Looks decent from the A-pillar back but that front end may actually be uglier than the 7G's frontend.

Looks like a chop of the so-called "next gen TL/TSX" that's been around for a while now...

i dont like it....kinda looks like a civic mixed with tsx from the a-pillar back...front end looks similar to the current accord which, imo, needs a huge facelift

As long as they don't screw up the rear end, it's good.

I saw a new camry the other day, and I have to say that I am impressed with it. It is "tastefully" bold, but still restrained, which is a very good thing.

The next Accord really needs to turn up the volume in the styling department, without getting too crazy, if it wants to compete with the camry in style.

I saw a new Camry finally, too. But I have to say I really didn't like it at all. Pretty soon there will be thousands of them all over the place and I'll want to barf on every one of them.

With what they've done w/ the civic, I'm sure the new accords will look just great...

New accord will be sharp if it turns out like the civic.

It looks alright. Is this going to replace the Euro Accord/TSX or the ugly/boring USDM Accord/JDM Inspire?

Although the grille looks similar to the fit, i think they could have done better on it for the accord

Elegant Vanilla.
As far as vanilla goes...I likes. MUCH better than the current Camry. Those things look horrible in person.

I like the new Camry so the new generation Accord needs to have better styling than the current frumpy design.

I can read where it says "September 2007...." something something (japanese uses kanji [chinese] characters) Perhaps the lease date as a '08 model?

That sounds about right - we know it will be an 08 model - the only question is the release date. Honda may try a Camry-like earlier than normal release - but only if all things for the new model are in place.

I hope it replaces the USDM accord (duh.) The current TSX could run on for quite some time just the way it is... it still looks uuber badass.

from Hondanews.com regarding the current generation Accord (around the time of its release):

When designers and stylists went to work on 2003 Accords they were looking to produce a more dynamic overall package, one with a more muscular and agile look. They chose a cheetah as their design theme, with a sleek overall body, aggressive front and muscular flanks. Their goal was to make the help make the Accord more of an emotional choice of buyers with more dramatic and aggressive styling.
It seems someone ended up beating the "cheetah" with the boring stick after the designers were done. The current accord is much better than previous generations, but I have yet to feel the "cheetah" when i see an accord.

It wasn't just a boring stick - it was an ugly stick when it came to the rear end. My 99 Accord is boring, the 03-05s were just plain wrong.

I saw Yaris today and thought - is the whole Toyota sedan lineup gonna look alike? Talk about same sausage, different length - if it wasnt for the scale, the average soccer mom could mistake an Avalon, for a Camry or Yaris (I assume the Corolla will be just another copy when that gets redesigned). I hope that doesn't happen with the Honda lineup, but from this sketch it looks like it might.

I think it looks better than the new Camry. I really hate that design. Talk about being beat with an ugly stick!! Toyota is really disappointing me lately. Hopefully the production Accord will look better than this new Camry (I don't think it will take much).
