race car you can drive on the street. Sounds exactly like that's what the current owner did with it.

If I showed my 13yr old son that tank auction, he would immediately do what Fry did on Futurama after he figured out his old bank account was worth like $4.7B and then tell me to cash in my 401(k).

Well, 0-60 with a Sherman tank is relative. It's more like how long does it take to point the main gun and fire a round at the car racing me at the light? Then once destroyed, do you win the drag race?

With 8,500 miles on the odometer, the car's true mileage is unknown, but considering this 507 is already fetching six figures, it seems unlikely that's a big issue. In fact, it's already surpassed the previous record-holder for the most expensive car sold on Bring a Trailer: a 1956 Mercedes 300 SL sold in 2019 for $1,234,567.

My oldest brother bought new a 1986 CRX Si. Light (~1800lb), fun to drive, and pretty versatile for a two seater with a large hatch area

This one is a little rough as the plastic side panels and front fenders have some cracks. One 1G CRX Si in great condition brought in $18.5k on BaT

Gah damn. I knew 507s were pretty rare, but I had no idea they regularly traded in the $2-3 million.

Always liked CRXs. Back in the day my older brother's friend would regularly come by the house in his red Si.

Same dude has been a Honda guy his whole life, eventually owned a 1G NSX. He said every time he drove it, it would see the redline.

Unfortunately, a CRX in the Bay Area parked anywhere other than inside a garage would go missing in fairly short order.

I appreciate the reference to BaT as I wasn't aware it existed. I'm thinking of posting my 2001 VW Jetta GLS VR6 as I gave it to my mother in 2003 and she has now passed away (in October). She literally drove it to the local store and back and it only has 43K miles on it. It still smells new. I was thinking of posting on some familiar VW boards as well as a few VW clubs, but I may go the BaT route.

The engine is still strong and the AC is cold. Zero issues. I saw some other VW Jetta posts on there and they seem to do well. I'll keep you guys posted if I go that route...I want it to go to the right owner because my mother loved this car (these are not the pictures I will use).

Check out Cars & Bids as well @Type34 . They have cheaper listing fees and more "normal" cars on there, and they get a good amount of traffic.

That's what my oldest brother had, a '86 CRX Si in red like below, great little fun two seater. Always loved the quirky asymmetric 4 hole alloy wheels, it worked with the styling of the rest of the car.
A colleague had a 2G CRX Si, never drove it but also was red.

Seen a few Z8s randomly on the street over the past few years and I can confirm they still look as good as ever.

IMO that was the golden age of contemporary BMW design; the E39, E46, E38 all looked great.
