Kremer-Modified 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe
Curious what price this will bring, Kremer being the respected Porsche private racing team. Cute Kremer LED boost gauge to complement the factory boost gauge, and little sump coming off the turbo oil return line.

IIRC my friends was a '71 4 door 4MT, only mod's were the suspension and he put some decent Pirelli's on it as this was his college car. He was gonna repaint it (early '70's Datsun rust buckets) the OEM color, but only got around to fixing the rust and painted the whole car primer gray decades before flat/matte finishes became a thing.

The Lexus LFA was, and still is, an extraordinary car that pushed the boundaries of automotive engineering in its time. As such, used LFAs have since become an appreciating asset as people began to recognize their value. Case in point is this gourgeous LFA Nurburgring Edition, which is currently listed for around 2.5 times its original MSRP.
The 2012 LFA is up for sale on PistonHeads, where it has a current asking price of £849,950 ($1,137,968 / €1,003,373) with 11,890 miles (19,135 km) on the odometer. The car is one of 500 LFAs ever produced, and one of just 64 equipped with the Nurburgring Package, which included carbon fiber aero, new suspension, lighter wheels, and an extra 10 horsepower from its sonorous V10 engine.
The car kept its original paint color of white until 2019, at which point it was refinished in the deep green hue it currently wears today. “Emerald T”, as the unique color is called, is a deep green with a metallic gold flake, and it was achieved with TopazSkin, a removable hybrid of paint and paint protection film. Complementing it is a set of magnesium BBS wheels, which were standard issue on every LFA with the Nurburgring Package. Unlike the exterior, though, the interior was never changed, retaining the same black Alcantara upholstery and carbon-fiber trim from new.

Amazing metallic green and I don't typically like green cars.
I wonder if Toyota dealerships have the LFA shop manuals online just like Camry's and Corolla?

The Enzo's size was one of the more surprising cars I've seen, for years I'd only seen it in photos & video.
Local Ferrari showroom had one in their inventory & I was shocked at how small it is. It looks so much bigger on a computer/tv screen.
Also, IMO, looks odd in silver.
The lower tier Ferrari look ok/good in other colors, but the Enzo just looks best in red, IMO.
Neighbor at my old house had a silver '92 348 Spider (gated manual) & a yellow '99 355 F1 Spider.

This particular LFA was really active on IG. Owner shared the green wrap for a few months, but then it disappeared, sadly.
Edit* Here's the owner's IG. I forgot Macari were the ones who originally sold him the car some years back. Value was in the ball park of, if I remember right, $725,000 or around there which was pretty pricey for a LFA at the time.

Grail-spec Gullwing, but wasn't aware of the alloy 'lightweight' models.
https://www.classicdriver.com/en/art...des-benz-300sl
https://www.classicdriver.com/en/art...des-benz-300sl
Delivered new to Casablanca in 1955, this alloy-bodied Mercedes-Benz 300SL might very well be the quintessential post-war sportscar. On January 27, the lightweight Gullwing is coming up for sale with RM Sotheby’s in Arizona.
The 'SL' in the name originally stood for 'Sport Leicht', a designation chosen on account of the car's lightweight, tubular chassis – but, even before a fraction of the 1,400 standard cars had been sold, Mercedes-Benz engineering boss Dr Fritz Nallinger had already hatched a plan to make the Gullwing all the more more spectacular by developing an even lighter version specifically for privateer racers. With only 29 built, the 'Leichtmetallausführung' or 'Light Metal' Gullwing is now among the most coveted of all post-war Mercedes-Benz models – and the example pictured here is possibly the most interesting and most desirable of all, hence the $7 - 9m auction estimate it will carry when it crosses the block at RM Sotheby's in Arizona on January 27.
The Light Metal Gullwings were so called because of the paper-thin, aluminium bodywork and optional Plexiglass side and rear windows that helped to reduce the car's overall weight by a useful 209 pounds/ 95 kg. Add to that stiffer suspension and a high-performance NSL engine with competition cam, high compression cylinder head, bespoke throttle valve and re-calibrated injection metering and the result was a potent and responsive, 215 horsepower racer that was more than a match for the quickest sports cars then available from Aston Martin, Maserati or Ferrari.
A mere handful of alloy Gullwings have appeared on the open market within the last 20 years, and few of those have been backed by such an interesting history as this one – a very rare and highly original survivor which is known as the 'African Alloy' on account of having originally been supplied to Moroccan Benz agent and enthusiastic racer Joseph F. Weckerle of Casablanca.Completed at the factory on May 27, 1955, it was delivered to Weckerle a fortnight later finished in Silver Grey metallic with a blue vinyl and gabardine interior. All of the Alloy features save for the Plexiglass windows were present, along with the addition of a 'high-speed' rear axle, suitably uprated 270 kph speedo and a Becker radio.

https://www.motorauthority.com/news/...s-pagani-zonda
Someone has reportedly picked up the Pagani Zonda originally owned by Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton.
Quattroruote reported in December that Hamilton sold the Zonda for 10 million euros (approximately $11.3 million), pocketing himself a handsome profit in the process. According to the Italian publication, the car, which was ordered new by Hamilton seven years ago, originally cost 1.4 million euros (approximately $1.6 million).
A reason for the sale wasn't mentioned but Hamilton in 2020 said he no longer drives many of his supercars for environmental reasons, preferring electric cars instead, and occasionally hybrids. His collection includes classics like the Shelby Cobra, as well as newer machines like the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari. No doubt Mercedes-Benz AMG's One hypercar is also set to join it shortly.
Hamilton's Zonda is a unique example known as the Zonda 760 LH. It features a 760-hp version of the AMG 7.3-liter V-12 found in the Zonda line, as well as a manual transmission. It also features a distinct shade of purple that made it easy to spot on the streets of Monaco where Hamilton resides. Hamilton even caused a minor accident in the car back in 2015.
Famously, he said in a 2018 interview with The Times that the Zonda wasn't exactly the best driver's car.
“The Zonda is terrible to drive,” he said. “It’s the best-sounding car I own, but handling-wise it’s the worst.”
Hamilton ended 2021 by missing out on a record eighth Formula One title due to a controversial decision by Race Control in the closing laps of the final race. Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen went on to win the race and the season.
Hamilton is currently slated to continue racing in F1 with Mercedes this season, though there are rumors he may also retire to focus on other pursuits, including a potential fashion label.

FWIW, my brother bought this very B6 and I spent four days with it while in South Beach recently.
It's a nice GT kind of ride, sightlines over the hood slope off so it's kinda hard to guess where the front corners are when parking. The twin turbo V8 is a little less powerful than the M6 and slightly heavier chassis (AWD) but according to C&D still does 0-60 in 3.7s.
Overall a nice drive for a few days, over his cramped 993 and 996 for me (6'4"). Also relearned that I still hate iDrive and hope I never have to work in that engine bay

I forget what all went into the 400R, but I imagine a clan R33 could be had & done up for a lot less...

For Sale: The Last Surviving 1982 Ferrari 126 C2 Formula 1 Car
Pretty unreal how a 1982 Ferrari F1 car, the absolutely stunning Harvey Postlethwaite designed 126C2 (only one of seven produced and with the revised front pullrod suspension and longitudal gearbox) with some decent pedigree (WCC, poles, podiums, win) gets less money ($2.143M) than a production Nissan up for sale only two years ago. Inflation?
None the less the 126C2 was a car with dark clouds over it, as Villeneuve was killed in one and Pironi was crippled in another, still won the World Constructor's Championship in 1982. Although some carbon fiber was in the overall car (wings, horse collar around the cockpit,...), it was pretty modern with a aluminum honeycomb sheet Hexcel chassis. Still looks fabulous 4 decades on and the last ground effects skirted Ferrari, always liked the way the component companies (SKF, Speedline, Champion,....) with their stickers down the side of the lower sidepods.

The 400R though, is pretty much up there with the Z-Tune in terms of Japanese icons. This is the last of the 40 built & has sort of become the most iconic of them since the rest never come up for sale. There are two with V-Spec Performance in Aus., and there's one in the US now that reportedly was bought for well over $1m. You could do a R33 up for much cheaper, but probably trying to rummage through Nismo's catalog to match will likely set you back over 6 figures & a long wait list for their parts out of the Omori factory.

Yeah, if I were in the market for a non US-spec GTR, I'd be perfectly content with a clean R32.
I briefly got to drive a R33 GTR around a friend's apartment complex, didn't get much out of it, other than I've driven a GTR. He claimed he got stopped by HPD every time he took it out.

https://www.autoblog.com/2022/01/16/...-auction-sale/
We can't be certain that ex-Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button is shrinking his car collection, but he's been doing some weeding in his automotive garden. In 2021, he sold his Porsche Carrera GT and 1994 Porsche Turbo, in 2018 he sold his McLaren P1. In 2017 he sold his 2005 Ford GT. To start 2022, the LA-based Englishman is unloading a 1970 Ford Bronco restomod. Currently up for an auction that runs through January 20 on Collecting Cars, it's ripe for a run to the OHV park for a day of desert blasting then a zip to the beach for a sunset campfire. The lifestyle bits include the Dark Blue paint, red accents on the jewelry in front, and custom cream leather interior stitched up in a period pattern. The bikini top has been reverse dyed to match, cream on top, dark blue underneath. Inside, there's a wood-rimmed wheel, a chromed shifter for the three-speed automatic, a Kenwood sound system, and push-button start. The side windows have been deleted.
The angry bits include a 302-cubic-inch V8 transplanted with Fitech fuel injection and an MSD ignition kit. There's a cutoff switch for the Optima battery, too. Bilstein dampers provide some lifted room for the 17-inch Method Wheels and 35-inch BFG tires turned by Borgerson power steering in front. New headlights, KC spotlights, and Wilwood front brakes will help avoid obstacles on the trail, rock rails will keep the body mostly fine when obstacles are unavoidable. If it all goes bad, there's a half roll cage over the rear quarters.
Speaking of the body, it's been gone over and cleared of rust. However, Button's only had the Bronco four years and has receipts for his tenure, but no record of the rig's history before that. The odometer, for instance, reads 168 miles. The bidding is up to just over $50,000 at the time of writing, anyone sincerely trying to win should expect to pay a lot more.

A 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s on January 27 and is expected to sell for between $1.45 million and $1.65 million.
The German car manufacturer only ever built 1,400 examples of the 300 SL Gullwing and of these, 530 are finished in a simple shade of silver. Original customers had nine other standard colors they could choose from and also had the option of selecting a custom shade through the sonderfarben (special colors) program. The owner of this 300 SL Gullwing did just that and chose to have the car painted in Dunkelgrau, a shade of dark grey that makes this example one of just two units built in this color.
The listing reveals that the car was originally delivered to a man in Cleveland, Ohio who retained it until November 1971. It was then sold to a dealership on North Royalton, Ohio where it remained until 1987 when it was purchased by New Jersey collector Frank Gallogly. During Gallogly’s ownership, the engine was rebuilt and the car was repainted. Over the decades it passed through the hands of various other owners before a complete restoration was started in 2014.
During this period, the car’s mechanical components were rebuilt and it was re-painted once again. The 300 SL’s exterior brightwork was also re-chromed and polished, the wheels were refinished, and extensive work was done to the car’s interior, including the fitment of a new headliner and high-quality leather.
RM Sotheby’s doesn’t mention how many miles the Mercedes has under its belt but despite that, it will no doubt attract a lot of attention when it hits the auction block.
