Took a quick look through Wiki and IIRC I've driven the 1G 2G 3G 4G 5G 6G 7G and 10G Accords but have only owned one 5G Accord EX 4 door 4AT (for our daughters to drive). Sad the 6MT and 2.0 are gone.

Only Accord I've owned was a 93 CB7 SE, but have driven every gen from there to the 10G
My stepmom & sister both had 7G (02 V6 EXL& 98 I4 EX)
Worked for a Honda dealer when the 8G were new & drove just about every iteration of that gen, including a couple V6-6MT models.

I saw a new Accord a few days ago. It looks odd.

Looks like a wish.com version of an Audi A7.
It's disappointing though, the 10G was such a good car. Even without the 6MT, the 2.0T was a great motor. Unfortunate they didn't carry it over but I'm guessing there might be a Type R version of this coming sooner than later which will have it.

Accord Type R
I'll be shocked, but would be good for them to bring back the 2.0T somehow.

I think they'd electrify the Accord long before a Type R variant.

Honestly it wouldn't surprise me to see an ATR come out to compete with the Elantra N. The Accord is still bread and butter for Honda and making a high performance manual transmission one would likely lure some SUV buyers back to sedan land.

The Accord is massive compared to the Elantra, though.
Maybe against a Sonata N

I've always associated the Elantra as more of a Civic competitor.
@SuperTrooper169 should be able to comment, since he's had both (Accord X & Elantra N).
I just remember the Accord X seeming to rival my F150 for interior space (apart form height) it had a massive back seat, definitely much larger than it seemed from the outside.

The Accord is a slightly bigger car overall, but it's not a massive difference. Much less than you might think. The Elantra N is deceivingly spacious inside. I've sat in a Sonata N-Line and it had less back legroom than my Elantra N. And I recently sat in a Kia Stinger GT2 and Lexus GS 350 F Sport and both had even worse legroom. I couldn't even sit behind myself in the Stinger or get out of the rear seat without contorting myself. I can actually fit behind myself in the Elantra N. My Accord did have more rear leg room, but less front leg room, so it felt tighter to me than the Elantra because obviously I'm sitting in the drivers seat more than the rear.

Interesting, I never would have put the 2 against each other.
And I didn't find the Stinger back seats to be terrible, they had sufficient room for a forward facing carseat, and more room than the Fusion Sport I tried.

Honda to end 41 years of Accord production at Marysville plant
https://news.wosu.org/2023-03-14/hon...rysville-plant
It’s the end of an era for Honda, as the auto maker announces it’s moving production of the Accord to Indiana to make room for electric vehicle manufacturing in central Ohio.
The company announced Tuesday that it will begin producing the iconic Accord at its Indiana Auto Plant in 2025. The goal is to make room for electric vehicle production at the Marysville Auto Plant.
“MAP will begin preparing for EV production as early as January 2024, by consolidating its two production lines currently making vehicles powered by internal combustion engines and hybrid-electric vehicle systems,” a company press statement said.
“Consolidating production to one line will enable MAP to begin building the infrastructure necessary for EV production.
The release did not say if any workers would lose their jobs, but did say “Every MAP associate will have a position as part of this transition.”

2023 Honda Accord | The Art of Normal Cars

The 2023 Honda Accord made its US debut in November 2022 with a fresh new design, a hybrid powertrain, and tech upgrades in the cabin. It is time for the 2024 model to arrive but it is not ready for America yet. Instead, the 2024 Accord makes its Japanese debut, possibly previewing some of the changes the US-spec sedan will also receive later this year.
The available photos depict the car without visual changes on the outside where the front fascia features slim LED headlights and a hexagonal grille. At the back, the taillights retain their coast-to-coast design with lighting strips extending close to the Honda badge in the middle. Bigger changes can be seen inside, though.
There’s a dashboard with a new shape for the upper part of the cabin, which now hosts a new bezel for the digital instrument cluster. And while the size of that screen remains unchanged, there are tweaks to the trim that surrounds it and Honda says there’s now also an available 10.5-inch head-up display.
Move left to the center console, and you’ll find the same 12.3-inch center touchscreen as the 2023 Accord in the US but below that, there’s a large round knob that replaces the climate controls. The previous layout with 12 buttons and 3 small knobs is gone and there’s something that Honda calls Experience Selection Dial or at least this is its rough translation from Japanese. It’s a multi-function dial that controls the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning of the car, as well as other essential functions that can be also pre-set for each user of the car.
A quick comparison with the 2023 Accord in the United States unveils yet another change. The area in front of the armrest on the center console is now cleaner thanks to the lack of a traditional gear shifter for the automatic transmission. Instead, it is replaced by four buttons replicating the P, R, N, and D positions. Behind are the buttons for the drive modes and the electronic parking brake.

The 2025 Honda Accord is here. There's a new trim level called SE, and everything is a bit more expensive than last year. Though you do get a little bit more for the money.
As the replacement for the long-running EX trim, the Accord SE has big shoes to fill. Notching just above the base-model LX and equipped with the non-hybrid 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, Honda bills it as a sporty Accord with plenty of black trim for the doors, mirrors, B-pillars, and black 17-inch wheels. Inside, it has a few more luxuries than the LX, with heated front seats, a 10-way power driver's seat, and a moonroof.
All Accord trims are between $400 and $760 more compared to last year's sedan. Rear air conditioning vents and more USB-C charging ports are now standard across the line. The LX starts at $29,390, squeaking in below the $30,000 threshold with the turbo engine, 17-inch wheels, and Honda Sensing driver assists all standard. Replacing the EX, the SE is priced at $31,655. The least expensive hybrid is the Accord Sport at $34,750.Here's a full breakdown of pricing. All figures include Honda's $1,095 destination charge.
Trim 2025 Price 2024 Price Difference
Accord LX $29,390 $28,990 +$400
Accord SE/EX $31,655 $31,005 +$650
Accord Sport Hybrid $34,750 $33,990 +$760
Accord EX-L Hybrid $36,035 $35,635 +$400
Accord Sport-L Hybrid $36,470 $35,970 +$500
Accord Touring Hybrid $40,395 $39,985 +$410
Going hybrid gets you the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder with Honda's dual-motor system. Horsepower is only marginally better than the turbo (204 versus 192) but torque is way up at 247 pound-feet. In our experience, the electric assist makes the Accord far better at daily commutes than the numbers suggest, providing plenty of low- and mid-range grunt. Fuel economy isn't bad either, especially for the Accord EX-L, which gets a combined rating of 48 mpg.
The hybrid Accord is also your only path to the larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen and other features like leather seats, wireless phone charging, Google Built-In, and much more. Honda says over 50 percent of Accord sales are for hybrid trims.
