Bring A Trailer / auction / other car ads of interest discussion thread

Not sure I follow. Zanardi was F1 driver who won CART Championships in 97 and 98 for Honda. He did some hand cycling after loosing his legs in a crash. I don't know that he ever was a sport bike racer??
I went and did a "Zanardi" search on BAT and come up with this. I was just commenting on how much higher this particular NSX was compared to others. Otherwise, yes, BAT gets some crazy high auction prices.

I didn't realize that many Zanardis had actually made their way to BAT, either. Those prices along with Chassis #002 commanding $155,000 above them, I think your thoughts are definitely on point to question this car's price.
Edit* Quick search to see if there were any comments on this auction at NSX Prime. Found the person who put together the deal for #002, he believes the price is verified given its condition.

Hmmm, one page behind, again. Said another way, stuck on Page 15, try as I might, I cannot see Page 16.
Edit: making this post pushed me over to Page 16.

^ I'm on pg 25 (fewer posts/pg = better loading times)
I get that occasionally, where you can see the next page, but it doesn't load. I've even posted to get to 'pg 16' and my post was on pg 15 :wtf:

Hmmm, the ad says the car is "believed to be 7,600 actual miles"; yeah, about that; my BS-O'Meter is registering a significant reading. If the car had 50,000 miles I'd believe it, but under 10,000? No, not so much.
Regardless, I'd happily buy that car if I had the scratch right now.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiet, well if I had FU money...that'd be pocket change prolly to some ppl....
But yes....definitely way more than I expected. I was thinking >150k but man over 270k....
I think having that 51/51 serial number probably plays into it...it's the "last" Zanardi NSX of the last great NSX gen car

Interesting that Roy Cats (big Diablo guy in the Lambo. community) bid on it. Wonder what he plans to do with it.

x100, at a local cars and coffee, met a NA2 owner who almost bought a Zarnadi in 2019. He was looking at that or a 2017 2G NSX (NC1), both were about the same price ~$140k.
He test drove both and said the suspension on the Zarnardi is very rough for a DD.

$300,000+ has been a consistent figure hit in the last few years. Most expensive at auction surpassed $450,000.

Though I'd prefer in silver, with that interior, I'd happily take this one.

Lots of owners on this one. Interesting comment made below the post where someone paid $7600 for rims and then when cheap on the actual rubber.

This Acura NSX-T is one of 166 sold in the US for the 2001 model year and is finished in Berlina Black over a black leather interior. The car was originally leased from Acura of Pasadena, California, and was subsequently purchased by the original lessee, who kept it until it was acquired by its current owner in 2020 according to the seller.

I see lot of BaT auctions describing cars that were owned by the original owner...and then picked up by someone else and listed on BaT....looks like speculators/flippers trying to cash in on the car auctions that seems to have no slow down even with the current economic situation.
People buy houses with cash during booms, then let them sit unoccupied. Just to flip them later for a healthy profit.

Would be interesting to see the rate of return on vehicle investments (the manual Vagons, the 1G NSX'es, etc.) over the years and compare it to stocks vs real estate vs etc..

Someone gonna have to bid at least $1 million. The market's still too sparse & strong for me to believe someone will let a GT go under 7 figures.

This 1990 Honda Accord LX coupe was reportedly stored for the last decade by the daughter of its original owner in British Columbia and was recently acquired by the selling dealer. Now showing 46k kilometers (~28k miles), the car is finished in burgundy over a gray cloth interior and is powered by a 2.2-liter inline-four linked to a four-speed automatic transaxle. The battery, fuel pump, and tank assembly were recently replaced, and an oil change was also performed. This Accord is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer with an accident-free Carfax report and British Columbia registration.
This LX coupe comes from the first year of fourth-generation Accord production, and it is finished in Navajo Red with black bumpers and side moldings as well as pop-out rear windows and front mud flaps. The selling dealer notes rust in the rear quarter panels around the wheel arches.
Stock 14″ four-lug steel wheels wear factory hubcaps and are shod with older Michelin LX1 tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The gray interior features front bucket seats with adjustable headrests and a matching rear bench. Equipment includes manually-operated windows and locks, a rear defroster, and a cassette stereo. The car is not equipped with air conditioning.
A four-spoke steering wheel fronts instrumentation including a 220-km/h speedometer flanked by an 8k-rpm tachometer and gauges monitoring fuel level and coolant temperature. The mechanical odometer reads approximately 46k kilometers (~28k miles).
The 2.2-liter F22A1 inline-four features four valves per cylinder and drives the front wheels through a four-speed automatic transaxle. The selling dealer reportedly replaced the fuel pump and tank assembly, battery, and engine oil in preparation for the sale.
The October 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage, lists at least one open recall, and displays British Columbia registration from its first entry in 1994.

Whats up with RDX owners?

That's my favorite gen Accord (imo Honda of the late 80s early 90s was peak Honda). I'm, curious to see if it breaks $10k. If it were an EX with a 5MT I'd have no doubt that it would, but a burgundy LX with a slushbox may hold it back.
