As long as the sedan doesn't look anything like the 03-05 rear then it's all good

I like the fastback c-pillar, but I wonder how that will effect the trunk space...

I'll reserve judgement until the camo comes off, but I have a feeling it's gonna be too dumbed down from the concept.
I hope it's not

It came out wrong. I meant, Will the sedan version be released the same time the coupe is released?

I'm waiting for the sedan pics to come out before I decide to get my new ride. If I don't like how it looks then I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the TSX (still considering the IS250, tho).

Here's a spy pic of the production 2008 Accord coupe. Below is a pic of the concept, for comparison.

As you can see, the production version will hue very closely to the concept; atleast from the rear 3/4 view. Looks good, IMO. Very little unchanged, except for the exhaust (which was expected anyway).

The concept looks better IMO. They did something to the trunk and/or bumper area that I don't feel flows as well as the concept. Shoulda just kept it the same.

Concept looks better. The current photo makes the rear look like a first gen CL.

Yeah the most different thing I see is the trunk area and taillights.

Why Honda why do you always tone it down from the concept? Nissan/Infiniti doesn't geez!

They may not be that far apart. If you'll notice, the flow of the taillights is broken up by white tape. Pull that tape off and the rear starts to look alot more like the concept. The side treatment is also pretty similar if you lose the tape on the back window.

Of course, it would help if the viewing angle was closer to the concept pic's. I'll reserve judgement until we get a better view...

i'm not a big fan of the sloping back end either, and from that angle it does look like a larger Civic Coupe.

But chances are, after I trade in my 2nd Gen TL-S, I'll probably be getting the 8th Gen AV6 if it comes with the rumored 280hp V6.

If they manage to keep it true to the concept I may purchase one after I sell my CL (this week). If not, I'll save my pennies for the G37.

i'm pretty sure all or most of us expected a deviation from the concept. it's a honda, after all.

not sure if i like the civic-like rear...but either way, honda will sell a bunch of these.

And yet, there's not that much deviation here.

I'd wager there was more deviation from the G coupe concept.

Take a closer look. The taillights are the same. They're covered by the same white tape that's on the rear part of the greenhouse. There's a little camo there; it's not totally exposed.

saw the concept at the auto show...it looks a lot better in person than in the photos. I assume the same will be true for the production model.

I know it's the same shape but I meant I like the 'black-out' look with the circular lights and stuff.

I think the test mule shots really doesn't give the coupe any justice. When's the last time you've seen really good spy shots (or any pictures for that matter) from a camera phone?

I was hatin' on the G37 coupe in the other thread ... now I'm going to reserve judgement until I see it in the flesh. The pics of the Accord Concept was done under ideal lighting conditions ... camera phone outside with the test mule ... can't compare so easily.

What is surprising ... is how close Honda kept it to the concept. A step in the right direction ... they just need to kick it up a notch! (a la Emeril)

good catch, yeah i think its safe to assume that you can't really judge the outcome yet based off a test mule.
