I think that's the watered down version already...I don't think they would test a concept car with 20" rims and totally black windows with racing suspension with no wheel gap on the street....there's no point of testing a production car that way....

Whats up with RDX owners?

Do I see LED tails and HIDs??
#2814
Knowing Honda, it's probably LED tails and halogen projector headlights.
They'll reserve HIDs for Acuras.

And then omit the LEDs from the MMC?

Three Wheelin'
Obviously we need to wait for the de-camo'ed Accord, but in looking at the pics combined with the show-circuit Accord Coupe and Crosstour...
2013 Design
Fusion > Sonata (still) > Camry, Accord, Altima, Malibu LTZ (ECO model is boring)
The outlier may be the 2013/14 Mazda 6...I love my 2010 and the next model, based on the Takeri concept, seems to be intriguing...

Kinda looks the same as the current gen. But with projector (halogen?) headlights and daytime running LEDs a la Audi

Agree, looks very similar to the current gen.

Rumor had it that the 9G Accord would be more evolutionary than revolutionary. Aside from the headlights and taillights (and although camo'd up), it pretty much resembles my 12 Accord Ex sedan....right down the wheels and exhaust.

So.....8.5G Accord in disguise.

The sizzle in the Steak
Gonna be hard to tell the new gen apart from the old gen.

Same here. the current Accord actually looks very nice, they just needed to tidy up the proportions (front overhang looking blunt and heavy, wasn't as sleek as before due to pedestrian safety design), and do some clean up in other areas. at least the taillights (from what I can see) will now look more integrated than the outgoing model's. And I hope the projectors headlights come standard on all models, a la Odyssey.

ya....I also think that most Honda designs can withstand the test of time...I'm not sure if Honda is capable of designing that would "wow" everyone while keeping the design ageless....

LOL ala Civic...?
3G TL comes to mind. Funny how BMW and other manufacturers can get away with evolutionary styling changes...

Seems like Honda basically kept the roofline/greenhouse the same (which is the best thing about the Accord) and is going to make the front and rear fascias a bit more cutting edge.
Surprised no one has posted pics of the dash.
Have to say, I'm impressed - looks nice (better than the dash/centerstack in the new Camry, Altima and Malibu).
It's also better than the dash/centerstack in the TSX design-wise/aesthetically.

Why would they talk about Sonata sales - since they are capped by supply.
Otoh - combined Sonata and Optima sales should still be near the top.
Also, a new Sonata is due in about another year and a half.

Once new Altima and Accord sales starts. No one will ever talk about Sonata and to certain extent Fusion sales.

^ Interior looks really nice.

So I guess only the plug in version is getting that more aggressive front end? Doesn't look like any of the other cars in the spy pics have the same aggressive front and rear bumper. Too bad.
As for the interior, it definitely looks nice. But I'll wait until I actually sit in one and get a close look at the plastics before passing judgment.

buttons are blended into dash on reasonable size center stack. so it is not overhelming but gives elegance. not over done.
Accord center stack is too wide like the new Lexus.
all you see is vast area behind the dash. every thing else is below eyesight.

Hyundai/Kia has no chance of implementing some thing new. At best copy some tech from Germans. where is 8speed transmission from Koreans in 4 cylinder cars?. Honda and Nissan are going to implement CVT in 4 cylinder.
